Fantasy Football Inside The Mind Of An FPL Player Gameweek 11

We are nothing if not honest here at FF247 towers; we’ve all become a bit bored writing the same articles each week! Fixtures has already been scaled back to a monthly affair, as that’s about right for that one, or else it becomes too repetitive. Tips is becoming repetitive too as not a great deal is changing week to week right now. Salah has almost single-handedly rendered the Capos article redundant.

Some or all of the above staple articles will continue to feature along the way but in order to keep things fresh, for both writers and readers alike, we are creating a few new features and this is the first of them.

As ever it would be great to get your feedback in the comments below, this will help us to deliver content that will hopefully be beneficial to the planning of your own FPL team.

So, what is this one all about? Well, in essence, each week a selection of our contributors will bring to you their FPL team for the game-week ahead. They’ll start by giving a quick recap on the previous game-week, what went well, and of course what went not so well! Then look forward to the game-week ahead and outline what their initial thoughts are with regards to their starting 11, captaincy, and of course prospective or confirmed transfers.

It should be noted that the teams shown may not always end up being the final teams, players get injured, plans change. What it will give you, is an insight into a variety of different playing and transfer styles (some go early, some go late). When possible, we will post in the comments if plans significantly change.

Season so far…
This season I’m trying a different approach to my transfers. In my previous seasons, I’ve strongly advocated early transfers (in the first half of the season) to help build strong team value. However, I rarely have a good start and most of my gains have come post-Christmas when I tend to ignore price rises and falls. So, this season I’m all but ignoring price rises. My transfers will be made as late as possible in the game week so that I have as much information as possible and hopefully avoid any last-minute injuries or illnesses.

Gw10 Review

The good:
My transfer plan this week was Ben White to Ben Chilwell. It was literally all about The Benjamin’s as two price rises meant that come Saturday morning, I was £0.2m short. Bugger. (So much for the plan above!)

With minutes to spare, I reached out to our resident Chelsea Fan Smash – “Should I transfer Reece James to Ben Chilwell mate?” He said no, I rolled my transfer. Off to St James Park I went only to witness live and in person as Reece James scored twice and picked up a sensational 21pts. I’ll name my first-born Smash James. Having benched Emile Smith-Rowe in Gw9, this week I didn’t make the same mistake. His 9pts (along with James’ 21) were very welcome in an otherwise low-scoring Saturday.

The bad:
Ramsdale’s 10pts on my bench, Foster’s 2pts in my 11. It’ll be set and forget from here on in.

The ugly:
Pretty much the rest of my squad; 2’s and 1’s as far as the eye could see on Saturday. However, Raphinha came up trumps with 9pts on Sunday, and an otherwise good game week score and a green arrow means I ain’t complaining.

GW11 Preview
My lineup looks strong this week. At present, I’m starting Cancelo (benching him feels wrong) but perhaps White or Livramento are better picks this week given Manchester United’s GW10 performance. That’s one I’ll ponder over the next few days. Salah has my armband and to be honest I think he’ll keep it for the foreseeable, which is a little dull, but I don’t fancy going up against the masses this week. Vardy takes the Vice, although he’s on thin ice at present and I’m not totally ruling out moving him on.

Transfer plans
This week feels like a tricky week, with a good team (on paper) and two free transfers.

Doucoure (who is out till at least GW12) isn’t a major issue as such but he’s not doing me a whole lot of good, he’s wasted budget and with Man City in GW12 and Liverpool in GW13 he’s not a player I actually want. I’ve also lost £0.2m on him in the last week, which again is not the end of the world, but it’s not great either.

So, who am I looking at buying? My immediate thought is to stick to my original plan and get Ben Chilwell in for Ben White. If I do so I’ll need to raise the money I’m short which would likely come from downgrading Doucoure (£5.5m) to someone like Brownhill (£4.4m). However, White has a good fixture this week (Watford at home) so it doesn’t feel as pressing.

I had originally earmarked GW12 as a good entry point for Spurs players (Kane or more likely Son). However, their recent performances have been far from convincing. However, with a new manager can we expect the standard ‘new manager bounce’? If I do decide that I still want to bring in Son, then Doucoure along with Vardy would be the players to make way, but not until GW12. If I do go down this route, then my options are to either burn a transfer (shudder) or take a one-week punt on someone for Doucoure. However, given my current line-up, I don’t think there is anyone I’d want to replace in the starting 11. Decisions, decisions.

Another potential plan is to play premium ‘Hokey kokey’. I could for example downgrade Doucoure this week, roll my second transfer. I would then have enough money in GW12 to change Jamie Vardy (Chelsea at home) into Christiano Ronaldo (Watford away). I would then reverse the transfer in GW13 when Vardy plays Watford and Ronaldo plays Chelsea. The advantage of this approach means I will always have a second transfer in my back pocket should I need it, the disadvantage is of course that it could be a waste of transfers and would perhaps neglect other issues that may crop up in my team.

Season so far…
Ultimately this GW was pretty annoying and not too much actually went right. I have made mistakes this season but I am still inside the top 100k so I’m happy with my start. I like my team going forward and I have most of the players other people want. It’s good to be ahead of the curve in this game. The previous two seasons I have had horrible starts and I have been playing catch up for the majority of the season so it feels good to be in the overall position I am in. This season I have spent more in defence which is unusual for me but that’s where I see the value this year. Every season is different.

Gw10 Review

The good:
Captain Salah (sort of) returned but everyone else had him captain too. Chelsea are sitting pretty top of the table and my double CS came through with Chilwell and Rudiger. Raphinha with his 9 points on Sunday helped the mood a bit! I am still in the top 100k!

The bad:
Well where do I start… I transferred out Havertz who returned, for Foden who blanked. Typical FPL that but I knew the dangers of that move. Who would have thought Palace would win at City. I’m happy with this move going forward. If Lukaku wasn’t injured I would have had Foden anyway so that was always the plan. I Asked Horse, DMC and Rosco on whether to do it. Horse and DMC said to stick with Havertz but that did not mean much when they were buying Foden themselves this week and not Havertz (hypocrites lol) and so I went with Rosco. Though let’s face it I was making the move anyway. Benched Livramento points again….. He plays for Southampton HOW is he returning every week. Oh well it’s better to have him.

The ugly:
Well most of my team blanked. I have dropped in all my mini leagues. Sigh… Cancelo, TAA, Toney, Foden and dam Vardy. I never really wanted Vardy but Lukaku got injured. I played Foster over Ramsdale. I looked at it and thought I’m really not sure. Leicester will score and I have Vardy to cheer on. Scrolled Twitter and saw loads of better managers were doing the same thing. Going Rudiger over James on my WC, a last minute decision at the time which continues to haunt me. This is doing my head in…… About 10 points down on most of my mini league now this week, where is my latest craft beer to try…

GW11 Preview
My team looks good on paper this week again. Hopefully I have a good week before the International break and my holiday. I think I have sorted a dog sitter so can finally go abroad. Maybe Jamaica, I need to book somewhere…Somewhere simple because of Covid. Anyway I digress, my team…. Mbeumo should be fit and he plays Norwich so I can’t really bench him. Do I bench Cancelo? Ramsdale is back in and there’s no point ever playing Foster. Watford are poor. Livramento is on the bench again, Southampton are not that good I refuse to believe Livramento is too good to be benched.

Transfer plans
I have one free transfer and still the cash to bring in Lukaku for Vardy. I don’t think Lukaku is fit and Vardy gets another chance playing Leeds. I can’t afford Kane or Ronaldo but not sure I want either for different reasons but maybe I will soon enough. Finding the cash may prove difficult and will need a downgrade somewhere. Team looks good on paper so I should save the transfer this week and have two over the International break which would be sensible. However I do really like the idea of James in for Rudiger and that gives me an attacking defence of TAA, James, Chilwell and Cancelo, we shall see….. I think my bench has enough to cover the rotation.

Watchlist
James: Chelsea wing backs just so attacking they are worth the upside.
ESR: Looking like Arsenal’s best player and only 5.6. Might be a better option than Mbeumo
Cornet: Seems to be scoring every week but I remember he still plays for Burnley every week
Lukaku: Easy escape from Vardy who is not performing again. Waiting for him to become fit again.
Kane: New manager bounce and good fixtures

Season so far…

In the past I have tried to catch price rises and avoid price falls so I did early transfers; I had always thought this did nothing but looking at where I am now compared to previous seasons, I think it helped more than I realised. This season I have been extremely busy with work and life in general so have taken the position, or rather fell into the routine, of ignoring price changes. My transfers and captaincy picks are usually done last minute, and this has come to bite me at least six times already because of missed deadlines or being priced out. I have had a terrible start to the season and so I’ve hit the wildcard button to give myself a fresh start in the hope of clawing back to a much higher rank than I currently sit. Fresh start for me just in time for a new article… hopefully both things are a massive success!

Gw10 Review

The good:
I don’t even know if I have a ‘good’ section more so a mediocre section as I stubbornly kept Havertz one more week because that German goblin owed me after his Norwich no-show! The perma-cap Salah got a return so that was decent but pointless as everyone and their dog has the Egyptian in their squad. I suppose my biggest plus was keeping Raphinia who finally got a return for the first time in weeks and punished those who sold him. Hopefully he will go on a bit of a run now!

That’s about all for the good part of my week but trust me I have loads of bad!

The bad:
Six of my outfield players blanked getting 1’s and 2’s with Foster also getting 2 points. This included all three of my strikers getting a combined total of FIVE points! Bloody hate this game lately!

The ugly:
So we have the bad above but the Ugly for me is the fact I had Livramento and White with 12 points on my bench. Gray was also sitting there but thankfully he only got 2 points. Usually what has happened this season is whenever I play someone they do nothing and blank but as soon as I bench them they go and get a CS or Assist or Goal. Pushing me right to the brink of quitting because why bother but alas I’m a glutton for punishment and keep coming back for more!

GW11 Preview

This is the current lineup right now, but it is subject to change. Antonio will be on the bench and that might look wrong but really, I think we need to play the fixtures a bit too. I’m not saying Antonio won’t score against Liverpool but VVD and co will likely double up on him so it might be a case of the others around Antonio getting the goals much like the Villa game where the striker was assisting the assister.

Transfer plans
I am tinkering like crazy so far this week. These are the joys of a wildcard. I can tell you the players that are nailed and will not move. Starting from the back; Foster, Trent, James, Chilwell, Livramento, Salah, Antonio. Raph and ESR are two I think will remain, but I could be persuaded to swap them if something better pops into my head! With the announcement of Conte returning to the Prem to coach Spurs I am torn between keeping Vardy or getting Son in for ESR or Raph.

With my rank being so low I am looking at some differentials. Maxwel Cornet is one player I’ve had my eye on for the last two games and I think he is one I will take the punt on. Burnley don’t score many goals but when they score it always tends to be the same suspects that are involved. I think this will end up being Cornet and/or Wood nine times out of ten.

Speaking of differentials and similar to the Son transfer with Conte coming in I am going to keep an eye on Spurs wingbacks. This means Reguilón is on my radar and if I can find a way to get him in I might just punt on it. Matt Doherty is another that could find a renewed lease of life under the Italian. His name is Matt, he’s Irish, he has had a poor season but is looking for a fresh start…. Are the stars aligning for myself and Doherty?

Captain for GW11: It will probably be put on Salah just because he’s on fire right now!

Season so far…
Ahead of the season, kicking off it was touch and go as to whether I’d play FPL. However, FOMO lead me to picking a team. My rationale being that I could always kick the team in to touch, but if I chose not to pick a team at the beginning of the season it was unlikely that I’d start mid-season. With no preparation, I managed a somewhat decent start to the season and was just outside the top 60k after GW5. Things have taken something of a dip since!

I really have become something of a casual. I log in about an hour before the deadline, make my transfers and set my team up accordingly. I’ve never really allowed potential price changes to influence my transfer decisions, but these days I don’t even follow who’s going up/down in price.

Gw10 Review

The good:
Not a lot really! At this stage, Salah’s points are irrelevant. For the 2nd consecutive week, I started Livramento and again he returned. Raphina’s goal and two bonus points were welcomed, but you would hope for more against Norwich!

The bad:
Kai Havertz! With Lukaku and Werner injured, Havertz is leading the line for the table toppers. They’ve scored 10 goals in their last two games vs Norwich & Newcastle, and all he has to his name is one bloody assist. After the joy of Old Trafford, Liverpool went and fcked up at home to Brighton and as a result TAA claimed a solitary point. City dropping points was a good thing but it obviously meant Cancelo got nowt. Villa scoring four and Antonio getting nothing was also a kick in the stones!

The ugly:
Jamie Vardy. In fairness, you could easily swap Vardy for Havertz here but at least the German picked up an assist. I bought these two spanners along with Cancelo for a -8 in GW9, selling Ronaldo, Saka & Shaw. I’ve no idea how many points I’m down as a result of this, let’s just say that I’d hoped for more!

GW11 Preview

Transfer plans
It’s only Wednesday, I won’t be worrying about that until Saturday morningFriday night. I may look at bringing Reece James in for Ben White and flogging Havertz to raise the cash.
In terms of my team setup, it looks like I have a decision as to whether I play Benrahma or Maupay.

Season so far…
It has been an entertaining season for me thus far. I normally find myself in the millions in the first GW’s so I tend to look at the season as a comeback challenge and while I see no problem in being there this early in the season, I must say it feels better and refreshing to sit around a more solid top 200k position right now. Things can only go bad now, I guess… Anyway, I digress, it has been an entertaining season mainly because of that man Salah’s hauls. I have captained him in all of his 6 double digit hauls bar two (one of which he was outscored by captain Antonio). Other players like Raphinha, Antonio and that lad Ronaldo have also been ticking along every other week making it pleasant to actually watch the games. I’m happy enough with my team right now which means I can hold the WC a few more weeks. Mini-leagues’ situation is ok, especially my main one with a few old friends which I’m leading comfortably already.

Gw10 Review

The good:
The good: Having started the GW with a Ben White CS on my bench and then a blank to my newly purchase Phil Foden in the 3 pm games I really needed something special from this young lad named Cristiano Ronaldo in the evening game but with an away game at Spurs after a 0-5 Liverpool trumping things looked grim. Fast forward a few hours and there I was celebrating his brilliant shot from just inside the box as if I scored that goal myself. That was the disallowed one so you can imagine the scenes at my house hold when he scored the one that counted. He went on to add an assist and 3 bps to land me 12 much needed points. It’s just typical FPL for you to sell a big name after a bad period of form (individual and collective) only for him to haul out of nowhere so I was really chuffed about that despite it being more due to Lukaku’s injury than to my own patience or resolve. Not apologizing anyway and coming off a brace at Bergamo in midweek I’m not sure I can even think about moving him on right now.

The bad:
I bought Phil Foden …

The ugly:
I bought Phil Foden… for Zaha. I had bought him in GW 6, right after he had blanked at Liverpool, and he immediately rewarded me with 8 pts leaving me thinking that I had landed just in time in a gold mine with favourable fixtures (for his type of game) in the next three only for him to miss GW 7 altogether and then having a cameo appearance in GW 8… It looked like the sensible move to let him go in GW 9 when he’d be away at City who had this shiny new toy in young Phil begging for me to buy him instead of old Wilf. I obliged and FPL typicalness struck again…

GW11 Preview
This next game week has disaster written all over my team as I have 7 players across two games, one involving both Manchester teams and the other being Liverpool away at West Ham. I’ll need a perfect storm to have any decent numbers. And by perfect storm I mean a CS to Ruben Dias with an early sub around the hour mark and a subsequent Ronaldo show with Foden scoring any time and attacking returns from TAA, Salah, Benrahma and Antonio. That’s next week’s “Ugly” section done then.

Elsewhere, I may need to upgrade Josh King as his fixtures look horrendous until at least GW 16 and Ivan Toney looks like the perfect candidate facing a Norwich team that has conceded a league-worst record of 25 goals in 10 games. Newcastle is the only team near that with 23 and guess who Toney faces in GW 12? You got it.

Benrahma could also make way given his recent dump in returns and their hard fixture list ahead. Having Antonio may prove enough as West Ham coverage. However, I’m short in cash so Toney’s financing can’t come from Ben. Another option is to accept that I need James/Chilwell which would have to be for Dias who has a tough game anyway. That still doesn’t allow Toney but I could give Mbeumo a go and chase Norwich or indeed explore ESR’s form or even take an educated punt on Trossard who himself welcomes Newcastle this GW.

Transfer plans
I’ll leave it as late as possible though as we still have European games going on but right now my proposed moves would be:
Dias -» James and Benrahma -» Mbeumo, no hit. Let me know your thoughts in the comment sections. Thanks for reading.

Season so far…
Bloody good this week! I was starting to slow down a bit and so I decided to go all aggressive and play my x2 chip and got a whopping 1,523 points with scores like Buttler 644, Moeen 241, Rashid 120 and Hasaranga 316 being particular highlights. Aw crap… this is meant to be FPL related isn’t it?! Ok… I’ll try my best, but anyone who knows me also knows that once a cricket World Cup starts then my head tends to be in that just about 100% and FPL becomes something I vaguely remember that I have to do for about 6 weeks.

FPL wise… (checks team) it looks like I’d made a decent enough start but that has tailed off in last few weeks. I topped out at about 250k in GW6 and have almost doubled that now, in a bad way. Either way that’s ok for me. I do tend to do notoriously poorly pre-Christmas and have a massive resurgence after it. It’s pretty much the same story season in, season out. I don’t quite know why but this season looks better than most have at this stage. I guess the recent stagnation probably suggests I should be considering a WC but the team looks ok and I’m seeing only 2 or 3 major changes I’d like to make each week which doesn’t fell enough to trigger it. I think I’m simply waiting for a time when half the team are injured to force me to do it but I may take my cricket experience from above and just be more aggresively pro-active.

Gw10 Review

The good:
Buttler was amazing. Sorry… Three clean sheets out of three in defence, for 21 points. I always love that. Part of that involved last week’s transfer which saw Chilwell coming in. It’s always pleasing when a transfer sees some positive points. Nothing worse than being excited about your new boy and then getting a blank from them.

The bad:
I probably should have put the VC on Hasaranga and not Moeen but that’s perhaps being greedy. Sorry! My front line of Toney, Vardy and Antonio got 5 between the pathetic sad lot.

The ugly:
It was a toss up between Mills and Jordan and the latter limped off with just 8 points, that was pretty ugly. Nothing much ugly happened in FPL. Apart from Everton.

GW11 Preview

Transfer plans
With £3.7m ITB my options are plenty and I’ve been eyeing up all of ESR, Mount and Foden as of late so one of those will probably come in this week for Gray. Right now it feels like ESR. That said I also like this new kid at Burnley who seems to think he’s the Queen. Except that their fixtures don’t look too clever for a few weeks so he may just be on the watchlist for now.

Season so far…

I am really enjoying the season so far. I’m averaging around 60 points per game week, and I am loving the ups and downs of it all. Currently I’m sat around 230,000, which is a lot of 0’s but I am sure I will finish in the top 100K (well fingers crossed anyway!). I played my wildcard a little earlier than usual, but it felt right and ultimately I am now happy with my team. I am a Manchester United fan so the less said about that recently the better, I’m currently sat at the top of my work mini league which is of course very important!

Gw10 Review

The good:
I captained Salah which was nice, but then so did everyone else, still, keeping up with the crowd has got to be a good thing right? I had 1 FT going into game week 10 and I considered transferring out Grealish for Foden, which seemed like a logical choice or was I just chasing points? It was then suggested to me to transfer out James for Chilly but neither of these options excited me, so in the end I decided to roll. Of course, keeping James was the right call, cause the fella has honestly saved my game week. I am also going to be picking up the Livramento points from the bench. Happy days. I have no problem with bench points – as it means at least the chaps are playing. Oh, and drumroll, Manchester United won so I had a bottle or two to celebrate that. Hic.

The bad:
Well, I have a front line of Antonio, Toney and Vardy, there are honestly no words to express how little they did this week; 4 for West Ham and nothing for Antonio, who would have thought it? I have also got White and Benrahma points stuck on the bench, but as I said, really don’t mind because at least they are playing (anyone believe me yet?).

The ugly:
I have still got Grealish who appears to be a terrible fantasy asset, but I’ll keep him till after the international break and may dump him then, especially now Son could be a viable replacement (watch this space). I am pretty sure no one was expecting the Liverpool or City results – very strange.

GW11 Preview
My GW11 Team looks fine for this week, but it looked good last week so I can never be truly sure until I get my crystal ball up and running. I am a little envious of Smash going on holiday in November, but I hope he has a lovely time. I am finally playing Livramento this week – you have all been warned!

Transfer plans

I have already made a transfer this week – ESR in for Benrahma, this is ultimately because I want to get some money in the pot so I can get Lukaku when he is feeling better. Of course, now Spurs have got a new manager those plans may change and I might look at Son or Kane, I’ll consider it more after the International break. Usually, I do try to hold transfers until the end of the week but I think ESR is going to go up in price again and I need all the money I can get, which is why on this occasion I have gone early. I have 1FT left should the Champions League break any of my players, but hopefully I won’t need it (because of my previously mentioned awesome bench) and can go into the International break with 2 FT’s.

Season so far…
This season so far has certainly been better, rank wise. Whilst I unfortunately can’t see where I was this time in previous Novembers, I can remember being at 1.8m when it was really bad! The only trouble is, my peers are doing similarly well and so my rank within a few mini leagues is not as great as it could be. Still, early days and it’s nice to so far be in a season that hasn’t been as affected by Covid as the previous two were.

Gw10 Review

The good:
I thought I was on to a winner when Emile Smith Rowe found the back of the net, however that positivity didn’t last long! Sorry, the good… Errr… Chilwell got eight points and Foster’s two points were one more than Sanchez, whom I’d benched, anyway. Oh and Mbeumo not playing a single minute did mean that Livramento came on with his six points. I’m also glad I hadn’t captained Vardy at home to Arsenal like I did two years ago. That time he rewarded me handsomely, this time it certainly wouldn’t have.

The bad:
Bearing in mind there is also an ugly section I’ll save the most vitriol for, the most mediocre of inconveniences were the surprising start – considering he was meant to be recolouring the inside of the toilet bowl – and then clean sheet – ironic in the circumstances – for Ben White. Dias, TAA and Foden were disappointing, whilst my punt on Son in what turned out to be Nuno’s last game very much backfired.

The ugly:
Jamie flippin’ Vardy. That’s ugliness right there, in FPL terms anyway. Another single point score from the guy who, before I brought him in, had been scoring in pretty much every game. This gameweek is Last Chance Saloon – another blank and he’s definitely out. Bringing in Son and Foden was at the expense of Raphinha and Benrahma, who then went on to get a goal and assist respectively. As for the new guys? Four points between them. That great feeling when you take out a player for one who rewards you by scoring less. Indeed, had I not wildcarded, I would have ended up six points better off. Not a great gulf, but there is that wish of instant gratification when you use something that is a big milestone of the season!

GW11 Preview
We go again, as the footballers – or their social media teams – would say. I look at my team and I have that nice feeling that the players all have good fixtures and, if anything, there is a bit of a dilemma on who should play. As it stands, White is starting ahead of Dias – thanks to his home fixture against Watford, compared to Man City being away at United – and Livramento is, begrudgingly, sitting first on the bench. Will Southampton concede against Villa? I hope so and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do, however I also wouldn’t be shocked if the 18-year-old did manage to get amongst the points again. But who else would be sat on the bench if I did want to play him? Antonio is the prime candidate and, as much as he will be playing Liverpool, it’s still Antonio! Therefore, as it stands, White beats Dias and Antonio beats Livramento.

Looking at other players in the team, Sanchez is back between the sticks, as much it wouldn’t be unheard of for Newcastle to find the back of the net. Still, it makes sense to favour the Brighton player, when you consider the fact Foster is away at Arsenal. It’s nice to have a playing £4m goalkeeper anyway. I’m also hoping my punts come to fruition. Mbeumo will hopefully play against Norwich – and Brentford will no doubt want to bounce back from their humbling at Burnley – whilst a repeat of 23 December 2018 when Son scored twice in a 6-2 win over Everton at Goodison Park would be nice. I’d certainly wish for a repeat of that and not what happened a year later at the same location when he got himself sent off.

Transfer plans
As for transfers, one benefit of the wildcard is all the planning you account for, so I’m currently rolling and looking to possible make two next week, depending how the aforementioned Vardy gets on, or whoever else gets injured or suspended!

Watchlist
James: A reshuffle could result in playing four at the back, of which half will be Chelsea!
Hwang: A player I’m keeping an eye on. Not usually keen on forwards at that price, but he’s had a great start to the season and, being budget friendly, could enable transfers elsewhere.
Kane and Lukaku: Just like Smash, I’m keeping an eye on these two, as Vardy would make way – along with one other player elsewhere, potentially.

Captain for GW11: Salah, away at West Ham. I don’t feel brave enough to go elsewhere this week.

Hello guys, love the article format this week good. I have 1 FT and 0.1m itb. Mount seems to be out. Should I

    1. Do Mount to Jota?
    2. Play Hwang or Antonio?
    3. Anything else

“make it a good answer”  –  So passive aggressive, that’s nice and welcoming!

I think the question is pretty self explanatory!

Why ask? Jest, natutal curiosity and surely you don’t expect people who read this site to not have a  interest in knowing if the editors advice is backed up in their ranking?

No need to get your panties in a twist, innit..

I expect people to read the site and not to judge other peoples rankings, the advice and support on this site is just that, friendly advice and support. My rank and previous seasons are not as high as other players but that doesn’t make my knowledge and advice less valuable than anyone else’s, and ill thank you to remember that.

Nice article folks, interesting to see your thought processes.

I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to do this week, I have 2FT and 1.2M ITB, so need to use a transfer but not sure I want to lose anyone. I’m contemplating Douglas Luiz to ESR and playing the bench boost. Is that mad?

    • 45.1

It is not mad at all. I prefer using BB during a DGW but in your case, that bench could do well if you include ESR.

Hey LD… I am in almost the same predicament as you (see post below)!

I thought about a BB this week, but I’m inclined to leave it to a DGW later in the season. For you though, I would still get ESR for Douglas Luiz, and start him ahead of Antonio as I don’t see West Ham getting much out of Liverpool with the form they are in (or perhaps Foden).

    Morning all! HELP!

I have 2 FTs, 0.6m ITB, current team below… I don’t see a transfer that I want to make and am leaning towards burning one, which doesn’t sit right with me! I’d like 2 FTs for the international break (probably to ditch Vardy and Havertz, to bring in some of Ronaldo/Kane/Son/Antonio)…

Anyone have a one week punt suggestion??
    Cheers!

      Bigpopz says:

If Firminho out, then how about Mount to Jota?

      • KezzyK says:

Cheers Bigpopz – is there not a decent chance that Mount is going to play though? Sounds like he is back in training.

One that has just occurred to me… what about Reguilon in for White? Alonso was great under Conte with his use of wingbacks and sounds like he had a decent game last night (despite the two goals conceded!)

        • Bigpopz says:

I’d probly keep White as he has Watford & Newcastle in the next 3 games.
          Like the Regullon shout tho.

Difficult one, I think I’d either do Dias to Cancelo, or downgrade one of the Chelsea mids so that you can do Son or Kane in next GW in one move.
