Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 32

Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 32Well we sure know how to kill momentum in a hurry. A slow methodical climb back inside the top 2k was followed by a swift kick in the gut and a drop back outside of it. We now reside in 2810th place after a drop of 1070 spots and are looking shakier than Pelligrini’s job. Fortunately we are highly qualified in the art of denial so we feel our job is safe. Now let’s give a quick rundown of how our team fell apart worse than City’s title hopes.

In Pulis we trust! Right until he allowed known wimpy road pushovers stick 4 in the back of the net. Splendid that Myhill transfer has turned out to be so far. Luckily though, we had Terry and surely a Stamford Bridge clean sheet was on the cards. We mean, the only chance Stoke had of scoring was if the goalkeeper was caught way out of position and a Stoke player shot it from 65 yards or something…Thanks a lot Thibaut! In other defensive business, we had Clyne and the Saints take on Everton. One quick glance at the Everton front line and a barrel of laughs later, surely we would get an easy clean sheet out of this? Never mind! Moving along to our last defender PvA, Thank You! Good to see someone showed up.

In our talented midfield, mostly because we have no English born players, it was a disappointing display. Only one who bothered to produce was the one and only Eden Hazard. 13 points for our Belgium standout. Hazard has now produced 17 bonus points out of a possible 24 in his last 8 games. We do love Eden, oh yes we do. Ok, we are waffling on about him, but frankly the other 3 are barely worth mentioning. Silva, Cazorla and Eriksen managed 8 points between them and some of these fellas are screaming to be transferred out. Don’t tempt us, because we are certainly looking for someone to blame besides ourselves.

Up front we played our dynamic duo and some guy named Austin. It was a long heated debate about who to captain. There were chairs tossed and things said that can’t be repeated on here. Who to go for Kane or Kun? It got ugly, but in the end we ended with English super hero Harry Kane. As we watched the nightmare 2 pointer from Kane come in, the Aguero contingent stormed out of the room and was overheard saying, “We should have went with the Argentinian”. As we watched the nightmare 2 pointer come in from Kun, the Kane contingent stormed out the room and remarked “We should have captained who?” in a mocking fashion. Then one brave soul in the back of the room, oddly enough known as the Chicken responded “We should have went for Austin” That was the last time anyone has seen or heard from that chicken. Ok then now let us get to our decision on the upcoming week before someone incriminates themselves.

Transfer(s) for GW32 –
We thought long and hard (ish) about whether we needed to make a transfer or not. We contemplated selling Austin for a cheap short-term replacement but after some deliberation we have decided to give the Rangers hero a stay of execution – mainly out of sympathy that we didn’t captain him last week. And to appease the chicken. So we can confirm we have held our transfer and will have two for next week.

Our team in full…

We had one tough decision to make this week and that was whether to play Puncheon away to Sunderland or Austin home to Chelsea. Aagin, the debate was lively and violent and came down to a casting vote from the chicken. So yes, you’ve guessed it, Austin plays! He loves Austin. Sorry Jason, please don’t hurt us too much. We’re obviously hoping that double Saints defence at home to Hull stabilises our defence somewhat while we’re not sure who will win the Terry vs Austin battle, but at least we have most bases covered!

Captain

Our captain this week is Harry Kane
There were some call for Hazard to be given the armband and frankly they were strong claims having watched QPR defend at Villa. However, we decided to go with Kane again – surely he is due after last week’s blank at Burnley. Villa’s defending was almost as bad as QPR’s so we’re expecting goals at the Lane at the weekend and we all know that if Spurs score, then K….noooo let’s not jinx it!

Our vice-captain is Eden Hazard

The team in text format is –

Myhill
Terry, Clyne, Alderweireld
Silva, Hazard (v), Eriksen, Cazorla
Kane (c), Aguero, Austin

Subs: Ospina. Puncheon, van Aanholt, Baird.

Subs –

    Hey guys
Any tips? was thinking about taking out Downing for Eriksen or saving the transfer… what do you guys think?

-maybe even taking out milner cuz he’s never in the starting 11..-

Interman – I assume this lineup is still the one from last GW as it’s Austin (c)? Change that for a start, in my opinion. Kane/Hazard for (c), for me. I’d start Kelly and Dawson ahead of O’Shea and Taylor myself. Could easily keep you FT this week. Stoke (h) is a good game for WHU, even though they’re playing shite these days. Hart -> Davis looks like it could be a good move for you, though. City defence is really bad these days and he’s quite expensive for the low returns he brings in most weeks. Come to think of it, Hart -> Davis is what i would do actually.

Nice light hearted article, my team is almost identical apart from Ivanovic for Terry and Sanchez for Eriksen, I’m thinking this should be a good week for us.

Not playing Austin though, have Dawson instead of Baird so will double up (twice) and hope the defence is the major points scorer this week.

Good morning all! Did well last week with 95 points.
    Have 1FT and £1.0 Bank
Will I change someone or keep FT?
    Playing 4-4-2, risky?
    Thanks

Respect1987 – Personally, i’d start Austin ahead of Bellerin. I can understand the decision either way, but i find it hard to bench strikers for defenders. Really hard. The rest of your team looks fine to me.

Morning all, awful score last weekend meant that I’ve put off looking at my team all week!
1FT and 0,4m in the bank.
First impressions are that I can cope this week, saving a transfer for next week when I have a fair few out. I would then use my transfers next week to bench Giroud and Bellerin and oust McShane and JWP. Thoughts?
Also…Bellerin benched doesn’t sit well with me (especially after benching him along with McShane last week!). Who should I play him over?

Hey AT i think youre right, save your FT youre time looks fins for this GW and its nice to have 2 FT for the blank gw smile

      NIN says:

Hi AT. Yep, 100% save that FT this week. No Austin actually removes a decision this week, although i’d say it hurt last week. Not to worry, there’s a ton of points up for grabs. The only change i would make would be the (vc) moved to Hazard, but it shouldn’t matter as Kane will play. You never know though, maybe he’ll come down with flu or a dose of the trots on the day of the game! laugh

Really strong team this week, FF247. Interesting call in the Austin v Puncheon battle. I was contemplating taking a hit for Austin -> Murray, but not convinced it’s the right move. Could be great, could be pointless. Anyway, good luck this week. That top 1k ain’t far away, so lets be havin’ ya!

    hi all, my team is-
    Davies (hamer)
    terry-rose-mertesacker (haidara-hutton)
    hazard-eriksson-downing-cazorla (boyd)
    Kun-Kane-austin
1 FT with 3.9 minl ITB
PLease suggest me wether to hold the FT or to use it. Any weak links in my team and suggested move. Thank you.

      NIN says:

Hi lampard9211. There’s feck all wrong with this team, for me. Keeping the FT has it’s benefits, as does selling Austin. As i said to shanec in post 4 on this page, if you’re chasing in a mini league then Austin out for Murray really could be a huge shot in the arm. If comfortable, then sitting tight is a more than acceptable play.
