Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…

Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.

3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.

The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.

Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!

We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.

The games in full…

Is everyone on the Pukki train? I’m still at the station.

Not owning Lundstram has severely hit my ML ranking. Hope next week I could bounce back with some plan. Have 2 FTs, hence enough to ponder about.

Guys? I’m in the main Ff247 league but not the regulars? I have no friends and I’m banished from all leagues? Please invite me to some league with pretty ladies. :worthy:

Hope everyone is having a great GW. Sitting on 52 with Jota to play.

    How are these moves:

    1) Pérez out for Martial
    2) VVD out for Lundstram
    3) Dendoncker out for McGinn

    Or just leave it?

    2FT … 0 ITB.

Double Liverpool at the back is increasingly not looking like the way to go. Everybody else has a good fixture next week but form over fixture I guess? See how Martial gets on tonight?

      • Gavy says:

+1 if martial dose start, or doesn’t look dangerous I’d just do 1. I’d be worried about king next week

      • Kralin says:

But for Adrian’s farcical error Liverpool would (probably) have kept a CS this week; in addition Robertson was very close to scoring. I think two Liverpool at the back is worth persisting with unless you need to move money around to enable someone / something else. Arsenal games at Anfield have been pretty good affairs for Liverpool in recent years. I’ve no idea if Arsenal have improved their defence much but you’d fancy the Liverpool full-backs to fashion a chance or two.

With the team above I’d focus on Perez and take 2FT into the following week – unless Digne is injured.

Real dilemma this week. Not sure if I want to keep two Pool defenders or not. It wouldn’t surprise me if they grab a clean sheet! Adrian in net certainly decreases their appeal though.

Might depend on Digne’s injury. Very tempted by Rashford but let’s see how he goes on tonight.

      AT,

your dilemma is the same as mine.

2 Liverpool defenders, Robbo and Gomez (Gomez was always a bit of gamble trying to get 2 on cheap to allow Salah,Sterling, Kane). I now £2mln itb, having transferred Perez out for Ceballos last night, plus one transfer still left.

So Gomez to Digne is tempting me, but that ‘tired’ injury on Digne doesn’t sound right……

      • AT says:

        Harry,

Yeah just wait on that injury. The lure of Liverpool’s fixtures after the Arsenal match are certainly tempting me to ride it out.

Although I think if I had Gomez I’d probably get rid to be honest!
