Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 33 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 32GW33 is live! Its not just 6 teams that decided to take the gameweek off, our lunch time kick-off is also on a sabbatical this week. However we do have 4 three o’clock games. The Baggies visit Palace where Pulis will look to not take another beating. Palace averaging more than 2 goals per game over their last 6 and West Brom allowing 2 per game over that same time frame, sounds like a good day to own assets from the Pardew juggernaut. The Toffees see Burnley come in who despite their bad luck this season are still fighting for survival. Last place Leicester host the Swans, the Foxes are all of a sudden back in the fight to stay up with 2 straight wins. Southampton pay a visit to the Britannia where they will unleash Pelle on Stoke. Chelsea and Manchester United close the Saturday games. Interesting match up this, one team scoring for fun and the other only scoring just enough to get by. Hopefully CFC can up their one shot on target output from last week.

Sunday welcomes in the last two fixtures of this light gameweek. The Hammers visit the Etihad, where I am sure the stadium will be buzzing with excitement after City’s recent displays and an opponent that hasn’t won on their travels since December 2nd. Speaking of excitement, Newcastle welcome in over-the-hill Harry Kane and a Spurs side that has lost that spark about them, so much so, that basically they resemble Newcastle now.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Saturday in full…

Crystal Palace v West Brom 3pm

Everton v Burnley 3pm

Leicester v Swansea 3pm

Stoke v Southampton 3pm

Chelsea v Man Utd. 5:30pm

Sunday sees two fixtures…

Man City v West Ham 1:30pm

Newcastle v Spurs 4pm

    Evening gents.

54 this week for me. Not sure where that sits in the grand scheme of things.

How’s everyone doing? Big GW coming up!!

55 is average for top 1k, I got 56. Decent, average. Sort of unlucky with Soton coverage in the back, I guess. 😉

Murray missed a great chance, WBA playing f-ing pathetic by the way. Oooh, saw MOTD yesterday. I think United are on the right track. I personally figured Chelski were gonna walk over them because they were missing like the entire defense. How would Chelsea function without Ivanovic, Terry and Matic? I think they would be all over the place. So props to United. What Chelski did is park the bus. They’re good at it though. smile

      • Raz

I’ve not seen yesterdays matches but it only really is the result I noticed and no matter what Chelsea did, they won in the end and that’s the main thing.

I’m a bit disappointed this years league will be won early.

        • Raziel says:

Same, next season should be better. New coach for City, improved United, no CL for Liverpool (which should make them better in the epl), Arsenal that will compete. Can’t wait for this season to end and the next one to start. :p

Chelsea was playing with 10 man on own half 90 percent of the game.

Think this was the lowest ball possession rate Chelsea ever had at Stamford Bridge. Which is not key, but in all honesty I think this United should surpass Chelsea next season. I don’t see Chelsea getting better under Mourinho, ever. They won this season because City f-ed up, Liverpool has been mediocre, United are rebuilding and Arsenal always screws up. :p

        • I don’t necessarily think that we will have a new coach next season Raz. The target seems to be Guardiola, who has one season left on his contract for Bayern. Also, Liverpool will get Europa League, which is worse than CL :p
But I agree that Chelsea win because other teams have fucked up. If we played the way we did last season, we would be top, no doubt. Arsenal, United, and Liverpool could also surpass Chelsea when you look at their current form. I especially think Arsenal will be tough next season. But Mourinho will be Mourinho, and he will always get results, so write off Chelsea at your own risk. Especially when you look at how young their team is.

        • Raziel says:

Wankerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and his big ego will mess shit up for Arsenal sooner than later. I mean, dude is so stupid he doesn’t play Wally. In all honesty, Gooners deserved a loss yesterday. Bringing on Wally after 110 minutes? Say whut??????????? Pathetic.

      KI says:

      GP,

So many combinations. Is Hendo-Sterling-Coutinho too much of a good thing? (I already have Hendo, looking at -4). Drop Coutinho for Skrtel?
Big hug for NIN, and his Leicester writeup on GW 33. Vardy and Cambiasso were +6 overall for me, and back into first place in my perverse league. And now I have them set up for 34.
And I hope 4-2 for my “human” test isn’t a message.

      • Ki,

I’m really not sure what I’m doing yet mate. I want three Liverpool and three Chelsea is about as much as I know this far out.

Three mids might be brilliant particularly if Sterling is playing as a striker in place of Studge.

        • KI says:

          GP,

That was my thought exactly. Studge doesn’t seem reliable enough for a punt, and I don’t care for 2 away games for Skrtel, even though they look like possible clean sheets. Both Hull and WBA have things to worry about.

      NIN says:

45 scored and a -8 taken already

    Pippin says:

OK, first impulsive crack at a wildcard team- what you folks think of it? Depends on Silva obviously, but I think it’s him or an Arsenal placeholder realistically.

Otherwise, if I do go three ‘Pool (and I have serious doubts), I could switch Skrtel + Coutinho for Moreno + Sterling?

    • 93.1
      Raziel says:

You reckon Silva will be fit for the next game? I’d prefer Henderson and Sterling over the Coutinho choice. Haven’t seen Coutinho tonight though, noticed he scored.

      • Pippin says:

No idea Raz, I didn’t see anything live this weekend. Not sure I fancy anyone else from City if not Silva, and Villa are no pushovers. If I get Sterling in for Coutinho (objectively a better pick, I agree), I have 9.2m to spend. The Arsenal guys seem the best bet (as I’ll be loading up anyway) and they might nick something against Chelsea. Oezil, Caz or Ramsey I suppose?

      inittowinit says:

Hi Pippin, looking good so far. Sterling jumped out at me immediately. Or rather the lack of. I think he’d be one of the first names on a WC team for me this week. I’d maybe sneak an Arsenal body on the bench too just so you are one step ahead of 37.

      • Pippin says:

Cheers init. Solid advice as ever! Sterling is a good call, and if I’m not trying to keep Silva he is easily affordable. Are you getting any Liverpool defence? Skrtel is mainly for attacking returns as I don’t trust them to keep CS

      Brookyboy says:

How about Cambiasso instead of Phillips, play him and bench Kane who has a tricky fixture away at southampton ??

      • Pippin says:

Is Cambiasso on set pieces? I am also pondering this King fella who seems in a bit of form. Like the idea of benching Kane though, and getting another DGWer in there though, I am chasing hard! Could also bench whichever Arsenal midfielder I replace Silva with if he doesn’t play….? I fancy Jose to keep it tight again, like this week

        • Brookyboy says:

He’s on free kicks, king scored from a fumble by the keeper from one yesterday. How about Schmeicel instead of myhill and play him too ? Might get you a sneaky clean sheet and some save points?

    Ripcurl82 says:

    1) Puncheon – Cambiasso
    2) Kane – Vardy

Whoever is in from option 1 will be playing instead of Giroud I think!

    Thanks

    Silverback says:

Cheers all yes thk it will have to be 8 point hit those on a WC must be rubbing the hands

    Elchico90 says:

Hey guys, should I bring in Coutinho or Sterling for this GW? And what striker would be a good choice for 7.3m? Taking a hit but I’m not that bothered 😛

    • 96.1
      inittowinit says:

It’s a case of how’s your luck on those two! Hard to say. If Sturridge is still out I’d favour Sterling. As for the strikers it’s an odd DGW with 4 teams as only 2 of them have any strikers who we know will play one and of them is Hull which leaves Leicester which means Vardy who doesn’t strictly speaking actually play as a striker! Ulloa is an option but even he only played last minute because Nugent got injured in the warm-up. Vardy if anyone then but even that’s said with a massive tone of caution as their second game is the Chelsea rock.

      • Elchico90 says:

If I go for Sterling, my limit for a striker is 6.6mil. I got Nugent in last Friday with the DGW in mind, for a hit too haha…I might even get a striker not playing 2 games this week, as you said with Leicester playing Chelsea in their 2nd game. If I go for Henderson even, I could get Giroud. Decisions decisions

        • inittowinit says:

That’s awful luck with Nugent, it happens I suppose but it hurts all the same! Giroud would be wise for beyond this week but I’m not sure I’d be expecting much against Chelsea. They look in the mood to just get the job done so I’m expecting a very tight game again there. Vardy and Sterling may be the way to go and hope Vardy does the business against Burnley with an outside chance of something in the second game? It’s at home after all and they may just go for it expecting nothing.

        • Elchico90 says:

Been having bad luck like that all season, only 6 games left thank god!! I’ll give it a few days to assess my options, have Silva, Toby and Nugent. May not have to take a hit, never know. Thanks for your comments inittowiwinit
