Laca and Billing to Astro and Richy, Rash and Pereyra or Astro and Pereyra?
I got Pogba and Felipe already

What do you think about Sterling keep or sell?
    He’s my only City coverage

He’s my only City cover as well and I’m worried he might get rested next GW… I’d like to keep but Hazard is better I think… Depends who you’d sell him for

      • Wafflez says:

Was think Hazard actually, but no City coverage scares me a little bit

        • viktorsjolin says:

Salah to Hazard? He has two tough matches coming up

        • AJW says:

Trade Sterlo for KDB? He’s fresh and coming back from injury. Plus City will want to pull their fingers out next time – perhaps he’s a good show? Keep an eye on the team sheets etc. (i.e. keep your eyes peeled and your ears close to the ground!). Or consult one of the 3 Wise Men (Innit, Cookie, Kralin & co. – perhaps there are more likely to be 33 wise men …and women!) smile

        • AJW says:

Hey Wafflez, I see you’re really well ranked but there are 82 people on Christmas Island ahead of you! Is FPL the national sport or something? In any case, for such a small place, you guys do exceedingly well! Good on you! smile

        • gkw says:

From what I’ve read, neither KDB nor David Silva looked back to their best yet and Sterling was lousy. If you want City coverage (and thinking long-term I think you should!), Sane looks the best bet. Otherwise Hazard and Pogba are sorely tempting midfield alternatives..

        • Wafflez says:

Hey AJW I’m actually from Sweden the Christmas Island is a something from Twitter. Alot of the FPL accounts there joins the pick Christmas Islands for some reason

        • AJW says:

Hahaha! Good on you! Well I think its about time to launch an appeal to any real Christmas Islanders out there amongst us! Are you part of the lucky 82 who are actually ahead of Wafflez? Happy Christmas Wafflez(sorry I am ignorant on how to spell ‘Gut yule’ correctly- too far away from my computer to access internet sources! Have a good holiday period anyway!

    Advice, please, folks!
I’m thinking of taking my very first hit(s) of the season. My first move (I have 1FT) will almost certainly be Alonso >> Pereira to act ahead of likely price changes and take advantage of Pereira’s next fixture Car (h) which is better than Alonso’s Cry (a). That would swell my bank to 2.7m. Second move would probably be Laporte >> TAA, at cost -4 if I do it this GW. I don’t see Laporte getting a CS at Sou (a) and am gung-ho on TAA’s prospects of a CS and goals vs Ars (h). That would make 3.6m itb, which I could then use to upgrade Brooks >> Pogba. That would cost another -4 but Pogba looks great right now and has Bou (h) next. I’d then have a selection headache over whom to drop, probably Auba if I want to bet the farm on a Liverpool CS.
Any advice and suggestions most welcome!!

      Oops, forgot the graphic:

      • Smash says:

Huh a -8 to bench Auba. Plus I’m not sure TAA is a better bet when he plays Arsenal while Laporte is at Southampton plus you are taking hits for defenders and then to give you a benching headache. I’m lost

        • gkw says:

I’d play Alonso and Laporte anyway, so it’s only the Pogba move that would bring a benching headache. I can see both Robbo and TAA down the flanks doing plenty of damage to Arsenal’s dodgy defence, as well as possibly keeping CSs. Pereira is also in with a great chance of a CS vs Cardiff. And Chelsea and Man C seem to have stopped keeping CSs. But, still, I know that unneeded hits are rash. Thanks to all for discouraging me – I think that’s what I wanted smile

      TheDreamers says:

Gkw- just don’t see that paying back. It feels like moves that are not needed so a -8 doesn’t make sense to me.

      • AJW says:

Otherwise, he could go from Alonso to TAA as an enabling move. That would provide a lot of lovely lolly for something else! I dunno really – but this could cut out all those intermediate moves and cost you less! I’ve personally made too many hasty trades this year (my second in FPL) and feel I should in fact put up with what I’ve got for at least 2 GWs – so don’t know if I am providing sound advice ATM! You’ll work something out – just shout out ‘Kralin! Please help! I’m stuck in a well of my own digging! ‘

      • gkw says:

Thanks, both. Right now TAA and Pereira are the same price (5.1m) so I’d raise 1.8m from trading Alonso for one of them and 0.9m if I trade Laporte for the other. My hunch is that these two trades could pay off, given form and fixtures, but that I should wait till next GW before splashing the cash from them.

      Vinci says:

I am skepitkal as well. -8 by getting rid of Chelsea playing Cry, and having to bench Auba…
It looks like barely beneficial moves… except for getting Pogba. But are we sure that Pogba will bring 8 points more than Auba?

I believe that I would simply do the Alonso to Perira move, and reassess next week.

    Any suggestions here, got 2FTs!

      Vinci says:

      Tough one.
I would globally go in the direction Alonso, Sterling–>Salah, Digne. But fixture-wise it is not the best time…
Maybe the Alonso to Digne move anyway?

If you prefer hold that, you could maybe do Zab–>Femenia. You’d get rid of double West Ham in defense, while Watford rotates correctly with Wan Bissaka..

      inittowinit says:

Sterling to Salah and Alonso to either Holebas or Digne for me Zed. I know Alonso out is never popular but his numbers as of late have been poor. I saw the game and he was about as much of a threat to their defence as I was sat on the couch with two broken ribs and a glass of red in my hand.

The other thing I’d possibly consider is killing Auba with a view to also bringing in Hazard in one fell swoop next week but with them having Fulham up next I guess you’d probably be better off keeping him.
