We hope this finds you and all your loved ones relatively safe and well. And welcome back to Live Match Chat. For those of you new to it it’s basically our version of Soccer Saturday but without any annoying flat earthers, big nosed scousers or smarmy Scotsmen. Oh, hang on…
The new season kicks off on Saturday lunchtime with a newly bullish Arsenal taking a trip to see whether Fulham learned any lessons from the last time they mixed it with the big boys.
This is followed by just the one 3pm game as Palace host Southampton.
Saturday finishes with the Champions Liverpool welcoming Leeds back in to the big time at 5.30pm and then Newcastle go to West Ham at 8pm.
On Sunday we have two games beginning with newcomers West Brom stepping back up to host Leicester. Followed by two stalwarts as Everton go to their bogey team Spurs.
Monday is unusual (what isn’t these days) as we have two 8pm games. Brighton host a new look Chelsea team and Sheffield United welcome Wolves.
It is of course a reduced GW in that both Manchester clubs were given a break after their European

You’re a brave one dumping Salah after a hatty!
I’d be cautious on that hit straight away especially with Toon playing Brighton.
I didn’t see Everton today, how did James look?

I can’t see the logic in it if I’m honest. Salah has just scored a hat-trick and we haven’t seen Bruno play yet.
+1. I’m with Kop on this one, Mo has just scored 3 and he is capable of doing it against any team, even Chelski.
James looked good today and was one of their most influential players going forward.
I know Salah got a hatty but doesn’t mean that’s any kind of form, especially with 2 pens. I had always planned to sub out for Fernandes, with Auba going the week after for KDB.
Will hold fire for now but personally I like the moves, certainly thinking for the next few GW’s ahead
2 of his 3 goals may have been penalties but he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. I’ve not seen him play that well for some time.

Wanted a team with Bruno, Willian, KDB & Salah in middle

What was your gw1 team like ? If you want them players surely Will.i.an and Mo were already in the team and you would have had a plan to get the other 2.
There is a very small chance that we have a DGW earlier if MC&AV or MU&BUR get knocked out of EFL cup early then one or both could go to GW14.

Harrison has got a good game v Ful next week but ASM also has a decent fixture v BHA. I’d give Max another chance and save the transfer.
Well another slow start with 58 pts & Havertz & Werner on Monday nite. I hope Havertz plays. As for GW2 I think I’ll just save the transfer and go with a different
captain; maybe?? Choice between Auba & Salah, But Salah is away where he doesn’t always score. Qustions. questions, always questions.

I know is still early , but im so tempted to buy james rodriguez > salah + hit 4pts to bting martial to mitrovic coz i still want man utd coverage.. my original plan is salah to bruno regardless of whatever salah score in gw1
Seeing lots of talk about people taking out their 5.5 mid or their 6 million striker. They are that price for a reason they are not going to score every week. By swapping to the one that scored might be points chasing
