Hi everyone, thankyou for all your help so far. Please give me advice for GW3. Is Newcastle keeper/defender double too risky? If so which bench defender to put in? Do I need Mata? If I do who do I swap him for? Already used my F/T this week to replace Chester with Dier (before his price rises) Any/All comments welcome. Thanks smile

    Hi Everyone,

1st year player. Please give me some advice on my team. I haven’t wildcarded yet but I have already made 2 changes this week (Cabella to Mata and Chester to Dier) but happy to take the -4 point hit (and maybe more if I need it – only playing H2H and by the looks of it I have next weeks opponent covered quite easily).

A lot of people are talking about Aguero, do I need him? Do I need to upgrade Jukiewicz to Naismith or Berahino just for my bench? Do I need to get rid of DDG before he drops in price? I can’t see Man U keeping a clean sheet maybe for the whole year smile If I do take out DDG who do I try to get?

    Thanks heaps for your help

      Tallybeaver,

      Welcome to the site.

Looks like you will be lining up in 3-5-2 formation most weeks? If so, the Jutkiewicz is fine as your substitute striker – no need to upgrade as long as he keeps playing each week.

That is a very strong side and for one thing, no need to take any hits this week or use your WC any time soon.

You could go from your current GKPs to two who rotate well for the same cost such as Krul/Mannone or Guzan/Foster so you have more choice each week.

I would fit in Dier in to that team for this week. Playing players in form is vital in this game.

One other thing to say is that although you look forward to your H2H opponent, you won’t see his final team until after the deadline and by then, its too late for you to ‘cover’ him. Play to get the most of your players and your team – the H2H will take care of itself.

Hello all, how are we all?

Question for the day; we are now a few weeks in to the season and are people still liking the 3-5-2 system that was so popular preseason, a lot due to Bo(jan)-Selecta, or are people heading back to 3-4-3? Or even the radical 4-4-2 or 4-5-1?

goodmorning guys..need suggestion on WC. here’s my team.
    doubts:
    1. as the prices for players like dier, vlaar, naismith rising, wud it be advisable to get them into the pack?
    2. also, players like mata, de gea, mariappa are being devalued every day. is this the right time to get rid of em?
    3. what to do about the dummies baird, davis and myhill? they also dont seem to get any playtime soon.
    4. what about fab? as I think my MF is a decent one already.is he still a must considering future fixtures?
need serious advice on the WC decision part, as I am not able to do so. thanks frens.

Hello Constantine. There are any number of pro and cons to WC-ing this early. Your team has a good core but you are correct about price drops/rises. I would suggest you try to decide on the the strategy between now and January; formation, ‘must have’ players etc and see if this can be achieved in the next few weeks without using your card. If not, maybe its time. Also remember the international break is after the next GW; two weeks of tinkering and gaining price rises! Good luck.
