Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…

Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.

3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.

The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.

Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!

We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.

The games in full…

  1. A nice 1 all here would be perfect!

    Goals from shaw and Otto

  2. Boom! Martial scores. Seems the Lundestram/Martial hit paid off. laugh

  3. All the players I want… can I have them all please? Might be going 5 in midfield at this rate.

    • Having similar feelings, Martial looks great, what a great finish that was!!

    • Could do with a few injuries at this point to help with that… :buba_phone: 😀

    • Unfortunately a midfield of Salah Mane Sterling KDB and Martial is not affordable. However 4/5 could be with sacrifices elsewhere.

      • 4 plus Ceballos. Maybe I should wildcard now after all… is that crazy

      • Think Mane is surplus to requirement in there but we’ll see, he’s just so expensive… (what I mean is that 2 of Salah/Sterling/Mane is affordable)

  4. After a bad start, I think I’m on a wildcard tonight smile

    • Depends on your team, how does she look?

      • I already took a hit yesterday to do Fraser, Wilson, Perez to KDB, Pukki, McGinn. Now I’m considering also downgrading Kean to a random filler to upgrade McGinn to Martial, and I’ll also have the opportunity to change my defense if I want to

        • Aaah, ok ignore my comments below, didn’t realize you already made transfers… I think it’s ok still, no need for WC imo although if you want to then that’s another matter! You could get Martial in a couple of weeks’ time too without a WC

    • Your defence and bench are solid, so may just be worth the odd hit in the next couple of weeks to sort out the five attackers who arn’t Sterling or Salah.

    • It is not necessary to wc! Looking at your team 1 transfer is a must, 3 if you must get rid of Bournemouth players. The tree just needs some shaking not cutting it down.

      • That’s true front three, already took the hit actually, the wildcard would just allow to be happier with my team. Especially Moise Kean I’m concerned about.

    • No WC mate, same team I have (well had) except I have Digne instead of Kean… unlucky with Lundstram but who would have guessed (other than Raz)… I took a 3 transfer -4 mini WC and I’m (rather) happy, although Martial would be nice

    • Liverpool may have some fixtures moved around GW17/18. Anyone still holding a wildcard may be thankful.

  5. Wolves not really showing anything going forward, Jota goal seems very far away at this point, hope Nuno gives ‘em a proper talking to at halftime! :big_boss:

  6. Jimenez hovering close to the trap door in my team..
