Couldnt agree more Raz, over-hyped and overrated!
Fridaynight made a bad decision by taking in Pelle. Only have 1 FT left and 0.5m in the bank. This is my squad for the next game. Nine players playing away from home. What changes would you consider? Considering to swap in Baird for Dummet or another 4.5m defender. Could also do Chambers to a 5m defender if I really wanted. Planning to get Newcastle or Swansea defender. Good choice? If yes! Who? If no! What should I do? F-ing rhymes.

Oooh nice one. Yeah either him, Janmaat or Dummet (whom is only 4m but will be out the squad when Santon returns in November).
Being a Villa fan (I know – no-one’s perfect), I was impressed with the Toon’s defence, even if we didn’t exactly pose them much difficulty. With Palace at home, they should be good value for another clean sheet. I suppose you could go for the £4m option, as there could be another good £4m defender by then to change to, having used money on other players. November is ages away too
Villa look better now and will look great once Benteke has returned for them. I’ve always been a big Ron “Brick” Vlaar fan but the denfders surrounding him have always been shite. Some of them still are like ”Senderos” but now with Hutton – Vlaar – Senderos – Cissokho they actually look decent. The minute Baker got in they looked much more shaky again.
Couldn’t agree more on all of that, matey. Baker is the worst defender we have had in a good while. Hutton has been great for us the past two games – really hope that him, Senderos and Roncrete do help to shore things up. Sanchez managed to come on, on his home debut, after about 70/75 minutes and just get a yellow card for his efforts! Oops.
Fingers crossed, anyway. Really can’t face another relegation worry for another season!
You should be alright, defense was main concern iirc. That problem seems semi-solved. When you start scoring again things should be fine. Anyway, off for bed. Hope I get as lucky as that monkey. 😉 Oyasumi nasai.

Only take hits when you really need to. Ask any expert here. Most topguys never even watch price rises, they don’t go to totalfpl so they don’t make emotional choices. 😉
I made a choice based on emotions late friday and took in Pelle for Jovetic. And he completely sucked, I just wanted him to succeed. Lol.

BURNSY, the more annoying I am ”NOW” the more you’ll think about this moment the next time you tend to make it. And maybe it helps. I get your point about raising value but in all honesty what do we know about the new price rising/falling system? Not enough. I want to build teamvalue, I’m ranked within the top 15k but I fear certain players will drop in value as Mata already has done. At the moment I don’t trust totalfpl, multiple players would drop for me tonight if they’re right. We’ll see. Just trust the players you have and have done well for you. I mean, your global standing is great. Four point hit won’t do that much damage. Hmm which other player did you get?
I did Huth down to dummett to free up 1m which I planned to use get silva/sterling next week. However the lure of Dier potentially going up by 0.2-3 was too much so I thought I’d hop on the bandwagon and get some value so I might be able to strengthen more when I wildcard,

I believe that you need to make aggressive correctional trades early. useless having non-players on bench. will pay off in long run.

With TotalFPL being off the scent at the moment, I’m just going to guess that Ben Davies is going to go down another 0.1m tonight and so I’m keen to sell him and bring in either O’Brien from West Ham or Taylor from Swansea.
As I was wrongly under the impression that Giroud was going to drop in value last night (and I was a bit drunk), I took him out for Dzeko and so taking out Ben Davies for someone would be at a four-point cost. What do you reckon? Team is below.

Team looking good, crazy move from you yesterday though. Either you have to take a 4 point hit or hope Jones, Ferdinand and Hutton do well. Which actually is possible. Let’s say you take a 4 point hit for a defender, even if he keeps a cleansheet and gets 6 points you’ll still be break even with a score of a defender that doesn’t keep a CS and concedes 1 goal.
Just hoping Giroud will go back to playing nothing again and Dzeko comes to life! Perhaps?!

Haha, cheers Raz! Just annoyed at myself for doing that transfer last night when both have got such similar fixtures coming up. Real sideways move and used the transfer that I could have got rid of Ben Davies with. Will hold out for doing that move next GW, as I should still be able to get a £4.5m replacement. With it being a one-game ban, I’ll hold on to Chester anyway, even if it was -2 he scored me today!

Made a sideways move myself by bringing in Pelle for Jovetic late Friday night. He got 0 chances and Jovetic is going all out tomorrow, I just know it.
Anyway, with the knowledge I have now I would still take out Jovetic but probably for someone like Naismith. Which will mean 2.5m extra money to spend elsewhere.

I’d be on that bandwagon, however they play Chelsea next. So the week after that, maybe. Think they still have quite hard fixtures, no?
Even against Leicester away, I can’t see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet. Leicester had one or two decent opportunities to score that they fluffed, but would stand a better chance against Arsenal’s defence compared to Chelsea.
No reason why Naismith couldn’t score again, to be honest. Especially as he’s at home.
From all the promoted teams Leicester looking the best. In the first 5 GW’s they have hellish fixtures but after that I’m stepping on the train Leicester train for cheap alternatives (and I already have Albrighton ;)).
Hey lads, I had a crap round, 33 points with Sterling and Jovetic to play. Strongly considering using my WC, initially I was going to wait till next week but I don’t think it can wait.

Yes your defence is a mess, but the rest is fine. Save the WC for later in the season, and take hits to get in 3 playing defenders.
