Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 17

Fantasy Football Another week, another red arrow. That makes it six on the bounce for us, we are now challenging Chelsea for most embarrassing season. We scored 53 points which was only two above the average. Our GW rank was above 1.7 million and all this naturally led to us dropping in the overall to a bit over 1.1 million. Although we only went down about 60k or so spots, it is really difficult imagining getting this turned around. At this stage we would be happy to welcome the 2016-2017 season and get this nightmare over with.

GW15 in summary
In another brilliant move, we kicked off the game-week with our ever consistent crap transfer. We defy any of you to get so many transfers wrong! In a row!! The saddest part is that there is usually not a whole lot of fighting about the transfers, which makes all equally in need of a slap. However bad our transfer decisions have been so far, they still can’t match the utter ridiculousness of our captaincy selections. Naturally we went Kane this past GW and as a back up we chose KDB, who managed even less points. It has been so bad we can’t even get our VC to put up a respectable score. Once again the usual suspects got the bulk of our points. Mahrez, Vardy and Lukaku who are owned by more than 50% of FPL managers, are not exactly the ones we need to perform in a major way. Shout out to our keeper who brought in eight points though, thanks for at least putting in an effort.

Transfer for GW17 – Sold Eden Hazard & bought Aaron Ramsey
Let’s just say that our investment / punt on Hazard hasn’t exactly gone to plan and reports that he missed training on Friday finally gave us the excuse to put us and probably also him out of the collective misery. The purchase of Ramsey is straightforward enough – since coming back into the team the Welshie has grabbed two goals and an assist in his last two games and although we expect Monday’s game vs City to be somewhat tougher, we think there will be goals and City have not been great defensively without Vincent Kompany who is again ruled out. We were also aware that we had no Arsenal coverage and with them looking confident and with some decent fixtures coming up, we felt we needed some Gooner representation. Why not Mesut Ozil? Mainly due to Wenger implying that he will try and his eye-catching midfielder a rest over Christmas and it would be just our luck to buy him and he gets two games off!

We also have a small eye on a certain small Argentinian who has Sunderland at home next week and the above move gives us the option to do just that should Kun come through Monday in one piece.

Team Selection
The only real decision here was in defence and which three to pick. We benched Kolarov simply because we feel Arsenal will score but also in the knowledge that he may be a 10 minute cameo risk should Manuel go the Clichy route, but also knowing that Naughton is a risk too and if he is benched again then he’s less likely to cameo in which case Kolarov plays anyway. If he plays. If you get our logic!

Captain – Romelu Lukaku
This was unanimous and will likely be the most popular choice this week overall. He ticks both form and fixture boxes here as Leicester may be top but they concede a lot and we are expecting a fairly high scoring affair.

Our vice-captain is Riyad Mahrez

    Morning all!

Is there any more news on Hazard other than him dropping from 75 per cent chance of playing to 50? I’ve still got my FT and so am seriously considering taking him out for Coutinho. Team is below based on doing the transfer – very much appreciate your thoughts!

Sorry, any news other than he missed training?! I’m guessing it’s not looking good. Sorry, only had four hours sleep – the car broke down at 2:30am this morning as I was the designated driver heading home and didn’t rock up home until 5am sad

Morning all, do I have the best eleven on the field? Butland keeps biting me from the bench. Should Souare be starting over Cresswell?

Not sure who to captain, Leicester have some how managed 3 CSs in their last 3 away games whilst Everton have conceded plenty recently.
