Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…
Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.
3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.
The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.
Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!
We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.
The games in full…

Well, I have the right first goal scorer and the right score for the first match.
It can only go downhill from here.
Same here Frenchie. Good competition. Good luck :good:
Good luck to you too!
Damn it Auba, poor return.
Now Salah HT..
Might prove better than Kane though. Fingers crossed for Kane brace again.
Poor return? He’s on 7 points and if you capped him times two. At least your striker plays, hehe. Moise Kean doesn’t even start.
He was my only punt at the start of the season, and omg what a failure it was.
An injured Haller’s annoying: my main (and also relatively expensive) initial punt. Fingers crossed that his ‘knock’ isn’t very serious; I signed him for West Ham’s next few easy fixtures.
However, from a more positive perspective, his absence means that I’ll have Dendoncker replace him and therefore for some minor MNF interest.
All of the best for the 15:00 matches and beyond!
James, Haller -> Barnes could be a great switch and frees up 1m! What I wouldn’t give for an extra £1m…
I’ve just looked and that could be Adam Smith -> Zinchenko or AWB. That’s some upgrade there!
I’m keen on keeping Haller if it’s realistic to, but if he’s likely to miss the Norwich (H) match in GW4 and beyond then I’d be very open to that sort of switch, especially with these 2 FTs to hand! Not having Zinchenko does worry me; Man City will keep many more clean sheets.
Cheers for your insight! Oh, by the way, don’t forget: you need to (re)link your own FPL team.
Joshua King goal. Grats if you kept him
Wilson assist
How did Barnes and Ceballos look today? Next couple of fixtures for both could be better, but then improve.
Both looked good in their own way. Barnes is scrappy and physical. Gave Ars defenders a tough match. Ceballos is silky smooth and fun to watch!
On ceballos:
He looked great from a non fpl point of view, man of the match. But at 5,5 i think he could be ok, 3 bonus points comming his way, i think he would get those bonus points even without that ass. He could be a bonus magnet…
Ceballos very impressive. Two assists (and three bonus the last I checked).
Barnes will always score Premier League goals.
Digne assist. Boom. :hippo:
Got him and King, so a nice start for me!
Same here.. was consider doing a switch to Lindstrom and Rashford.. not anymore.
