Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW8 is live! We start the week off with a lunch time affair between Palace and West Brom. Palace brings the almost all useable, but none consistent enough to be used in FPL mids versus the Baggies all useable defenders as long as they are playing away. After that early kick off we follow it up with five, 3pm fixtures. The Villans battle Barca B (Stoke City) in an early relegation battle, newly promoted Watford pay a visit to the Wilson-less Bournemouth side, in other action Newcastle take on a Manchester City side that is playing like…well, Newcastle. The Canaries tangle with the recently perch dropped Leicester side after Mahrez and company got beat down at the hands of Arsenal. 3rd place West Ham gets their chance to fill their boots when they face the criminally inept Sunderland defence. In the last fixture of the day we see the strangely enough fun (funny at times) as heck Mourinho side face off against Southampton who is known to at times get into up and down affairs. Expect a 0-0 now.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. The Merseyside Derby gets us going. A surprising Everton side takes on the evil genius Brendan Rodgers. By evil we mean funny and by genius we also mean funny. After Rodgers finishes up with his party trick formations, we get some more when LVG takes his first place side to visit a 4th place side. Any idea who could be in 4th? Just guess, it is very obvious… that’s right Arsenal!! Wenger will feel relieved knowing he has already taken control of his ultimate objective and undoubtedly will have proved naysayers wrong again. Who needs a striker? Not Wenger! In the other fixture the Swans play host to the resurgent Spurs. Spurs of course are in 6th place, perfectly in line for a Europa spot, again.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the FanTeam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

    Morning
Finished on 99, just missed out on the century

Did some early transfers Pedro for Mane and Wilson for Igahalo

    Team now is;
Schemichal (Schwarzer) – really need to get rid of Schemichal, he doesn’t get clean sheets
    Cedric/Kolorov/Soure/Dawson/Targett
    Mane/Payet/KDB/Awey/Mahrez
    Aguero/Martial/Igahlo

Bought in Mane to gain advantage on his value rising, although he is unlikely to play the next gameweek according to some posters, I have 5 defenders who all have home fixtures so may play 4 at the back. still have 2m in the bank aswell.

Cheers CC & Constantine I took Diouf out I was getting inpatient with his injuries & I changed Martial > Pelle last night before price change only because I need cash for another def or I would have left Martial in.

103 clams, elated!!! First time to ever reach a century, in the past 99, 96, 90….never a century until Aguero. You gem!
With 12 days to go to the next one I need to get rid of my 5th mid Mr. Bacary Sako who now doesn’t even feature.
In a bit of a fix here. I have 3 strikers Aguero (C), Vardy and Ighalo who I can never bring myself to bench but need a very good 5th mid who is not just bench fodder or a 2 point yielding machine, you know like we used to have with Phillips (QPR) last year. Mid price range I can afford em all i.e. 7.0 to 5.5. Ideas please?

      Calvin Clyne says:

Hey Paddy, if you’re intent on playing Ighalo then for your 5th mid I suggest Cabaye, Kouyate, Arnautovic or Hoolahan. Hoolahan would be my top pick as I wouldn’t want that much cash always benched if it were one of the others tbh.

I have Ighalo as my 8th attacker and he will likely stay that way. Was very glad to have him come in for Mahrez today, but way prefer my other 7 over him.

Great news on your score mate, well done.

Agree with Mr CC here – great choices there. Cabaye is on penalties I believe and that might swing me (although I’d play him before Ighalo most weeks).

      • RedPaddy says:

CC & GP this is awesome feedback, plenty thanks to you both. I just rose to the top of my mini league, opened up a 20 point gap in the process to…so I need to tread very wisely from here on, doubly glad to have the wise men on here in my counsel. Will await the IB to make this change. Grazie mille
