Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.
Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.
Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

Evening all, just got home from hols – not seen any footy, but I hear United looked good today.
Great to see some proper scores from folk, well played!
82 here I think helped massively by Lukaku (c), Davies & Jonesy today. Does anyone know the average?

Nice scoring, Cookie, think Davies has dragged many out of the mire. I chose Danilo instead… meh.
I thought Lukaku (c) would’ve been almost unanimous today but several in my mini leagues don’t even have him.
Nice way to ease back out of your holiday. You do, in fairness, live in a holiday setting anyway!

Yeah same here James, thought he’d be more popular in my money ML but only 3 of us have him. Most captained overall though (DDG most Vice…).
I don’t have Kane but he looked very much in the game so I don’t think he’ll start slow as last year. Difficult to have both and keep Alli but needs must so I must figure a way to. Anyway, that’s to say that Luk is now a must have given form, fixtures and ownership %.
DdG (vc) is always widespread in ‘casual’ teams, haha, it almost feels amateur having DdG myself.
Sounds like Kane could’ve had a brace today, easily, though I didn’t watch that game. Keep.
Good score, by the way, mate: also a fellow private browser in Safari… thought I was the only one who didn’t want an embarassingly long list of FPL websites to be stored on my phone!

The stuborn Sane pick back fired but not the Miki one so happy with that too. Alli has proven that he needs very little to score so he’s a stayer. Spurs look very solid so Trippier can easily join Davies. Rose or not Rose I think Poch prefers Davies so he’s a keeper too.
Chelsea look dreadful so thinking Luiz may go, at least for now. Luis and him to Ake/Jones + Mane?

Good spot horse ! I decided to go without them from the off precisely for the busy schedule but as many said here they would score regardless so I feel I need some cover after all but yeah on do any rush moves. Cheers
I dont have any Liverpool cover and like the look of Salah or Firmino. I am thinking that I will save a transfer this week and make two the following week. But Liverpool vs Crystal Palace could well be a goal fest.

Division 2 for me and it was down to the wire vs FC Sanchez! 79 for me and 78 for him! That second Miki assist did it! Never thought I could get him after an 18-45 in his favour at the start of the day. Great effort mate.
I managed a win in Div 2 (82-77) but it looks like the Oppo is quite serious in this Div
The leagues you are all in were drawn out of the hat, except Div 4, that was for latecomers. There are a few good players in every league. It’ ll balance out after 5 years.

Fantastic score! A century on the first weekend. Dream stuff.
Overall very happy with my GW1. Lucked out a bit with 2 goal scoring defenders, but really only Jesus and KDB didn’t score well for me and that could have ended very differently. Think I will be top of my leagues after this week and likely to keep the same team next week and roll the sub over.
Pleased to see some other high scores this week
I am tempted by miki now but can’t have triple united coverage.
