Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10.

No early deadlines this week – not even a Saturday lunchtime kick-off. We don’t get started until 3pm on Saturday. Ah the good old days are back. Well for a week anyway.

We have five 3pm matches to get us under way, some more exciting than others it has to be said.

Brighton vs Wolves and Southampton vs Newcastle have the capability to send the most die-hard footy fan to sleep. Liverpool vs Cardiff will have most of us expecting to need a calculator to total our FPL points, while Bournemouth will be licking their lips at the thought of an afternoon’s shooting practice vs Fulham. Watford vs Huddersfield complete the quintet.

The evening match sees the Hammers & Arnie limp up to Leicester.

The Sabbath sees a Holy Trinity of matches – first up Sarri and his cheer leaders on the bench go to Burnley, while fellow Europa competitors Arsenal cross the Thames to face Palace.

The later game sees Fellaini present host Fellaini past at Old Trafford.

The best may yet be to come though as Spurs host Man City at their temporary housing shelter. Time for Kane or time for Kun?

Enjoy and go well.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 10 from all at FF247!

  1. Still waiting for my FPL kick-start incase anyone was wondering ….

    *yawn*

  2. Evening everyone,

My plan is to switch from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2, bringing in Mane and Kamara for Hojljberg and Mitrovic, downgrading Alonso and Shaw to help with the funds. Only looking to offload Shaw this gameweek (which’ll be done tonight as his price is going down) and then take out Alonso once he’s played Palace and Mitro after he’s faced Huddersfield, with Holjbjerg also going to make it a -4.

Who would be two good defenders to get with a budget of £9.2m? Already got TAA, Doherty and Wan B with Hennessey and Foster between the sticks. Looked at Bruno, Balbuena and Digne so far but your thoughts would be much appreciated!

    • *Højbjerg!

    • Duffy is one I’d think about.

Like you I’ve been pondering a 3/5/2 but will probably bottle it.

But I have Alonso/Rob/Mendy with no intention of breaking them up. The likes of Richarlison/Fraser/cheap strikers galore make it easier to have more expensive defenders.

I’m sure you’re aware but not having any of them could badly damage your OR.

      • Thoughts on Balbuena or Zabaleta? I like the look of their fixtures

        • The former definitely and yes, fixtures so good they’re edible.

        • Cheers kralin. I’m eyeing Peltier -> Balbuena soon and holding my second FT

I just wonder if it’s mostly going to be a bench player, if the extra 0.1 is worth it for Balbs or if Diop or Zabs will get the job done

    • Chilwell would be my first choice!

      • AT, I really like the look of Chillwell! That’s a good shout.

      • chilwell is awesome. remember he helped me out so much towards the end of last season. was a nice differential for me as no1 had him in the ML

      • I’ll counter Chilwell purely because Leicester can’t keep a clean sheet

        • They can’t, but great fixtures give them the a good opportunity to do so.

And he offers a pretty good attacking threat.

        • To compare Duffy and Chilwell – the former’s ahead in terms of clean sheets, goals scored and assists, though it’s early days. And I’m not sure how deliberate Duffy’s assist was.

However he’s cheaper and TS has a tight budget.

Chilwell creates a lot more attacking wise, admittedly.

    • Lovren and Diop for me

      • Hey Smash. Do you think Lovren will play a bit ? Diop is good choice.

        • I think he might be in a three way rotation with TAA and Gomez. However we get the Arsenal game to see

        • hey Smash. I see a 2-way rotation rather than a 3-way for the main part. Gomez is pretty untouchable other than the odd rotation.

      • Cheers guys, that’s some definite food for thought. It’s not ideal to get rid if Alonso (and I’m not even doing it until next gameweek anyway, so anything could happen between now and then) but I can’t face losing Hazard or Sterling and then I can’t face another repeat of this gameweek where I put my trust in Firmino for the captain armband when Mane and Salah ran riot!

        • You could lose Sterling after Southampton – assuming you have Kun for City attacking returns – allowing Mane / Salah in for the Fulham match and beyond. If Mane comes in then Mendy could as well, probably, to keep the City attacking quotient.

        • Very true. Think I’m best just doing the Shaw move now and then reassess next gameweek.

      • What made you go with Diop over balbuena or Zabs?
        Funds?

        • For me 0.1 cheaper than Balbuena. Zabs is just old now but has been playing

  3. Sitting on 65 with Tripp, Kane, and Kun to play.
AT, Pickford is really repaying our trust in him! smile
Anyone know what happened to Bellerin?

    • 35 here Pancho with the City boys only to go. Ederson, Mendy and Aguero (c). Have a lot riding on it.

    • pretty good pancho. 86 here with aguero and mendy to play. its only my 2nd fpl season and never reached 100 before on single gameweek. lets see how they both fair tomorrow.

      • upsetting me mate smile

        • sorry dreamers but you have been kicking my ass in the last 9 GWs 😉 let me win one for the team 😛

        • Dropped 150k places overnight.

Bank holiday here. Was at party n first night properly drinking in a bit (maybe). We had our third child about a month back so been a bit crazy.

Think I may sell Hazard tonight for Salah. ONly question is for who

        • belated congratulations dreamers. where do you reside from? my -8 hit kinda paid off.. i did think of removing moura to pereyra but ended up doing maddison. hope he has some good returns in the next few weeks.

hmm. u can downgrade a defender or ederson or maybe downgrade mitrovic

        • from Ireland mate

    • I couldn’t believe it today, Pancho! Two penalty saves in two games 😆

  4. Also, my mom’s team has a good shot at breaking the century mark tomorrow. I’ll never hear the end of it…

  5. Hi everyone,

Just had a thought on transfers and yellow cards. Can anyone remember how many yellow cards you need to have before suspension? I know it goes five, then ten, etc, with various deadlines, but I can’t remember what it is. Don’t want to bring someone in and then realise they’re only one away from suspension!

  6. Cracking transfers Cookie!

    • Here we are are

      • +1. had the same transfers out but never thought about barkley and ended up getting maddison
