Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18.

Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek.

As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton.

Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm.

Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursday at 8pm.

And don’t forget that once the above GW ends on Thursday evening the next one begins on Saturday and that one is a double so get your planning sorted early doors!

The games in full…

Would u do a – 8 to do the following
Stones Antonio and struijk in for Lindelof Adams and Lowton? It would give me this?.

Hi all! Done a -4 already to do Justin/Wilson to Cresswell/Antonio. Despite the constant changes I’m still tempted to do Bench Boost….think it’s the right way to go?
As such I’m thinking another hit to change Walker-Peters as I don’t think he’ll get a CS against Leicester and fixtures aren’t great after. Currently thinking either Shaw or Coufal…..Coufal is obviously a double up on WH defence which I never thought I’d do, but fixtures for the dgw are brilliant, they have good fixtures after, both seem nailed and both seem to get more goals, assists and CS’s than my other options.
    What do you reckon?

I would just go with 11. Hits will negate the bench boost and they are all single GW players on the bench plus Johnstone (likely 2+2 only).

I’d prefer Shaw just to spread the coverage. With fixtures being cancelled left, right and centre I wouldn’t be bringing in so many players from the same team.

I have a lot of double ups and I was looking at going from 9 DGWers to 3 because of the possibility of Villa and Leeds were not having a double. I managed to get away with it but it’s my warning to you.

I’d prob disagree with the guys. A hit for a dgw player really is only -2 really and as you say WH have a nice dgw and fixtures after. Wudnt be against it at all.

        Cheers everyone!
Dreamers ….gotta admit I’m looking at it the same way as you at the moment!
Coufal seems to beat shaw on minutes played, assists, CSs and fixtures so would you go for the double up with Cresswell yeah?
Would you bench boost with that squad?

    Hey all,

This is me currently, I have 1 FT and 0.5itb intending to benchboost.

Going to use the 0.5 to swap button to johnstone so I have a playing 2nd keeper, but should I leave it at that? Choices are

    1) just get a 2nd playing keeper
    2) take a -4 and also swap JWP to either fornals or el gahzi ( or Amy other suggestions under 6.0)
    3) take a -8 and swap kane to vardy giving me 1.3 to upgrade JWP and 2nd keeper to doubles. Foden and fabianski maybe?

    Any thoughts appreciated

    Cheers
Was thinking i could change JWP to a double like fornals or el ghazi, or possibly swap kane to vardy. This would give me more funds to get a better 2nd keeper or even change
