GW23 is live! We hope you are happy with your transfers, your line-up and your all important captain selection as there’s little else you can do now other than sit back and watch the action unfold. This round of fixtures sees us off with a lunch time kickoff and what a game we have in store. A battle between a Hull team who couldn’t score on the FF247 writers versus a side who lost their heart and soul when the silver fox took his talents to Crystal Palace. Luckily some actual FPL talent hit the pitch with six 3pm games. Including a battle at Anfield when former Liverpool heroes Downing and Carroll pay a visit. The best fixture of the GW caps the Saturday games. As City looks to revive their hopes of challenging for the title with a visit to Stamford Bridge. Sunday brings us the last two fixtures of the GW, with Arsene’s men chasing down that coveted 4th place title vs the goal scoring machine of Aston Villa. We then finish the GW off with the surprising Saints as they look to continue their inspiring march towards the champions league.

FMT. 18 points with four left to play and two in progress – after playing my wildcard! So tired of this now, took out Kane and Wasilewski before today – imagine my delight at them scoring today.
Don’t actually know if I can be bothered with this anymore.
Shit can happen. You’re still ranked within the top 10k, after tonight you’ll be a few points out of sight but you can fight your way back. Still really good ranking.

Kompany is supposed to be one of the best defenders in the world? RIght? Yet he screws up so often, every game he messes up 1 or 2 times, plus he’s injured a lot.
Raz – I think the injuries (and thus inconsistency in game time) haven’t helped. But he’s certainly lost that presence that he’s had in the last few seasons.

Evening lads. Still have my WC so I’m going to play this week. Which team is better? Current team is below and Im thinking of changing:
Trippier –> Bruce
Mert –> Yin
Giroud –> Ageuro
Austin –> Sturridge

Matt, I’m on wildcard. First few days I’ll just look at risers and stuff. Walters with a hattrick should rise like crazy, Fabs injury is more serious than first expected, Hutton has 2 or 3 hard fixtures left before a decent run. Second looks better but I’m waiting with my choices.
+1 Matt. Also, just note that Spurs are affected in GW 27 (although they have a double in GW 28), plus your defence has been downgraded significantly.
Further to the above Matt – I presume your preference is 3-4-3 (ie playing Kane). If so, downgrade one of your MFs and use that cash in defence
Clearly you need Aguero in there for Hull at home and if Raz is correct on Fab then given the way Hull performed today I’d seriously consider Silva too. But yeah that defence has taken a turn for the worse in the process!
Cheers for the replies guys. Ye the defence has gone down but I really want Sturridge in my team and I need to downgrade defence to do that. Just to confirm though the second team is better in your opinions??

Yeah I think I like that one better Matt. Apparently Liverpool looked a whole lot sharper today so hopefully they’re getting that verve back a bit now. Think you could be an early doors pioneer of that revolution of it continues.

I have been pioneering the Sterling and Sturridge combo all season whenever Sturridge was coming back from injury only to get injured again. Should I do anything else with this team maybe to raise some funds elsewhere? Is it worth downgrading Sanchez to Carzola And upgrading Puncheon or defence??
