Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 35 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 35GW35 is live! Another lunch time kickoff? Yes, thank you. The Foxes take on the permanent white flag waving Newcastle side. This a game between a club who is slowly crawling out of the relegation places for one that is falling faster than Suarez in the box. This fixture is followed by five 3pm games. The Villains welcome in the white hot Toffees. Martinez has the side rolling with 16 points out of their last 18. Wonder what has made the difference? *Checks Naismith (Ginger Messi) last start. Hmmm, interesting six games ago he was benched for good. Well that proves one thing. How amazing Everton is of course, to be doing all this without their best player is quite the feat. QPR visit Liverpool in a clash that will surely see the Merseysiders put in 4-5 goals by the London outfit….sorry I forgot this was 2015 not 2014. Maybe Liverpool will eek out a 1-0 win if they are lucky. In another festive affair, the Black Cats look to scratch a Saint. Southampton with the season coming to a close are more interested in readying their club to supply other EPL teams with overpriced talent. (Liverpool, we are looking at you) In Wales, the Swans welcome in Stoke. It is a battle of two teams who have done well for themselves and ahh, yeah that’s about all we have to say. The Hammers have Burnley coming in for a match up of two teams that have only won twice all year long. What?! That’s right these two outfits have managed 23 points between them since Jan.1st out of a possible 90. Our prediction for this game is that both will come away with a loss somehow. In that last fixture of the day, United hope that Pulis doesn’t also figure out like CFC & Everton how to stop the kick it high to the Mop LVG philosophy.

On Sunday we have two fixtures. The Champions to bore, I mean be, see the Silver Fox come in for a visit. Terry and Pardew at the same place should be exciting for all promiscuous women. In the second game Spurs host the Citizens. Pochettino is hoping his side can continue to hang on to their Europa league spot. Because what would a Europa League be without them? We need something to do on a Thursday afternoon just as much as Roberto Soldado.

The game-week finishes off with a Hull team desperate for points so they can get closer to cementing their EPL spot for next season. Arsenal on the other hand would love nothing more then earning a second place trophy to add to their trophy case over the last decade. Surely would become the center piece of that fabulous collection.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the woofbet.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

    EBC says:

    Cazorla & Ramsey in.

Sterling & Hazard/Fabregas out. Which one? Hazard should do better but if I take him out I can afford Benteke the last week instead of Ulloa/Austin.

      KI says:

Maybe Hazard. Benteke is on fire, and a possible C (against Burnley) in gw38,

      • EBC says:

I’ve found an alternative route…what do you think?

Option 1 – GW36 (Ram & Caz in, Haz & Ster out), GW37 (Wickham in, Ulloa out), GW38 (Benteke in, Wickham out)

Option 2 – GW36 (Ram & Caz in, Cesc & Ster out), GW37 (Larsson in, King out), GW38 (Benteke in, Giroud out)

    Hi folks,

Hitting desperate times! Had a 51 point slashed to 35 and now 14 and that’s before Ospina plays tomorrow too. Team is below – what do you think to:

This GW: Moreno > McShane and Fab > Rambo
Next GW: Silva > Sanchez (and possibly Rose > PVA for a four-point hit?)

May wait to do my transfers after Hull v Arsenal tomorrow in case anything happens to Rambo or Sanchez.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated!

      inittowinit says:

Hi Swirly, I’d defo wait for a start! Rambo is made of glass and could break at any point. Your plan looks sound. I probably wouldn’t do the final -4 for PVA as you already have Panti so that’s probably enough cover there at the back. One of the games is Arsenal after all. Maybe look at Hendo to Larsson or Gomez instead at that point. I like the McShane one as a one off means to an end punt on getting the 4 back and raising funds in the process.

      • theswirly says:

Yeah, I thought bringing in a cheap Hull defender could free up cash to allow for the certainty of price rises or drops in the meantime. Plus they’ve probably got the best chance of a clean sheet at home compared to the other teams this GW. Will definitely be waiting until at least tomorrow night as I can’t afford for anything to go wrong now. Can’t believe my winning margin has been slashed so much so near to the end of the season sad

Swirls, whats your thoughts on Haz and/or Fab being given time off now that the league is won ? Re my post above to EBC.

      • theswirly says:

Funnily enough it was your post that made me think of bringing my transfer forward! Originally had Fab to go next GW, but I envisage Rambo getting more points than Fab against Swansea and that’s if Fab even starts. Daren’t get rid of Hazard, at least not yet. As I said above, I’m going to wait to see what happens tomorrow before I make any moves – it doesn’t look like any real price changes are happening tonight. That’s according to FFFix anyway.

        • I can’t afford Rambo this week, it will have to be Caz to allow me to get Benteke, who i think will have a good last 3 games, hes really in form at the moment.

        • theswirly says:

Ah, Elle – Bentekkers! Of course! I’ve not even given him thought. Maybe I might just do:

          GW36: Kane > Bentekkers, Fab > Rambo / Cazorla, Clyne > Chester (4-point hit)
GW37: Silva > Sanchez, Moreno > PVA (another 4-point hit)

I think I need to sit down and have a think before I make my changes, however. The panic of having my lead slashed must be getting to my head! And breath!

      EBC says:

I’d keep an eye on Davies, he might come back in for McShane.

Maybe keep Moreno this week and get Van Aanholt for him next week. Could always go for Cazorla instead of Ramsey if cash is an issues (him being on pens is a big bonus).

    inittowinit says:

Evening all, been out all day but judging by how quiet it’s been the scores didn’t exactly improve much from yesterday’s debacle! What are we all sitting on now? 48 here with Giroud left.

    • 101.1
      EBC says:

      55 with Giroud to come.

    • 101.2
      jamesimmo says:

Evening init, got 44 and Giroud left too, a disappointing fantasy weekend.

    • 101.3

Evening Init, 36 with PvA to come in off the bench plus Giroud to play. Pretty grim really. :shake:

      • inittowinit says:

I’ve not checked yet Elle but I don’t imagine the site teams done much better! You’ve had a great season so far so I wouldn’t be too down about the odd crap week. What are your plans this week and for DGW37?

        • Init, Benteke in for Kane, but 0.9 short, so it looks like Fab to Caz to fund it. Unfortunately it leaves me with Hendo and Sterling, but i hope they can do something against an ‘already won title’ Chelski, asked the question before about Haz and/or Fab being given time off now.

        • inittowinit says:

I doubt they will next week at least as he’ll want his full team getting the guard of honour from your lot. He won’t send out the kids for that. I know it’s nothing to do with the game but it means a lot for them to enter the field and be acclaimed as champs. Plus he’ll want to win that one. Beyond that I’ve no idea what he’ll do. I’m losing Haz for Sanchez myself in 37 I think.

Wouldn’t be concerned about losing Fab so do that one. No Giroud for the double?

      theswirly says:

44 points. Would be 59 if I’d played Myhill ahead of Pantsu. Unbelievable Jeff.

    • 101.5
      FC Sanchez says:

Not too bad here, Init. 59 w/ Ospina left. He better get at least a cleanie as I’ve got Myhill on the bench. (Hindsight is 20/20 but I initially thought about doing Murray–>Benteke and to leave Myhill in as GK this week. But w/ the Arsenal DGW coming up, thought I’d get a head start and bring ARS players in. Result, Benteke and Myhill on a massive haul! Gotta remind myself sometimes that it’s just a game).

      • inittowinit says:

Better still Ospina gets the flu or something tonight! Good score for the week that though mate. I reckon most had the Benteke / Giroud debate with themselves this week and most went Giroud or at least decided that would be the future one. My brother in laws my main chaser in my ML and I had dinner with him earlier and he went Tekkers this week and I went Giroud so that was some interesting banter! But he said he can’t get Giroud now as he’s full up on Arsenal so I reckon in the long run I’d prefer Giroud with the extra game. I’ll probably swap him for Tekkers in 38.

      Raziel says:

60 points with Giroud left. Happy with my score.

      • inittowinit says:

Hold the front pages… RAZ IS HAPPY!

First time for everything I suppose. Well done mate, great score. Nice little jump in rankings too I’m guessing?

        • Raziel says:

Hmmm. Don’t know. Rank is sort of irrelevant to be honest. As for me being happy. It’s all relative mate. I got a morbid sense of humor? Dark sense of humor? Or I just like to piss around. The last thing. 99 percent of the time I rant for no apparent reason, just for the sake of it. 😉

I’ll cut that shit down. 😉

But yeah, in the top 4k again. After screwing up, week in, week out.

        • Raziel says:

Aaah yes, this might sound crappy but my rants aren’t sincere. I’m not really pissed. Let me try and remember the last time I was really pissed here…………………hmmmmmmmmm……………… can’t remember. I’ll try to be a bit nicer to the useless English managers though. 😉

        • Raziel says:

By the way, you guys reckon JwP’s red card will be overturned? At MOTD yesterday everybody said it was a bad one, not even a penalty.

        • inittowinit says:

Never change Raz. Ever. We love you for who you are!

      B-Bash says:

      Evening Initt,
56 with Giroud left to play. Benching Silva didnt pay off, but hey! I think I may keep him after today!

      • inittowinit says:

Pretty good score despite that then Bash, who did you bench him for? (Don’t say Puncheon… 😉 )

        • B-Bash says:

No mate. I’ll never own him, I will only ever watch him! I went with Cambiasso, but flippin Albrighton did what I wanted Cambiasso to do!

        • inittowinit says:

Wow that Puncheon grudge is deeper than I thought! Cambiasso to not be involved in a mini routing was highly unlucky to be fair, you’d have expected an assist at the very least.

        • NIN says:

Hey Bash. How are things mate? Haven’t chatted in a while now. Season going to plan?

        • B-Bash says:

Hey Nin, only just seen your comment mate! smile
My season is going ok. Bit strange really as I’m not in the work league and I’m not in any head to head leagues! Bad admin on my behalf, but it has lead to a rather quiet season at times! Hope your well mate!

        • NIN says:

Morning Basher. Yeah all is well with me, cheers. Bloody FPL team is on the slide, though. 5 red arrows in 6 GW’s… oh dear. Hoping Ospina and Rambo (c) tonight can change that a bit 😉

    • 101.8
      NIN says:

Hey init/all. A shambolic 29 points so far from my lot. Ospina and Ramsey (c) left to play.

      • inittowinit says:

A goal and a cleanie rectifies all that and puts you above average I reckon NIN so not all lost and you’ll be one of the few with a capo still to go. I’m here if it all goes tits up though! #freehugs

        • NIN says:

Yeah, still a possibility of getting a haul. It has been a really weird season, results wise, eh? Very hard to predict. Any joy in MLS?

        • inittowinit says:

Game weeks going ok I think. Got ditched from the top 100 last week for the first time but that’s because I took hits for this week. Was back in there last night and around the 100 mark last time I checked. Love that they update it live as opposed to FPL. Guess it’s easier when you don’t have 3m users though! Possibly WC’ing this week but not decided yet. How’s it been for you so far?

        • NIN says:

init – Very nice, mate. Great start for you so far  My week is going okay. 66 so far with Feilhaber still playing and Martins to play later. 367 OR.
