Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. We’re back to live FPL and fantasy action, finally. You’ve had two full weeks to mull over your key transfer and captain decisions, which is sometimes a good thing, but sometimes not! Whatever you landed on it’s time to see if it was worth the wait and there’s a fair chance that many of your questions will be answered straight away as we begin with a bumper bunch at 3pm with no less than six games going at once. It almost feels nostalgic.

The six said games see Brighton host Leicester with Dunk hoping for 3 in 3, Everton hoping Warnock is in his usual laissez-faire mood, Fulham hoping Ranieri has packed his magic lamp against Hughes’ Saints, Woy hoping that Jose et al get stuck in traffic as usual and finally miss a home game, Watford hoping that Salah doesn’t do a repeat on them and West Ham simply hoping to keep the score down to something respectable against the Pep machine.

The 5.30pm game on Saturday should be a cracker, regardless of any fantasy interest, as Spurs host Chelsea.

Sunday sees us with just the two games as Bournemouth host Arsenal at 1.30pm before Wolves and Huddersfield play out Sky’s premium game of the weekend… yeah, we know #pass

But don’t worry if you fell asleep during that last one as Monday night will be… oh, hang on… Who the hell schedules these TV games?! Go back to sleep, it’s Burnley v Newcastle… #zzzz

The games in full…

Firstly thanks for all the great articles and advise as a result I’m on a best ever rank of 1190 but behind in my mini league. I’m thinking of playing my wildcard this wk. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey everyone – licking my wounds this week, like many of us, after scoring 54 & thinking what could have been! The best laid plans of mice, men & wolves…..! AAAAAAGGGGHHHH!

Okay, that’s not a bad score, in fact it’s quite run of the mill! But the week had started in such an optimistic way, that the whole banality and waste of it made me as grey as the weekend weather!

Having 2FTs, was going to take the advice of getting rid of Barkley & Success (there goes my chance of success, I thought, quite rightly!) for Jiminez & Kenedy, but when Mendy went down for the count, I knew it was my chance to get the missing link (ie. Robbo, och aye!) into my team, which wasn’t such a bad idea. Then I thought I would still go through with the 2 transfers that had been advised, but as late as possible, which at the time, would have given me small change of 0.1m – not bad I thought.
However, on Saturday morning (yeah – I DID manage to hold off that long !) due to drops (my team members) and rises (probably Jiminez I guess) I was unable to manage the said transfers without exchanging another player, as I was now 0.1 short!!! After much hesitation, I decided it must be the cheap and out of form Obi Wan for some cheap bench-fodder (went for Stanko from HUD)- all the time fearing for the future of my team, with not only 2FTs wasted, but a much-feared hit of -8 hovering over the ‘Squirrel City’ club! I felt like such a goose (Oz slang for an stupid, unthinking person) – especially since one of Kralin’s recent words were to take a more conservative approach – and to keep such point leakage to a minimum. All in all, I think the difference (counting Robbo’s presence and Mendy’s guaranteed absence, as well as the counter-performances of Chelsea and Wolves players) would not be greater than 1 or 2 points. However, I feel exceedingly imprudent and wasteful, and have reduced the strength of my backline, by allowing the promising Wan Bissaka to be lost for some 1 minute wonder! I feel like wearing a hair shirt and indulging in some flagellation! My pitiful team is linked for all to laugh at!
Then again, I may just be over-reacting about a rather minor occurence! (I mean, I’ve still got Kun, Arnie, Jimi, Salah, Hazard, Fraser, TAA, Robbo, Alonso, Doherty, Ederson & Faba, as well as the bench!
If you’ve read this post right to the end, thankyou for your indulgence! smile

    Afternoon all

This is my current team and I was trying to get sterling in somehow. It will require wholesale changes. Then i thought about sane as a possible alternative.

What’s the general consensus on him and which option do you think is best

    Cheers

No Jesus in the travelling squad to Lyon. Not fully fit. Means Aguero will likely start though.
