Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…
Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.
3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.
The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.
Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!
We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.
The games in full…

Aston Villa v Bournemouth
Rico not playing. Double shit.
Rico benched.
Go Wilson. My cappo.
Kean benched again. Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I can’t believe this! What the bloody hell??
Glad to finally see someone else with Kean. Yeah, I guess modern football is benching the players you paid most for. Lolz.
They say he has to adapt to the EPL. Well throw him in the deep.Let him start. You can always change and sub. I mean preseason and the first game they barely scored. Yeah, let us stick to that formula. Hope Watford kick their ass now. Oooh wait,no, I have Digne. SIghs.
He hasn’t had pre-season so that will probably be why.
Talking about Everton GeePee,not Moise Kean. Everton have barely scored any goals. I figured they brought him in for the goals but that will be hard if you don’t play the mofo. :hippo:
Yeah but if he’s not really had preseason, he’s not really ready.
I fear you might be right. Even so, I reckon he’ll still do better than Calvin. 😉
I don’t really buy into that, GP. The guy is 19,it’s not like he needs 2 months of preparation to be fit.
To get some automatismes with the other players, maybe, but the best way is actually to play him. And they struggle so much to score indeed at the moment… I mean I was super confident he would start this week, I don’t really understand the manager’s logic.
Hope he comes on after 45 minutes. The fans seem pretty pissed as well. :biggun:
Common misconception that Frenchie with respect.
There’s naturally fit and that’s elite level football fit.
I can understand why he’s not just thrown in and I think it may be because he’s not physically ready. That’s not even taking into account that he also needs to adapt to a new and much more demanding league than Serie A.
Just because Everton need goals doesn’t mean he’s immediately the answer. Hopefully in short time he will be.
