Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…
Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.
3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.
The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.
Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!
We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.
The games in full…

Morning all. Up and down start to the season for me. 2 FTs and no idea what to do here. Looking at Perez, Fraser, Zinchenko to possibly get the boot. Don’t see a great way to get KDB in and really unsure on Pukki – is everybody jumping on? Thanks for any advice.
Perez or Fraser to Ceballos?
Think zinchenko you can keep, still a cheap way into city’s defence. I would personally prefer to keep fraser over perez, although have a case for getting rid of both. Going for one of mount or ceballos looks good from either. Not sure on Pukki too – still have a few hard fixtures to come. He’s scored 4 goals so far, but realistically don’t expect him to be scoring more than 15 goals in a season. Which means he has 11 goals left in him for the next 36 games? Haha, don’t know if you can look at it that way… but that’s my thoughts.
All those switching to Lundstram as their playing def, please have a look at his next 10-11 fixtures first. Awful
Don’t hate. 😉
I brought him in the last gameweek and he gave me 14 points. He can sit on my bench all days of the week. HEhe.
And lol you’re right about his bloody fixtures. But he’s more an enabler.
Hey Raz. Good scoring from the start. I know mate. 14 points are going to lure many to get him into their teams. Some might want to play him as 3rd or 4th def and bulk up their mids/forwards. Wouldn’t want him to score 20 from the next 10 though..
+1 Will likely do ef all now until the end of season
I know right..Boon in disguise for us no-owners?? :hippo:
Plays up in midfield and is at 4.0 so would be popular irrespective of fixtures !
I took a hit for him the last gameweek. How genius am I? :hippo:
Why on earth did you do that?!? 😆
Because I knew there was a Lundstram monsterscore incoming?
No, I needed to get rid of Barkley asap. Martial was the best option at the time. So downgraded Zischenko to Lundstram and did Barkley to Martial. Let us see tonight if that choice can be justified.
Predicted Risers:
Pukki
Pickford
Lundstram
Streling
Predicted Fallers:
Gundogan
Lovren
Kean
Delph
Gray

Did Perez to Ceballos last night, still got 1 FT so gonna sit on that for now.
Hoping Moura gets enough game time as he’ll score the points.
Watch Perez score two versus Villa, Friday night. :hippo:
Would be amazing since he’s facing Sheffield Saturday.
I’m adapting a chant from the communal satanic ritual that I attended yesterday morning:
[distant murmur] “Nuno — no — don’t play Donckyyy…”
Kindly repeat after me:
[growing momentum] “Nuno — no — dOn’t play Donckyyyyy…”
It’’s what Lundstram wants! For him this time:
[baby and a goat screaming in the background] “Nunooo — NO — don’t plAy DoOoncky!”
There’s almost no chance, I know; desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess.
I had a similar chant for Jota. Alas, it hasn’t worked for either of us .
Wolves v United
Time for a Martial clinic. :hippo: :drinks:
BBC suggesting he’ll be playing at the top of a 4-2-3-1!
