Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…

Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.

3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.

The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.

Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!

We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.

The games in full…

Thoughts on these moves tonight. Robertson/Perez/King to Wan Bis/Martial/Pukki for a – 4. Will keep VVD for Pool defensive cover.

Evening everyone. Not watching the game tonight but by the sounds of it Wolves aren’t doing the greatest. I’ve got three names on my chopping block this week with Siggy,Jota and Wilson in that order possibly leaving.

I’ve got 2 fts and 0.5 itb. I’m thinking Kane in should be one of my moves but I’m really unsure what I should do!

Siggy/Jota/Wilson —> Ceballos/Kane/Adams, just off the top of my head smile Means you wouldn’t have Pukki though, and as you know, no Pukki, no party! smile

      • MattX says:

Cheers Zed, Kane and Ceballos were two I am considering. Why would you say Adams? Just out of interest. I’d love Pukki and I’m annoyed with myself I didn’t leave him in my final draft haha

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Cause then you’d only have 6m for the Jota replacement, right? Adams is not a bad punt at that price imo, he’s looked decent and has had chances to score already… smile

I honestly think getting Kane into a side set up not to have three premium players is tricky. You may need a wildcard to carry out that operation successfully – unless you start wildly swinging the axe and chopping down the defence. Nice to see a side with Pereira in.

It’s a real bloody shame Lundstram isn’t actually classified as a mid as that would be enormously helpful. Anyhow, I digress.

You’ve one of those sides where giving people another week almost seems like the best move. Having said that, why not replace Siggy with KdB and downgrade Wilson to accommodate that?

      • MattX says:

Good points Kralin. I did think briefly about leaving the team this week but then I decided Siggy has done SFA so had to go. Him to KdB is interesting though. I could do Siggy and Wilson to KdB and Pukki

        • Kralin says:

You could indeed. I’m not so sure Pukki’ll get you much – compared to Wilson – but KdB seems to have his mojo back. I’m looking into the chasms below 6.5m strikers in order to enable KdB – Zed’s hot for Adams, I’m more in the Ings camp. One of those geezers may get you more than Pukki – though not a price rise, alas.

        • MattX says:

Yeah I’d be more in the Ings camp to be honest. That’s why I’m interested in Zeds reasoning behind Adams

        • Kralin says:

The dreaded metrics stack up well for Ings. I’m not under huge illusions about a 6m striker so will take anything, frankly: for me it’s about KdB, for you more Kane I guess. Spurs have really good fixtures and I’m sure they will obliterate Newcastle.

    I have been thinking:
    Wood – Puki
    Vardy – Kane
    Robertson – 4.5 defender

I could do something else and get Perez – Martial.

    Thanks
