Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW8 is live! We start the week off with a lunch time affair between Palace and West Brom. Palace brings the almost all useable, but none consistent enough to be used in FPL mids versus the Baggies all useable defenders as long as they are playing away. After that early kick off we follow it up with five, 3pm fixtures. The Villans battle Barca B (Stoke City) in an early relegation battle, newly promoted Watford pay a visit to the Wilson-less Bournemouth side, in other action Newcastle take on a Manchester City side that is playing like…well, Newcastle. The Canaries tangle with the recently perch dropped Leicester side after Mahrez and company got beat down at the hands of Arsenal. 3rd place West Ham gets their chance to fill their boots when they face the criminally inept Sunderland defence. In the last fixture of the day we see the strangely enough fun (funny at times) as heck Mourinho side face off against Southampton who is known to at times get into up and down affairs. Expect a 0-0 now.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. The Merseyside Derby gets us going. A surprising Everton side takes on the evil genius Brendan Rodgers. By evil we mean funny and by genius we also mean funny. After Rodgers finishes up with his party trick formations, we get some more when LVG takes his first place side to visit a 4th place side. Any idea who could be in 4th? Just guess, it is very obvious… that’s right Arsenal!! Wenger will feel relieved knowing he has already taken control of his ultimate objective and undoubtedly will have proved naysayers wrong again. Who needs a striker? Not Wenger! In the other fixture the Swans play host to the resurgent Spurs. Spurs of course are in 6th place, perfectly in line for a Europa spot, again.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

Congrats to everyone who scored a ton this week especially as there weren’t any DGWs.
I had an amazing week and managed to get two tons smile
Horse FC got 115 and are up to 150k
and my GW2 team Foal FC which I just set up for a bit of laugh scored 100 points and are up to 25k (and top of the regulars league)

According to us soccerway, Senegal will play on the 22nd, 5 days after Southampton’s fixture in GW9. If Mane will play in that game (important WC Qualifier game) then there is no way he will feature next GW. Anyone can confirm this?

Who are best options for 4.5 defenders?
Are hangeland or kelly will keep place after delany and ward return?
Who are most stable option for stoke after showcross coming back ? Is cameron worth?

      Calvin Clyne says:

Mahelmy I think at the moment the best 4.5 option is Davies. It’s a bit risky with Rose there too, but considering how many games he’s had it’s probably worth it for such a cheap route into a really solid defence.

I expect Ward to get back in soon after recovering but other than that it’s hard to say as Hangeland is playing well with Dann.

For Stoke Cameron seems to be worth it currently but who knows what Hughes thinks. I’m really surprised Muniesa has been dropped so what do I know. Best one for me from stoke is actually Butland!

Hello people.. Scored a decent 107 and jumped to a close 100k rank.but, concerned about my current squad..areas of concern are:
Sagna, baker, cedric, inclusion of pelle and payet to the team and the biggest concern is shittyama’s falling price and his terrible form. Shud i play my wildcard just yet so that i could build up some value or just wait and make some changes at the end of the break?? Cheers guys.

“Decent” smile Awesome score mate! If you intend on using the WC before the start of GW9 anyway then get on it immediately, missed some price rises already.

      • constantine says:

Haha..thank u CC. But, shud i go with WC? Or shud i make 1 or 2 changes, make peace with it and save the WC for a better day?have linked my team along.what do u suggest?

        • mahelmy says:

Some prices already raised and dont think there are more will increase now
Ur team can be adjusted with minus 4

        • Calvin Clyne says:

Well I think that the WC has lost a lot of value considering it must now be used before New Year’s. I’d probably say use it mate. You’ve got far from a bad side there and it could be fixed with a couple of hits, but with a WC you could change most of the team.

Of course if you would only change 6 or 7 players, with most of them being on the bench, it’s not worth it.

        • constantine says:

CC..i’m not planning to change the whole team as such.its just that its getting very uncertain of the “sure” players to start each game now and if ur bench also doesnot have the starters, then you’re going to lose points. Other reason is obviously falling prices of players like sagna, wanyama, baker which needs to be rextified ASAP. But i guess I’ll stick to your advice and halt my horses for now..its a good suggestion to use ur WC before new year’s or when atleast 4 of your players are injured..cheers Calvin

        • Calvin Clyne says:

Well if you’re driven by price changes like me then it is another reason to use the WC. Sorry, I’m not being much help here am I haha.

I took a -12 last GW to avoid 4 players losing value and got in 4 who went up so I do get that concern very well.

Ok. 93 points is a good score and from only 10 men. 2nd week ive only had 10 play.

Defence is a serious problem and I really don’t like not being able to transfer Wilson out.

Might have to look at making an early change over the IB to stop crazy changes to TV (Wilson –> Ighalo?). And then take a hit or 2 to sort out problems.

Really could do with some ideas. Thanks so much.

      constantine says:

Ohyesali..for me it shud be: wilson to ighalo ASAP and muniesa to cameron as he seems to have lost his place or souare of crystal palace and cathcart/ francis are also one of the sure shot starters..

      constantine says:

1mdb, i wud suggest you to take care of marriappa here.keepbdier as he’ ll be back by gw10.u have francis to give u a sure 1 or 2 points. But u dont have many playing options at 4m def.only browning for now seems to be nailed.
