Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18.

Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek.

As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton.

Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm.

Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursday at 8pm.

And don’t forget that once the above GW ends on Thursday evening the next one begins on Saturday and that one is a double so get your planning sorted early doors!

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Hello folks. I have 1 FT.

Is DCL -> Antonio the obvious move?

Leeds v Saints looking more likely to be rearranged

Thanks Smasher! You’re a champ! smile
Hope you’re going okay atm. Cheers!

      • Wanton says:

McCarthy could still have only one match in GW19, mind.

        • AJW says:

I had the Numbats all set up for a jolly DGW BB, but now (as the song goes…) ‘I just dunno what do with myself…’! Had been planning to swap Zoums for Cancelo & Raphinha for Gündo from City, but now, I’m grinding my teeth a little! I DO like the look of it though, even so!

Don’t want to beg for help, but just can’t see the forest for the trees atm!

Thanks in advance – hope you are all fine!
          smile

        • Wanton says:

Speaking of songs, have you noticed that you have a Seven Nation (Team) Army in your first 11? :wink2:
As for the team, you could do Zouma to City defender (and maybe get a DGW keeper), bring in Soucek and Coufal for KWP and Raphina, and set up the Numbats for a jolly DGW BB in GW26.

        • AJW says:

Hahaha thanks Wanton! Good pick up on the White Stripes reference! smile

        • AJW says:

          P. S. Luckily I left Joeleen(ton) out of my team! smile

My team for gw19. How do I get kdb in? 1ft 0.3m itb

Son to KDB. Kane to Antonio.

      I assume you’re BB’ing that lot??

Not sure how much value you have tied up in players, but the first thing I saw was Son & Robertson to KdB & Cancelo/Stones.

Whether it’s a good idea or not is a separate debate!

      • MrMajeika says:

Most likely going to bench boost yeah. Bought son at 9.4m and I reckon I would want him back at some point. Robbo only 0.1m

        • banjomaker says:

I would be with your team! To maximize the double week you could do the above suggestion, but I’d be slightly hesitant to lose all Spurs players. It’s really short-sighted, but another option would be Kane & Anguissa to Antonio & someone like Rashford/Pulisic.

        • MrMajeika says:

Yeah not sure I would want to lose both. Think I’m going to have to lose son though to get kdb

        • banjomaker says:

Yep, and if my maths are right, doing Son to KdB means you need to find 1.9 from somewhere. To go back to my original suggestion, at least downgrading Robertson leaves you with enough to get someone decent.

        • banjomaker says:

Transferring OUT Son & Robertson, for a hit, when one of them has a double is prone to bite you though!!!

        • MrMajeika says:

Yeah that’s prob my best option. Have to wait and see what happens with the fixtures. If city end up not having a dgw makes it a lot easier for me

Burnley. Though be aware Dyche quite often talks up players returning and then they don’t

    Stone Frog says:

Like many I’m wondering whether to try and get KDB/some City or not. 1FT and 0.0ITB. One way is Son and Robertson to Stones and KDB (-4), but would lose 0.4 on Son and may want him back. The other is a involving Kane, Lookman and DCL out to KDB, Antonio and Brewster (-8!) or a Kane and Lookman to Sterling and Brewster (-4). Ultimately it may be best just to use the FT for DCL to Antonio and forget City. Am leaning towards just DCL out?
