Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 33

Fantasy football tips FPL EPLAfter a slip in the standings last week, we were able to straighten up a bit and managed our 4th green arrow in the last 5 gameweeks. Our score of 54 helped us climb 259 spots into 2551 in the overall. It wasn’t a major gain, but we will take it. So before we go into our plans for the dreaded blank-ish GW33, let us run through the week that was.

In Pulis we trust!? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. After another shocking defensive performance from the Baggies and 7 point keeper Ospina on our bench, there is plenty of disappointment to go around. Luckily though our Saints defenders got a clean sheet. Alderweireld raked in 9 points and Clyne got benched. FFS!! Oh well, at least old favourite PvA came in with the auto sub and gave us a scrappy 3 points. Terry was the last of our 3 man backline and he did not disappoint by grabbing a clean sheet and 2 bonus points.

Our midfield had a poor showing. Hazard, as has become custom, got us something but the rest left a lot to be desired. Silva looked set for a big game in the derby, but quickly decided to morph into Yaya Toure and was rendered useless after the early assist. Cazorla and Eriksen have become twins just about, both have barely been averaging over 3 points in their last six games. You know it is bad when we all wish we had Fellaini and Young over the same time frame.

Up front we kept our same front 3 from the previous week. Once again, has-been Harry Kane fooled us into captaining him. Fool me once shame on me, fool me, well you get the point. At least our mighty Argentinian managed to score a brace to bookend the four goals United scored on his team. In our last spot we had Charlie Austin, should have been Glenn Murray but a certain manager for our site team protested loudly to the buying of the old chap. We can only think of one word to describe this one member of the site team: fool.

Transfer(s) for GW33 – Sold Cazorla, bought Fabregas and saved our other free transfer for next week.

The reasoning here is two fold. Firstly we needed to build up our playing numbers for this week and secondly plan for DGW34. Fabregas has shown a glimpse of a return to his form of the first half of the season by recording a goal and two assists in his last three matches. This weekend’s encounter vs Man Utd promises to be a tight affair but on their day Chelsea are more than capable of turning it on against anyone and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Cesc continue his good run. The Blues then of course have their two fixtures in DGW34 followed by a London derby vs Palace in GW35.
The purchase of Fabregas of course gives us our full compliment of Chelsea players for the DGW so we would envisage us buying some Liverpool players for the double gameweek next week.

Our team in full…

Fantasy football tips FPL EPL

As you can see, the team very much picked itself this week with Ospina, Austin and PVA without a game and Baird….well, probably without a game!

Captain

Our captain this week is Sergio Aguero
A unanimous decision, which made the selection meeting frankly, very dull. But having seen Kun return to scoring form in the derby defeat last week, we decided that a home fixture vs West Ham was too good to ignore.

Our vice-captain is Harry Kane

The team in text format is –

Myhill
Terry, Clyne, Alderweireld
Puncheon, Silva, Hazard, Eriksen, Fabregas
Kane (v), Aguero (c)

Subs: Ospina. Baird, van Aanholt, Austin

Brave of the F247 team to fill up the chelsea contingent early. Obviously No plans for Remy fitness news. Which leads me nicely into…….

Which dgw players do you think are the best group out of these? I will have Terry, Moreno, hazard & sterling plus either

    1) remy, Vardy & Henderson/coutinho

    2) Vardy, sturridge & fabs

    3) remy & sturridge

Obviously there are fitness doubts regarding Remy and sturridge.

    Cheers

Righty-Hoot boys + girls, whats your thoughts on this blundering lot ? Have 1ft + 3.1mill itb, thinking of keeping it so as to have 2 next week.

    • 8.1

Elle, roll as it is pal. Teams looking good (unless you want to sort keepers out but that seems a waste with dgw on way) smile you well mate

      • Cheers NZ, yeah i agree the keepers are a bit naff, but i went the match on Monday night and Krul actually looked ok, made about 4 good saves i think, so he will do for me. Yip all fine here, life back to normal now. Getting a new car on Saturday, can’t wait. All ok down in the Antipodes ?

        • Oh a new car ay, what ya going for? All well here thanks. On school hols so enjoying the last day of relaxing before back to teaching next week sad see my post below pal but what are your expert thoughts on the best 3 pool players for the dgw?

        • NZ, don’t know what car yet, not going out till Friday night to see what i can rob. :big-lol:

Seriously, i’m getting a Vauxhall Insignia 2.0l cdti VX line.
Now i think the best 3 Pool players for next week is a toughie, Sterling, Coutinho, Hendo from the mids, Mignolet, Skrtel, Moreno from the defence, its your choice, Sturridge is carrying an injury and at the moment is a doubt for Sunday. I think you may have to have a look at the stats for all of them playing away, games are more open for us away from home with the fast counters. I’ll let you know next week who i’m going for, after the semi.

        • Hahaha bloody scousers! Nice car mate, work or personal? That would be great Elle, would appreciate your thoughts after the game on the best bets. Do you still have your wc?

        • hammers says:

Hey Elle are you going to the game on Sunday?

        • No mate, only go the league games now, can’t afford it. I keep my season ticket going though, its 40 years old next season.

        • hammers says:

40 years!!!! Blimey! I put my name on the waiting list 10 years ago & guess what….

          …….still waiting

        • NZ, no, the wc went many moons ago. Cars personal.
Hammers, did you get a letter from Liverpool about the waiting list ? They sent letters to the 1st third on the list, 25,000 letters. I presume you are one of them ? I think it cost a fiver and you can check where you are on the list. Now you see why i won’t give mine up, i wrote a letter to them in the summer of ’76, they wrote back and said send £11-70, you can have one, easy in them days. laugh

        • hammers says:

Nope didn’t get one and neither has my mate who did it at he same time so I must be way down. We were thinking that we might get one when the new stadium opens but based on that maybe not.

Don’t blame you for not giving it up. I know a few people who get “their” season ticket from someone that has had one for 30+ years, now can’t afford it but has kept it going to pass it it on.

        • Hammers, If you go online, i think it says ‘waiting list closed’. Don’t forget season tickets are ‘non transferable’ so the original owners name will be on it, in other words, don’t phone the club to change the name details, they’ll take it a away, as people now have to pay to be on the waiting list, change adress, credit card details no problem.

        • hammers says:

Yeah the “real owners” name is on the ones they have so if they ever got stopped and asked for id proof they’d be screwd

Ok boys thoughts on my team for this week please? I’m thinking of doing Sanchez to bolasi as a one week punt (wc in 34)?

On the wc not thoughts on the following players. I’m looking at 3 pool, Chelsea and, even Leicester! At present its:
    Terry, Fab, Haz
    Skrtel, Sterling, Hendo
    Schmicheal, Schlupp, Vardy

    Any others you’d run with?

    Cheers

Hi all, thoughts on my team for the weekend?
    2FT and 0,4m ITB.
Initial thoughts are JWP and Rose out for Bolasie and a <4,7m defender.
Which defender would you bring in? Thought about Schlupp but can't see the profits in bringing in a Leicester defender..

    Evening all,

I’m off out tomorrow night but I don’t think I’m doing anything with this team this week anyway.

Unless you guys see something I can’t. All help appreciated.

With 2FT next week I am considering a -8 and do Skrtel for Hutton, Fabregas for Eriksen, Sterling/Coutinho for Mata and Vardy for Remy.

    Thanks.
