Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW8 is live! We start the week off with a lunch time affair between Palace and West Brom. Palace brings the almost all useable, but none consistent enough to be used in FPL mids versus the Baggies all useable defenders as long as they are playing away. After that early kick off we follow it up with five, 3pm fixtures. The Villans battle Barca B (Stoke City) in an early relegation battle, newly promoted Watford pay a visit to the Wilson-less Bournemouth side, in other action Newcastle take on a Manchester City side that is playing like…well, Newcastle. The Canaries tangle with the recently perch dropped Leicester side after Mahrez and company got beat down at the hands of Arsenal. 3rd place West Ham gets their chance to fill their boots when they face the criminally inept Sunderland defence. In the last fixture of the day we see the strangely enough fun (funny at times) as heck Mourinho side face off against Southampton who is known to at times get into up and down affairs. Expect a 0-0 now.
On Sunday we have three fixtures. The Merseyside Derby gets us going. A surprising Everton side takes on the evil genius Brendan Rodgers. By evil we mean funny and by genius we also mean funny. After Rodgers finishes up with his party trick formations, we get some more when LVG takes his first place side to visit a 4th place side. Any idea who could be in 4th? Just guess, it is very obvious… that’s right Arsenal!! Wenger will feel relieved knowing he has already taken control of his ultimate objective and undoubtedly will have proved naysayers wrong again. Who needs a striker? Not Wenger! In the other fixture the Swans play host to the resurgent Spurs. Spurs of course are in 6th place, perfectly in line for a Europa spot, again.

Morning
Finished on 99, just missed out on the century
Did some early transfers Pedro for Mane and Wilson for Igahalo
Team now is;
Schemichal (Schwarzer) – really need to get rid of Schemichal, he doesn’t get clean sheets
Cedric/Kolorov/Soure/Dawson/Targett
Mane/Payet/KDB/Awey/Mahrez
Aguero/Martial/Igahlo
Bought in Mane to gain advantage on his value rising, although he is unlikely to play the next gameweek according to some posters, I have 5 defenders who all have home fixtures so may play 4 at the back. still have 2m in the bank aswell.
Morning all great wknd for most on here broke into top 50k so pleased with that. Already taken a hit but could regret it (price changes forced). 😉
Great work Silvers. Who in for who?
Cheers CC & Constantine I took Diouf out I was getting inpatient with his injuries & I changed Martial > Pelle last night before price change only because I need cash for another def or I would have left Martial in.
My only problem is I have 3 City & Lei players which I thk is over kill I will get it sorted. 😉
Silvers, awesome rank buddy. U seem to be seeing all greens there.same is the issue with me..was planning to get my WC activated but as suggested by Calvin, i’m going to use that some other day. Will wait till the end of the break and then decide. Cheers
Hi everyone.. what you guys think about sangna?
is it the best time to sell now?
if it is.. who would be the best choice?
NewbDoe
Can you get Gabriel from Arsenal?
Thanks galant pioneer for the input.
I dont have arsenal coverage for defender at this moment, ganriel would be a good transfer
Considering he was blank on gw1 and gw2, is he temporarily first tean or guaranteed starter for arsenal?
103 clams, elated!!! First time to ever reach a century, in the past 99, 96, 90….never a century until Aguero. You gem!
With 12 days to go to the next one I need to get rid of my 5th mid Mr. Bacary Sako who now doesn’t even feature.
In a bit of a fix here. I have 3 strikers Aguero (C), Vardy and Ighalo who I can never bring myself to bench but need a very good 5th mid who is not just bench fodder or a 2 point yielding machine, you know like we used to have with Phillips (QPR) last year. Mid price range I can afford em all i.e. 7.0 to 5.5. Ideas please?
Hey Paddy, if you’re intent on playing Ighalo then for your 5th mid I suggest Cabaye, Kouyate, Arnautovic or Hoolahan. Hoolahan would be my top pick as I wouldn’t want that much cash always benched if it were one of the others tbh.
I have Ighalo as my 8th attacker and he will likely stay that way. Was very glad to have him come in for Mahrez today, but way prefer my other 7 over him.
RedPaddy
Great news on your score mate, well done.
Agree with Mr CC here – great choices there. Cabaye is on penalties I believe and that might swing me (although I’d play him before Ighalo most weeks).
CC & GP this is awesome feedback, plenty thanks to you both. I just rose to the top of my mini league, opened up a 20 point gap in the process to…so I need to tread very wisely from here on, doubly glad to have the wise men on here in my counsel. Will await the IB to make this change. Grazie mille
Morning All.
Brendan Rodgers is sacked by Liverpool…
As reports say, Pool owners will be flying over to Germany from USA to discuss and seal the deal with Jurgen Klopp !
@Reds – your comments, pls… :popcorn:
HL
Am hearing Big Sam has just arrived at Anfield…….not a bad choice, should defo keep them up :hippo:
Lol – nice one Cookster !
Morning to you, too !
@Elle – rumours are Klopp has “already” signed a 3 year deal…
Let’s see…
Ancelotti, alongside Klopp, represents the most viable candidate.
But lately Carlo is showing very little interest for the position, as he said he would prefer to manage a team playing in the CL…
@Elle – what interests me the most – is whether LFC would agree to Klopp’s terms re: “killing off” the Transfer Committee !
If they agree on this – then I have a question for them…
-Why the hell they did not provide Brenda with the same (transfer) power ?!?!
He did have the power this summer just gone. The committee didn’t want Benteke and Rodgers did, so FSG backed him.
GP, yeah he is a great young manager, he will be really good in a few years time, with the right team and with the board backing him.
We knew he was gone last week, it just wasn’t announced before the derby, so as not to upset anything.
Morning Doc, we all knew Brenda was going after the derby. He was told 2 weeks ago 3 wins from Villa, Sion and Everton was a requirement, that went out the window last Thursday.
The new manager is a guess at the moment. Carlo said he wouldn’t talk about it whilst Brenda was still manager. Heard Klopp would like the job with his Bosnian mate as coach. Now FDB has stated he would like the job also.
Hi elle
I feel sorry for Rodgers. I think that ‘near-miss’ really knocked him. I think he thought that was his moment and took a lot more out of him than he might have imagined. A decent bloke who respected the club and tried his best.
I agree with the decision though and I can just now see Klinsmann coming in.
Advocaat is free……
Long as they stay away from Warburton, Cookie, they can do what they like !
Bring back Kenny. Again. :hippo:
I could actually see that happening NIN but I did read somewhere last night that Liverpool wouldn’t sign an interim manager and plan to have the new lad in by the Spurs game.
If that happens mate, it’s over for Liverpool. Cant see Ancelotti taking it but Klopp probably will. Good appointment. He’s a complete lunatic as well so he would bring some laughs with him too.
Ye I think it will be Klopp and I think he’d fit right in, at present times you need to be a bit mental to take over at Liverpool plus would love to see him interact with Jose and LVG :L (or at least till Jose is sacked too)
According to Soccerway, Senegal (Mane) have a game on 15/10 – whilst Saints kick off against Leicester on Sat 17/10 at 15:00…
Yeah, Mane on the bench…
Hang on, and 22/10… eh?
Blatter’s closest fantasy rival must have Mane in his draft team…
