I have 0.2m in the bank. Any suggestion regarding starting XI and captain and team would be very much appreciated.
Perfect team mate
but i would start Cech
that’s just me
should i bring van dijk in the team then ??
Hi there Hochoki,
It seems tough to leave out VD after 6 clean sheets but I guess you have Forster there and possibly no need to double up. Re capo – no idea mate….Payet or one of the Leicester boys is prob the safer call.
ya its hard to leave him out … should i bring cech and him in place of forster and daniels or dann ??
i fell down 300k places since the start of this miserable New Year 2016
something is seriously wrong with my team
please help me in at least saving my team from dropping further
i strongly believe i should wildcard. i have held it enough now. what good will one Solid DGW with 15 players playing twice do if my team continues to falter till that week
please help
team is
Butland Rudd
Dier Bellerin Fuchs Targett Ward
Sanchez Mahrez Payet Alli Gosling
Kun Kane Vardy
no FT and 3.4mn in the bank
please help guys
Nishant,
There really isn’t much wrong with your team mate. Let’s go through it again!!
Butland – great fixtures ahead, Shawcross on his way back will also help.
Dier, Bellerin, Fuchs all fine. Targett in and out of the side. Ward I’m not sure about but your only real worry in defence.
Sanchez – not really firing, but he is an easy downgrade if you so wish. Looks ready to explode at any time in my view, just needs to get his sharpness back.
Mahrez, Payet, Alli all good.
Kun, Kane, Vardy – what’s wrong with those??!
Wildcarding now would be crazy mate. Especially as we know little of GW30 at this point and in the lead up to GW34 and beyone you’ll be glad you still have it, trust me. I wish I still had mine. Just hang in there.
still holding it
even when i look into my team i can’t really figure out the reasons for faltering.
Just thought if i would have used my WC, my team would have been
Cech, cheap and playing GK
Van Dijk, Wimmer, Fuchs, Daniels, Borthwick
Mahrez Eriksen Coutinho Ozil Watson
Costa Kane Vardy
That’s all well and good Nishant, but you can’t look at Coutinho and Eriksen after this weekend and say, “I would have had them”…..especially as Coutinho won’t play Villa every week and blanks this week.
I talked about selling Kun for Costa, didn’t do it – c’est la vie.
Payet has been quiet before last weekend and Sanchez has done nothing, I guess they are the main reasons for you dropping. But there is no guarantee that a wildcard will change that. I played mine in GW21, have had 5 green arrows in six weeks and have only risen from 1,066,000 to 851k – yeah it’s progress but not what I wanted given the early wildcard.
wish we end up well mate
i was really happy till the Christmas period. i was 198k overall
i felt top 100k end will be sweet
but then the bad phase started. haven’t seen a green arrow since 45 days.
you motivate me though. thank you for the invaluable help.
will just pray i can still finish in top 250k at least
Nishant, much will change with these DGWs and the careful, well planned use of the chips – with a bit of luck thrown in along the way. Sanchez exploding would throw you up the rankings. Don’t forget many managers are doing well cos they have already use their chips and wildcarded. Much will change. But I accept it’s difficult to see and all we focus on is that there are so few gameweeks left!
12 more weeks
a wildcard, tripled cappo and bench boost left for me
hope i will be fine
Hi all, poor timing of the blank and suspensions has left me with just 9 players for the next GW!
Missing are:
Firmino
Lukaku
Aguero
Simpson
Wanyama
I have 1FT and £0.1m in the bank so pretty much resigned to a hit.
don’t really know what to do as of yet but quite tempted by bringing in Huth for Simpson, to make the funds for that I think I would take out Firmino (as quite keen on keeping Lukaku for Villa after their last game!) for someone cheaper but not sure who.
Such a frustrating predicament after a rubbish week with my GK scoring an OG!
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.
Or Fuchs actually. Sideways moving because Leicester are looking great at the back now and that pair offer great attacking threats.
I like Fuchs for 0.3 more actually, he is on some set pieces as well, right?
Do you have any non-playing as well?
I think a hit is worth it if the option is the play 10 players, then the “hit” would mean -2 pts basically.
What does the rest of your team look like?
I’d agree with substituting Firmino out.
After his blank week, he faces City, Palace (ok), Chelsea and Southampton. And with Sturridge back, he may play a less offensive role than in the last weeks.
I’m not sure would to substitute him for. Willian? Arnautovic (great fixtures)? Tadic? Payet if you do not have him?
So there goes my starting XI, with two reds yesterday.
Team (with * as non-playing):
Gomes Henn
Alder Monreal Cresswell Simpson* Souare*
Firmino* Mahrez Ozil Payet Alli
Aguero* Kane Ighalo
2FT, 0.8 ITB.
A) Simpson->Fuchs, and save other FT, and play 4-4-2.
B) Souare->someone
C) Simpson, Souare -> Fuchs and Targett and bench Targett against Chelsea.
D) OTher?
First, I’d wait before doing anything. Much can happen before the next GW in 12 days.
Substituting Simpson looks like a sideway move. He will miss one game only.
Personally, I am considering substituting Firmino out. After his blank week, he faces City, Palace (ok), Chelsea and Southampton. And with Sturridge back, he may play a less offensive role than in the last weeks.
A for me mate
I here people considering to transfer Firmino out which seems like a non sense move. Now, I don’t have him, but if I did (which I should) I would surely not sell him just because he blanks this GW.
He has an average of 9pts per GW in his last 6…
And for those doing that based on fixtures consider that he has produced in all of Liverpool’s recent games against top 4 opposition, except the Leicester game at anfield.
He’s in only 16% of teams and the reason why so many (the ones that don’t have him) are falling down the ranks. Crazy to transfer him out. Just crazy.
In the last 6 games, he played Norwich, Sunderland and Swansea though. He blanked against Leicester and West Ham.
But I agree that even when that did not show in the FPL points, he was very active.
And also: are we sure that he will still play as a forward, with Sturridge back?
Vinci – yeah he blanks here and there which says more about liverpool as a team than about firmino. On that note he had monster hauls against City and Arsenal. He’s very talented I believe and I don’t really think Sturridge will pose a problem, if nothing else because he’ll injury himself during these weeks.
haha a Sturridge injury is never far away!!
I sold Firmino last night DMC – please don’t shout at me
ehehe WHAT have you done Cookie??!!
I guess it depends on the rest of your team and how many (and who) blankers you have.
I only have Kun and Luk so it’s a straightforward luk-Vardy but if I had Firmino I would really try to just bench him, specialy if a few bucks are involved to bring him back afterwards.
Was that for Mahrez by the way?
Hi DMC, you make a very good case for keeping him. My own scenario may dictate that he goes though as I’m bringing Mahrez back in and the only alternative way is to sell Ozil instead of Firmino. Payet is the only other who I could do it for but I’m obviously not going to do that with Sunderland at home!
Yeah sold Lukaku and Firmino for Vardy and Mahrez with my 2fts. To be honest that was always the plan irrespective how Firmino did this weekend.
Kun will stay on the bench.
I considered benching him for gw 27,but the fact Sturridge is back, tricky fixtures and Simpson’s suspension and the fact I would have a benching nightmare in future weeks is forcing me to get rid.Saying that I’ll wait till after the cup games to decide what I’m doing.
Bench points…with having Eriksen frustratingly on the bench this past GW26, Mahrez GW25 and Siggy GW24, I thought I could win a league for most bench points this season – 343!
How am I fairing?
Seems very impressive to me ATF!! Hope you and the family are well mate.
Cookie, overall, keeping very well. Kids born in 2002, 2003 and 2004 provide plenty of adventure…how are you and yours? How’s this season going?
Good to hear ATF, all good this end on the whole, life never straightforward but also never dull! Season is a bit of a write-off in all honesty unless the last doezen game-weeks show an amazing turnaround!!
