Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 32
Well we sure know how to kill momentum in a hurry. A slow methodical climb back inside the top 2k was followed by a swift kick in the gut and a drop back outside of it. We now reside in 2810th place after a drop of 1070 spots and are looking shakier than Pelligrini’s job. Fortunately we are highly qualified in the art of denial so we feel our job is safe. Now let’s give a quick rundown of how our team fell apart worse than City’s title hopes.
In Pulis we trust! Right until he allowed known wimpy road pushovers stick 4 in the back of the net. Splendid that Myhill transfer has turned out to be so far. Luckily though, we had Terry and surely a Stamford Bridge clean sheet was on the cards. We mean, the only chance Stoke had of scoring was if the goalkeeper was caught way out of position and a Stoke player shot it from 65 yards or something…Thanks a lot Thibaut! In other defensive business, we had Clyne and the Saints take on Everton. One quick glance at the Everton front line and a barrel of laughs later, surely we would get an easy clean sheet out of this? Never mind! Moving along to our last defender PvA, Thank You! Good to see someone showed up.
In our talented midfield, mostly because we have no English born players, it was a disappointing display. Only one who bothered to produce was the one and only Eden Hazard. 13 points for our Belgium standout. Hazard has now produced 17 bonus points out of a possible 24 in his last 8 games. We do love Eden, oh yes we do. Ok, we are waffling on about him, but frankly the other 3 are barely worth mentioning. Silva, Cazorla and Eriksen managed 8 points between them and some of these fellas are screaming to be transferred out. Don’t tempt us, because we are certainly looking for someone to blame besides ourselves.
Up front we played our dynamic duo and some guy named Austin. It was a long heated debate about who to captain. There were chairs tossed and things said that can’t be repeated on here. Who to go for Kane or Kun? It got ugly, but in the end we ended with English super hero Harry Kane. As we watched the nightmare 2 pointer from Kane come in, the Aguero contingent stormed out of the room and was overheard saying, “We should have went with the Argentinian”. As we watched the nightmare 2 pointer come in from Kun, the Kane contingent stormed out the room and remarked “We should have captained who?” in a mocking fashion. Then one brave soul in the back of the room, oddly enough known as the Chicken responded “We should have went for Austin” That was the last time anyone has seen or heard from that chicken. Ok then now let us get to our decision on the upcoming week before someone incriminates themselves.
Transfer(s) for GW32 –
We thought long and hard (ish) about whether we needed to make a transfer or not. We contemplated selling Austin for a cheap short-term replacement but after some deliberation we have decided to give the Rangers hero a stay of execution – mainly out of sympathy that we didn’t captain him last week. And to appease the chicken. So we can confirm we have held our transfer and will have two for next week.
Our team in full…
We had one tough decision to make this week and that was whether to play Puncheon away to Sunderland or Austin home to Chelsea. Aagin, the debate was lively and violent and came down to a casting vote from the chicken. So yes, you’ve guessed it, Austin plays! He loves Austin. Sorry Jason, please don’t hurt us too much. We’re obviously hoping that double Saints defence at home to Hull stabilises our defence somewhat while we’re not sure who will win the Terry vs Austin battle, but at least we have most bases covered!
Captain
Our captain this week is Harry Kane
There were some call for Hazard to be given the armband and frankly they were strong claims having watched QPR defend at Villa. However, we decided to go with Kane again – surely he is due after last week’s blank at Burnley. Villa’s defending was almost as bad as QPR’s so we’re expecting goals at the Lane at the weekend and we all know that if Spurs score, then K….noooo let’s not jinx it!
Our vice-captain is Eden Hazard
The team in text format is –
Myhill
Terry, Clyne, Alderweireld
Silva, Hazard (v), Eriksen, Cazorla
Kane (c), Aguero, Austin
Subs: Ospina. Puncheon, van Aanholt, Baird.

Evening all. Trying my best to keep up with news whilst on my jollies but still feel like I’m a little out of the loop and that’s quite worrying with a deadline looming and this BGW / DGW twist with Liverpool has clearly muddied the waters! Had a quick look earlier and the best I can decide so far is that Hazard needs to come in but beyond that I came up with about 16 different scenarios and none were particularly ideal! Anyone care to have a gander and give me their thoughts as to how to proceed this week please with a view to next week at the very least? Thanks
Hey innit u defo need hazard in. And could plan caz and felliani around liverpool coverage.
Thanks shane. For who though?! I want them all!
Must be for Cazorla BGW wise. As it stands you have 4 blankers so it is sensible to roll the Other FT to next week.
Yeh that’s a tough 1. ha
inittowinit – You’ve got a great lineup there, all it’s missing is Eden. I have an inkling that Fro-meister will get his noggin onto something and bag one against City, which leaves Cazorla for the chop. For me, Eriksen stays v Villa, and Silva stays v anyone. Yep, Cazorla -> Hazard looks your best bet.
Nice team that. Bit similar to mine.
I got 1 ft and 1.1 in the bank.
Do I use ft on Austin to either remy/gomis/murrary. Or save transfer and plan for doubles coming up.
Help please
Shane if it’s any help we considered both Gomis and Murray. The conclusion was that Murray had the better run of fixtures of the two. The ultimate conclusion was to go neither and save the transfer ahead of the blanks and doubles.
shanec – It’s a tough one. Fully understand keeping the FT, but i can see the sense in selling Austin for Murray. It may come down to how your mini leagues or cash tourneys are going. If chasing, i’d without doubt buy Murray for this three game spell. If holding, maybe bank the FT and let others take the punts.
cheers nin. Might transfer Austin to murrary. Then save my 2 ft for the doubles coming up.
It’s a FT that has great short term potential. Only for i had to make a defensive change this week, i more than likely would have bought Murray too. Still might, but i’d rather not take any hits this late in the season.
Hey Guys I really need some serious help for GM32,
My team
Pan,krul
Terry, Naughton, Ald, Clark, Bruce
Carz, Harz, Silva, Sigy, Philips
Giruod, Costa, Kane
I have only 0.2 in Bank.
Cheers
Maybe Rooney in – Costa Out?
Pantilimon
Terry – Ald – ??
Cazorla – Hazard – Silva – Siggy
Giroud – Kane – Rooney
Maybe you can take out Naughton and take in Dawson who has a good fixture this GW and the next one… but im not really sure that he’s gonna be in the starting 11… maybe some one can help me with this doubt.
Hey Thank you so much Interman. Dawson’s starting is a major doubt for me as well.
TVG – Yeah i would let Costa go. Of the premium priced forwards, you’re looking at Sturridge or Rooney. Probably Rooney of those two as United have no blank week ahead. I really like Murray for the next few weeks, but that’s it, literally a few weeks then fixtures get rough.
Much appreciate for your help NIN. But don’t you think Rooney’s fixture is bit rough and also Sturridge has a blank GW33.
TVG – Re Rooney, i wouldn’t be worried about the City game at all. The Derby generally has plenty of goals, and Rooney loves scoring against City. The Chelsea game is one that i wouldn’t expect much from but aside from that, i like United’s fixtures.
Yeah, i just mentioned Sturridge as the other premium value option but the blank takes away from that move for sure.
+1. Rooney’s record in the derby is excellent
Cheers mate. Rooney it is. (Y)
tough 1 this weekend, im 10 points off the 1st spot, decisions
hmmmmmmm
