Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 29

Well that went well….NOT! A total score of 28 points in GW28 may seem to some as irony, but to us at FF247 it has completely summed up our season. Rubbish. We couldn’t even beat an average of 35 and thus dropped 86k places to an overall rank of 906,635. Nothing has gone right and frankly none of us will be sad to wave this season farewell. Or piss off.
GW28 in summary – this summary won’t take long, it’s painful to write and painful to read, unless you like a touch of self harm. The highlight of our score was two assists. Yep, that’s it – two assists. No goals scored, no clean sheets kept. The assisters were Payet and Mahrez. Everything else was clearly a complete disaster. Hennessey in goal conceded two at Sunderland, while our defenders Van Dijk, Bellerin and Morgan also conceded two a piece against opponents that they should easily have kept quiet. Ozil did nothing vs Swansea and Ali didn’t even start at West Ham, but did manage 30mins and a single point for us. Our forward line of Kun, Vardy and Kane scored two points each. We benched Wollscheid who naturally kept a clean sheet and then rubbed it in our faces as he proceeded to collect the three bonus points. Brilliant. Let’s move on to what will undoubtedly be another unmitigated disater!

Transfer decision for GW29 – we have sold Hector Bellerin and bought Vincent Kompany
Home to Villa – now what could go wrong?!! Bellerin has gone for now, due to Arsenal likely blanking next week as well as injuries to Cech and Koscielny which certainly makes the Gooner defence as less attractive prospect than it was. We would also expect Spurs to score in this week’s North London derby and with City facing Villa and then Norwich next week we feel we have a chance of an immediate return on our investment on the City skipper. We’ve chosen not to concentrate on the fact they got hammered at Liverpool in midweek. Decent fixtures, no blank next week and a double game-week on the horizon sealed it.

Captain – Sergio Aguero
One of the easier discussions we have had – with Kun home to an awful Villa side, he is by far and away the leading candidate for the armband this week. And even if the unthinkable happens and he blanks we at least won’t lose much ground as the world and his wife and maybe even his dog will be with us.

Our vice-captain is Harry Kane
If Kun doesn’t feature then Kane will step up – he has a decent record vs Arsenal and Spurs will be all out to cause more damage to the Gooner title hopes as well as bolstere their own chances.

Hi lads I’ve made a decision. Out cresswell in kompany and now debating out Arnie in Ali for a -4. Arnie was only a temp punt anyway. Good move or not?

      Raziel says:

Not worth a hit in my opinion. But hey, nobody knows what will happen. For all we know Alli scores +10 points. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arnautovic bagged 1 versus Chelski either though.

OMG, awesome team guys. Which transfer should I make? McCarthy to Hart or Richards to Kompany? Even if I make no transfers I like the team I field, But I do think that making that transfer could help my team. However, which transfer to make? smile

      Raziel says:

Seriously, I have literally been responding to 8 posts from 8 different people spread over 2 topics/threads! AND NOBODY RESPONDS TO ME!? I mean, wtf? I helped everyone here and some guys on a topic back. What do I get back? Back 2 back, nothing! >.<

      • inittowinit says:

Been an odd day in that respect Raz. Seeing a lot of RMT’s but far less reciprocal responses. Anyway. How’s my team looking this week, it’s linked laugh

        • Raziel says:

Wow, eying GW30, your team is shit mate. No playing goalie, all those Arsenal players. Wonder if CP has Henessey playing tomorrow. DUDE! Bad planning on your part. >.<

        • inittowinit says:

I was being sardonic Raz, didn’t mean for you to go and actually look! Thanks for the appraisal though smile My last 4 transfers have all been to take out a blanker and replace them with a GW30’er, that’s hardly bad planning! And I’ve got 2 FT’s for next week. Just unlucky I had so many to start with. But yeah, you’ll not find a bigger Hull fan this week than me laugh

      • Bongo says:

maybe because it’s harder to give advice when your team and rank are better than most smile
For what it’s worth I don’t like the Hart transfer as he had a shocker against Liverpool and is expensive for a gk who will have no saves to make against Villa. So Kompany seems the best option if you feel making a transfer out of your suggestion’s but the team looks good to go imo..

      • FC Sanchez says:

I’d do the Hart move I guess purely cuz Kompany is injury prone! He does score from time to time so if you’re not worried about injury, Kompany. (U not considering Williams w/ Swansea’s fixtures? I guess CS’s aren’t really their thing this season maybe.)

        • Raziel says:

Also eying the DGW City will have in GW34 probably. And for bench boost it might be a good idea to have 2 playing goalies. 😉

But its a hard one. If I look at Harts points from the past 10 gw’s, it’s far from impressive.

      jumpers4goalposts says:

Raz Its all down to funds and preference. Hart is cheaper than Kompany I believe so yer either or really. I’ve personally gone for Kompany because I have strong keeper in ddg and happy to have him playing week in week out at the moment. But Richards of villa would be a good move to get rid of so Kompany would be good move. Butland is playing well so I would keep him. Hope this helps but I’m not doing great in my league so feel free to ignore my advice

      • Raziel says:

I take in everything everyone says. Indeed keeping Butland, if not for first goalie than for the bench boost chip!

It’s a hard one, I like Daniels/vDijk/Huth to get me points. Only one I have doubts on is Butland, but that’s this gw. Maybe Hart is the way to go. On that note, City have been pretty shite and I like the advantage of a Kompany in my team. I bet he will score goals the upcoming weeks. >.< GRRR! Hard one.

      DMC says:

I’d favour komps over hart raz. I don’t have any stats to back it but I believe he tends to score when city are strugling. In your case, richards to komps instead of mcarthy to hart makes even more sense becasue in butland you have a decente keeper, which is more than we can say about richards at villa. Now watch him score against his old club!

      • Raziel says:

Richards is class, that team is shtie though. It fell apart when Vlaar left. Defence never been the same.

        • DMC says:

What can I say. There was a time villa had a good fantasy-wise (and real epl-wise) team. They had Milner, Ashley Young, Carew, Barry, Laursen. Even 4.0 Luke Young scored big! Now, they are really bad and none of them have consistent returns so richards is deadwood there my friend.
