Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.

The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

So then.. 21 points and a GW later I’ve decided to play the Wildcard. Not because I think it’s a smart thing to do or because I absolutely had to. Just because I wanted to.

I don’t advice anyone else to use their WC this early.

Anyway, with that said – how about this for a first WC draft!? smile

Ogbonna nailed on? Swansea defence or West Ham?

      Raziel says:

Still Depay after his weak display last game? I mean, the behind hte striker role really isn’t suited for him. There is talk about Defoe losing his spot. And lol, still sold on Sunderland defense? :p

      • Ruben says:

True, but I want United cover and Depay is cheaper than Rooney, also rather have Agüero than Rooney.

Not really, I’m debating on getting Adrian in goal and going with Swansea def instead of Ogbonna.

      • Ruben says:

Who would Defoe lose his spot to?

        • Raziel says:

Not sure. Dick Advocaat said in an interview he was def. going to change the system Sunderland play. Defoe won’t be lone striker.

I think Depay will come good by the way. Like James below me, Mane should be on the scoresheet by now. Just like f-ing Sterling. Geeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, these guys have let me down. They can’t be doing that all season though. Also think Wally will start the next game for sure.

          Caz cappo?

        • MattX says:

Do you think we should sell Defoe then Raz??

        • Ruben says:

Oh, thanks. I will have an eye on news about Defoe then.

Yeah, many players have disappointed this weekend.

It’s Sanchez, not Cazorla. I haven’t decided on cappo yet though.

        • Raziel says:

Geeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz, my eyes. HAHA. Sanchez is awesome. He did look sloppy in the last game though, not Sanchez like.

        • Ruben says:

Hahaha, yeah, but it’s Sanchez. He won’t have two bad performances in a row.

        • Raziel says:

This really wasn’t just about his performance. It’s match fitness, he hasn’t got it yet. Brought way too early by Wenger.

      jamesimmo says:

I think it needs some Southampton attacking coverage in there. I think I’d take out Depay for Mane and use the 0.5m to do Pants to Cech or upgrade one of your West Ham defenders.

      • Ruben says:

James – That’s interesting, and a good idea. You think I should go without United coverage?

        • jamesimmo says:

I guess Rooney or Depay would be a nice luxury to have, particularly for the next couple of gameweeks, but after that I don’t see too much promise in their attack. I could be wrong, but Southampton’s fixtures are better, plus they looked far more lively than United this weekend.

        • Ruben says:

That’s true, their fixtures are better! I will definitely consider it! Thanks for the help.

        • Raziel says:

United will come good James. Young was completely nullified in the attack by the big Spurs monsta. Spurs were really good, they actually surprised me. Defensively Toby is a very interesting option, I think.

    Raziel says:

So guys, I ended up with 38 points. Can’t say I’m unhappy since there are probably worst scores out there, can’t say I’m happy either though. Saturday I was at 26 points with Walcott/Sterling/Benteke/Mane/Cedric/Merte to go. Six power houses collected me 12 freaking points. You heard me, that bunch collected me 12 freaking points. It’s a disgrace. If Mane and Sterling just did their job I’d be sitting here, quite happy, with 50+ points.

Sighs. That was my monologue. How did you guys do?

Any change required any this weekend’s monstrosity?

    Ant0800 says:

    Calvin Clyne says:

Just catching up on MotD now, what does everyone think about Jerome’s disallowed goal? Couldn’t believe it… if that’s disallowed then surely every bicycle kick has to be an automatic free kick too.

    Havertzon says:

First post of the season, 38points as well! Not sure if my team and all are linked since all of it remains since last year
