Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 15

Fantasy football 247 tips teamIt’s a happy and chipper FF247 camp that brings you this week’s Team review and plans for the future as we had a great GW14. We scored 82pts in total (net 78 with the 4pt hit), which produced another set of green arrows for the team, while our two transfers, Alexis Sanchez and Stewart Downing, paid immediately for the hit. We massively beat the average score of 49pts and, like many did this week, we got our captain correct! It really was another Sergio Aguero masterclass which made our week as his two goals, assist and maximum bonus points in City’s 4-1 win at Sunderland returned 32pts. Who needs Diego Costa eh?! Well we do this week, but we’ll come to that later. The midweek gameweek had a good feel from the beginning as clean sheets from Swansea’s Neil Taylor and Kyle Bartley and an assist from Downing allowed us to forgive Charlie Austin and Gylfi Sigurdsson their “week off” from delivering. However, it is some decisions that you take that really make you happy. Unlike many we decided to start Burnley’s George Boyd and boy did he justify our faith! A first half goal vs Newcastle coupled with two bonus points were very satisfying and gave us 31pts from day 1 as we looked then to Wednesday evening.
Everton, Leighton Baines…what went wrong? Home to Hull, we are talking clean sheet and an assist at least surely? No clean sheet, no assist…and a booking. 1 solitary point. Very disappointing. But of course it was to get better. Chelsea’s 3rd clean sheet in a row brought us a welcome 6pts from keeper Thibaut Courtois, although Cesc Fabregas failed to contribute – but at least he didn’t pick up his 5th yellow card. New signing Alexis Sanchez delivered an instant return as his late, late winner at home to Southampton brought a smile to our faces and 9pts to his new home. He’s settled in well. And then we had Aguero – what can you say about the man? That’s 14 goals for the season now and he has become the first player to reach 100pts for the season. Captain fantastic – the lad is on fire! Thanks Sergio.
We climbed 587 places and now sit in a global position of 1,395 – threatening the top 1,000 and hopefully our careful planning over the next few weeks will see that happen.

Transfer for GW15
We have decided to hold our transfer this week, thus giving us 2fts for GW16, which we believe will be very useful and we don’t feel a need to make any moves with our team, despite Tim Krul being injured, Neil Taylor suspended and there being a doubt over Toby Alderweireld.

Our team in full…
The team pretty much selects itself this week. Courtois obviously continues in goal as Chelsea travel to Newcastle, who are still struggling with a number of injuries. Alan Hutton comes into the starting XI as Villa host Leicester, while Leighton Baines takes the tough trip to City, who despite firing going forward are still suspect at the back and have a couple of injuries. Baines’ attacking prowess makes him an auto pick. Kyle Bartley takes the tough trip to West Ham, but with Alderweireld hosting Man Utd, if he’s fit, and Neil Taylor suspended, then Bartley remains in the team.
In midfield, we are giving the heroic George Boyd a rest and we’ll play Alexis, Fabregas, Siggy and Downing.
Up front we have the returning Diego Costa to come in and after a week’s rest, we will unleash him on the Toon defence. Kun is home to Everton while Charlie Austin faces Burnley at home….and we all know how much better Rangers are at home than away.
So it’s back to 3-4-3, with young Boyd first sub….just in case!

Captain

Our captain this week is Sergio Aguero

Well, that’s not a surprise is it?!!! The world and his wife and probably also his dog will be captaining Aguero this week and rightly so. Seven goals in his last four home matches tells you all you need to know.
Our vice captain is Charlie Austin.

The team in text format is –

Courtois
Bartley, Hutton, Baines
Sanchez, Fabregas, Sigurdsson, Downing
Costa, Austin (vc), Aguero (c)

Bench: Krul. Boyd, Alderweireld, Taylor

Having problem in choosing a premium defender.

Wanted Clichy first, but now hearing that Kolarov is back, which means that rotation will kick in. Zab is competing with Sagna, and City has too many CBs.

Can make a boring move for Azpi too, or can look for defenders from Spurs who are under 5M and have great next 4 fixtures, including Palace and Burnley, both at home in coming 3 GWs.

    Suggestions?

Hi fantasy managers. Im doing relatively good this season currently ranked in 71K but can do much better! Anyways don’t know what move(s) to make this week. 1FT £0.6 in the bank. Thinking of bringing in Hazard as my mids are a bit week but that would require a 4pt hit. If i take the hit it would mean i would have to kick out Baines for a 4.1 defender and Chadli to Hazard. Would you guys suggest keeping Baines or bring Hazard for a hit since his price is rising very fast.

      The B says:

This is my personal opinion, but i would bring in Hazard. But still, Baines is a really good defender and technically a midfielder, but i sold him 3 GWs ago for Sanchez and since then he has only got a total of 3 points.

So its about selling Baines at the right time. You could get Hazard, but get ready to accept the fact that Baines will eventually score and assist from time to time. So dont moan about leaving out Baines.

Hazard has great fixtures coming up and a Chelsea mid is practically a must for quite some time.

      • Eagle says:

The B – yea i understand that about Baines but my midfield looks a bit weak with only Sanchez being the most expensive. Do you think it would be overkill with 3 chelsea players: Azpi, Costa and now Hazard? Or do i ignore that since they are the best team in the league?

      • Eagle,

Agree wholeheartedly with this. Well said, B.

I took out Baines to get Costa and I’m delighted whenever he scores but I know there’ll be that one day when Baines picks up 15 points in one match, I just have to accept that.

        • Raziel says:

Over the season Baines will come good. It’s idiotic they only managed to keep 2 cleansheets but whatever, the luck ain’t with the Everton owners. On that note, 2 goals and 6 assists is pretty decent. If he did just pick up the points he usually picks up he would’ve outscored Fab and Haz even (that as a defender). For me he’s a season keeper, but hey, I can afford him.

    Hey everyone!

Would be happy to hear any suggestions on transfers and overall situation.
0 ft left and £0,1 in the bank. A lot of injuries(
Should I risk and sell Di Maria for -4 pts? And who to change for? Eriksen?
