Fantasy Football FF247 Team Gameweek 36

fantasy football tips hints fpl epl team striker Continuing our downward trend, probably as further punishment for having invested in Liverpool the previous GW… we managed to drop 1741 spots and landed in 4623th place. You sorta know is not going to be your week when you have a 17 point keeper sitting on the bench. We hate to do this, but let’s quickly go over how our team performed or didn’t perform in GW35 before we discuss our transfer plans for the upcoming week.

Damn you Ospina! You just can’t trust a Colombian to deliver…well at least not in this realm of work. If leaving our huge score (Myhill) on the bench wasn’t enough, we had a poor showing from our back line to compound things. Clyne only brought in one point and PvA who came in off the bench for Moreno (boooo) only amassed two points. Our last defender John Terry was able to put up a respectable showing, but far from spectacular. Please let us move on to our wonderful midfield.

*$%#*# is about what we have to say about our double Liverpool mids. Hendo and Sterling have been a big disappointment since they were acquired. In fact we can see the plane flying over our team headquarters asking for the sacking of the two. Cesc hasn’t exactly gave us the kind of returns we hoped for since he re-entered our side. It seems the only one we can consistently count on is Hazard. Although he did scare us a bit there when he missed the penalty.

Leading our line we the had washed up Harry Kane who scored a yellow and nothing else. He was complimented beautifully by Giroud who was ignored by his Arsenal mates, as they looked to keep the play away from both Hull and Olivier in equal respect. In our last spot we had the always dependable Sergio Aguero who has now scored in 4 straight. Now please let us move along to GW36 and our plans, as 35 makes us noxious…

Transfer(s) for GW36 – Sold Clyne and Fabregas. Bought McShane and Sanchez
We could have made 9 different transfer combinations this week in all honesty as that’s how many were proposed initially and probably sums up the dilemma that most managers have this week. The Arsenal / Sunderland DGW ahead confuses matters somewhat for this week as we feel that any transfer not involving a DGW player may be a waste.

The weekly team meeting itself was an odd one as we had one board member cry off due to an imminent birth (welcome to the world Theodore, AKA Ed, Ted or even Teddy P), one cry off with a suspected coronary (seriously), and one just brazenly leave to watch cricket in the rain and get drunk! #Irish 😉

The initial plan was to get Benteke and leave Sanchez until next week but it was thwarted by a small price rise so instead we went straight to Plan B and brought Sanchez in for Fabregas. In order to do so we needed funds and so Clyne was the sacrificial lamb. We opted for a cheap and cheerful McShane at home against Burnley who haven’t scored for years. Knowing our recent luck they surely will but in theory a clean sheet covers our hit and sees us into Monday night happy to welcome Sanchez into our team with a goal or two against Swansea at home.

On current form, I’d try to get the Leicester boys involved. Southampton are not the defensive force they used to be!

      • AT says:

        Cheers Swiss,
I wasn’t sure whether to dicth Bertrand for Albrighton/Schlupp or leave him.
With Leicester at home I’m leaning towards Schlupp as Southampton aren’t great at scoring away. Thoughts?

        • SwissChocks says:

That’s what I’d do. Soton might score but Schlupp is pretty good at getting forward. Albrighton is also man of moment!

        • AT says:

hmm..I may do just that. It’s tough to go against Southampton’s number of clean sheets but 6 conceded in 3..

I have a dirty feeling that Aguero might be rested this gw. Am just thinking of good reasons as to why he might not. Is there a huge difference in what 2nd place and 3rd place are awarded in BPL?

      AT says:

WIth nothing else to play for like the Champions League, there is no reason for him to be rested. Mourinho is contemplating playing Costa and they’ve already won the league.
Money and pride of finishing second – doesn’t send a good message if Aguero is benched.
      For me he plays.

    RMT!
2FT and 0.6 in the bank.
What transfers should I go for?
I’m thinking sterling to 6m mid(maybe 1 sunderland midfielder) and kane to giroud. Is the transfer worth it? Any other suggestions?
