Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…
Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.
3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.
The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.
Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!
We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.
The games in full…

I’m trying to ignore the bandwagons and knee jerk transfers this season. This is my team for GW3, looking at it objectively its not bad right? I have 2 FTs and 0.5 ITB but not sure who needs to go. Ceballos and Pukki look great but are they foolish moves driven by FOMO.
I knew jerked on Ceballos. He came in for Barkley who didn’t play at all yesterday and I did it before the price more so I am putting it down as a smart move.
In terms of Pukki I have a 2nd ft, thinking I could do king to him with king up against city next. Sitting on my hands with this more until Friday though. Norwich have Chelsea and city over the next 3 weeks keep in mind
Same thoughts here Gavy. Wait & see.
Great non-bandwagon team.
Are you captaining Sterling? Don’t fancy Kane?
Great non bandwagon team in 35 points. 😉
I will captain Kane or Sterling, flip a coin ha
I’d sit on it and do nothing mate. I’ve 2ft and 0.5itb. Just because we’ve the 2ft doesn’t mean they have to be used. 😆
Apologies was replying to specialk 186
What would you guys suggest i tried shifting pepe last night couldnt think of a move now he’s lost value same as fraser i have 0ft and 1.0 itb what would you guys suggest any move now would be a hit and dont think its bad enough to warrant wc
Hey guys. I just did something, don’t know how stupid it looks but I took out Salah for Mané.
Still have 1ft plus 0.7m in bank need to move on king & Fraser. Any tips please??
Cheers
fraser to a 5.5 and king to firmino for a hit otherwise roll the ft and change next week?
He has 3 Liverpool players already. Salah to Mane was a bit of a sideways move, try to avoid chasing last week’s points. I guess, you should wait for further news on Digne’s injury and see from there.
Thanks Guys. I’ll wait on Digne’s news so
Hey guys!
Oh, what a poor GW2, especially after crazy GW1! Only 2 returns from Sterling and Digne. Sitting with 38 with Maguire and Jota to play.
I would like to use my WC after GW4, but need your help. I have 2 FT and 0 itb.
Looks like there is nothing serious with Digne and Zinchenko, also Ryan has a great next fix and VVD will be in my XI. Kane surely will be my captain choice in GW3. Of course I’m not going to change Salah>Mane.
Some doubts about Perez, but he has 2 easy fixes so I could give him a chance. King disappoints a little despite goal.
Cantwell seems like one of the best value transfers now. KDB is tempting but I can’t afford him without hits.
some thoughts? Thank you!
At this moment in time salah to mane is a rash decision unless you need the 1.0ml to get KDB you would be looking at either downgrading kane or a 8pt hit as KDB has gone up, but your changes would look something like king/jota to a 4.5 forward salah to mane then perez to KDB then gain o.1 elsewhere but can’t see your bench so depending if you have someone that is 6.6 ^ you will be taking two hits
Thank you very much for reply!
Oh, that’s my bad, my bench – Button, Lundstram, Hayden, Dendoncker.
Yep, I agree that Salah>Mane is knee-jerk move, may be I’ll downgrade Kane after GW3 for KDB and Martial. Cantwell may increase in price tomorrow and this is dilemma – to make early or late transfer :dash:
Mane tends to be streaky. Scored three in the last two including the super cup. It may not be a bad move for the next few games. Although Salah may be good long term.
