Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 19
All 10 fixtures in one day is the way we like it. With such a quick turnaround, there is no time to mope around and contemplate destroying your team because a Frenchman decided to stick his head somewhere other than between a woman’s legs. It was a high scoring game-week for many and the FF247 site team was not about to be left out in the cold. So let’s get around the grounds and see what our starting 11 produced. In goal we had trusty Joe Hart. His hands are the best around, we particularly like it when he goes out to punch a ball, sooooo secure in the air. :whatever:
Transitioning over to our defence we put the microscope on our SUPER HIGH priced jewel Leighton Baines. Frankly the only thing we can say about our relationship with him is that we are keeping him because we think he is a good luck charm. I know it sounds a bit crazy, but we still own him so any justification for said ownership would probably sound crazier. So yeah, he is our lucky rabbit’s foot. If you have been keeping up with our site articles you will know that we said that Toby Alderweireld would score a goal. We never specified when, but we feel this is a good time to remind you all that we said it. However don’t go kneeling before us, remember we still own Baines. Our last place in defence was taken up by Taylor or Naylor(for the hip crowd) from Swansea. He was able to garner a bonus point to go along with his clean sheet. In a week with very few clean sheets, this was a welcomed inclusion to our game-week.
Moving along to our midfield. Stewart Downing failed to deliver a goal or an assist for the first time since we have owned him. To be fair to him though he was facing the vaunted Chelsea side. So he is forgiven, in part because the rest of his midfield mates picked up the slack. The Viking Eriksen scored the winner for Spurs, but more importantly scored 8 points for our side. His 61 points when playing away are tops in FPL. Our new signing David Silva was under a lot of pressure to deliver. As our transfer out of Hazard for him looked to backfire after the Belgian was able to deliver an assist in the opening fixture. However the Spanish maestro quickly turned our frown around as he not only matched the assist, but added a goal and the 3 bonus to give him 8 more points on the game-week than our departee. The last of our current fantastic four in the midfield is the dirty one, Alexis Sanchez. Who by the way was our captain. Let us just say after some of the scoring we saw during the first 9 fixtures it was a scary site to see Alexis miss a penalty. However we knew…ahhh who the hell are we kidding, we were petrified. This meant a certain plummeting down the standings if he did not deliver. He soon shook off his 5 year old type shot on his penalty and was able to deliver a goal and an assist. After the negative and positive points he was able to hand us a double figure game and when multiplied it gave us 20. Another successful captaincy if we do say so ourselves.
Bony was able to double his output from the last time we fielded him. Unfortunately he only scored 1 point last time. So once again he disappointed us, but the same can’t be said of the Charlie “Milkman” Austin. The man just continues to deliver and his impressive 10 goals in his last 9 starts coupled with his price makes him a very popular figure in the FF247 offices. Speaking of popular I bring you Diego Costa and by popular I mean most owned in his case. He might not be a crowd favourite, but his first double figure game since week 4 will alleviate some of the stench that has been circulating around him and his production. On a side note the ever well behaved Costa managed to not get a yellow card this time, call it a belated Christmas miracle.
We scored 85 points for the week. We moved up 355 places and now sit in a global position of 643rd. This is our highest ranking of the season and hopefully we can continue to climb higher.
Transfer(s) for GW18 So to confirm our transfer we have – Sold Kyle Bartley for Pablo Zabaleta We know that the transfer could have some possible rotation in his team, but we could not pass up the chance to have Zabaleta feature against Burnley for us and with the rest he’s just had, hopefully against Sunderland also on New Year’s day. We think he is worth the transfer and hope he goes forward a lot more than our dear friend Baines has been lately.
Our team in full… Captain Our captain this week is Charlie Austin He has earned this opportunity with his home displays and considering he gave us a hat trick of happiness last time we captained him, we felt he was the man for the job again. Please no head-butts Charlie. Our Vice Captain this week is David Silva.
The team in text format is –
Hart
Zabaleta, Hutton, Baines
Sanchez, Silva, Eriksen, Downing
Austin (c), Costa, Bony
Bench: Krul. Taylor, Alderweireld, Boyd.

What do you reckon? Any changes or save the transfer? Thanks in advance.
I would save the FT…………..other option is to ship bony out
Yeah that’s the tricky one as most people seem to be split about keeping him or bringing in Benteke! I just can’t decide.
Should I trade out Sterling ? If yes which one out of these 2
Sanchez ( Next 5 : West Ham, Southampton, Stoke, Man City, Aston Villa )
or
Silva ( Next 5: Burnley, Sunderland, Everton, Arsenal, Chelsea )
Don’t know the rest of your team. But pulling out Sterling whom is used as a striker seems like a sideways move. Plus he has 2 freaking home fixtures. When will you freaking ”kids” learn to post the entire team before asking such silly questions.
Sorry im new to this site
keep sterling and go for giroud to austin…………..BTW don take raziel srsly
Aaah yes, sorry. YOu can take my advise seriously. However, not the banter. I’m just kidding around. You don’t have to say sorry, as Kaumil. Only person that has to say sorry to me is ”Kaumil”.
sorrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy the “AAPMINNAAR”
Okay, that’s just disgusting Kaumil. Take that back.
Ik neem mijn woorden terug……………gelukkig?
LOL. Was just messing. Though I do think most people here would appreciate it if you limit your “Dutch”, as far as I know there is only one other person here that speaks it. So nobody will understand.
Anyway, got to go. Take care Innit, Burnsey, Kaumil & co. Ciao
Raz wherever you’re off to… I’d look over your shoulder 😉
How many ft’s? I would suggest Giroud to Benteke. Stay away from Sterling, he’s not your main issue. Loads of players could be rested tomorrow, you don’t know how this plans out. As it stands now you have no bench. Yun is out, Giroud is out and Albrighton rarely plays (and when he does it’s like 10 freaking minutes). Best way to damage control is to do something with those players. I personally like the Giroud to Benteke move (whom like Liverpool/Sterling has 2 home fixtures next).
Keep Sterling, and look to get someone in for Giroud. Sterling has favourable fixtures and in an advanced role he is getting alot of chances.
Possible Giroud replacements are Carroll, Benteke, Pelle. I’d go with Benteke, seeing as Giroud is out for 3 games and Villas next three are solid.
Team looks great, good luck this week!
hello , here is my team ,, any suggestions ? (no free transfer)
Does Bruce play for Hull? If so I’d start him over Taylor
yes he is playing for hull ,,, thanks mate 😉
He’s started the last 3 and on the basis that they won he’ll start tomorrow. Yes I’d agree start him and I think you are good to go.
This is my current team, is city coverage a must given their next few games?
i think u need silva & mangala or zabaleta in place of albrighton and baines
That’s wishful thinking with the budgets involved. Bony to Kane and Chadli to Silva would probably work but then Spurs have Utd and Chelsea next… Maybe just Baines to Zab? I’d prefer to shoehorn Silva in there though I think.
I just sold Kane, but he’s in great form, and so I’d stillrecommend those 2 moves in order to get Silva in there are init says.
baines to mangala/zab
Hi all, hope GW18 didn’t dampen your Christmas break..I have a feeling GW19 could cause me some pretty big problems…
With the team attached, what would you do?
Thinking Baines and Bony out for Hutton and Rooney for a -4. Thoughts? Is that too risky for a hit?
Anything better?
