  1. Soyu or whatever the Turkish guy from Leicester je called, is out injured. Morgan taking his place.

    • Nevermind… It’s the other way around. :big_boss: :big_boss:

      • Oh Raz you scared me that’s a transfer I do not want to make

        • Yeah, my head is all over the place… Hehe. But I corrected myself.

  2. Not sure if its been said yet but Takumi Minamino (pools new player) has been added at 6.5m. 42 goals in 136 games for Salzburg. Usually plays as a wing, read klopp might make him a CF or possibly a midfielder due to injuries.

Anyone think hes worth a punt? He also wont play any champions league games, so if pool go out of the fa cup his premier league time could be higher.

    • Hell no. Klopp didn’t even want him.

      • Do you have a source for that startling piece of information, Raz – an interview, for example?

      • Ya raz, I’d want you to back that up as well. Pretty sure klopp is delighted to have him. As per Liverpool Echo.

      • With a 7.25 mill buyout clause triggered we get a player having played in the CL and scored. Worth 20 mill and covers every position across the front 3.
Pictures and videos of Klopp chatting to him in German with both having big smiles.
        Having a laugh Raz?

    • Nope he’s a squad player. Who’s place is he going to take Salah, Firmino or Mane he has no chance

      • Ox and keita out. I’ll pop right in somewhere in the mids

        • Fabio also missing the new few weeks.

        • Doubt very much he plays in midfield three. Especially being a bit out of position and new to league he’s back up

    • Not worth a punt just yet.

However my understanding (gleaned from an article or two I read when he signed) is that he can play in the UCL.

    • I do not think he’s worthj being bought now, for sure.
But from the couple of CL games that I have watched, he is the hell of a great player.

      • Hes set to start tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how he slots in if Salah and mane start. (Dont think both will though) possibly neither

      • He’s looked fantastic in the CL games I’ve seen of him. Perfect back up and eventual successor to one of Mane / Salah, as and when that is required.

  3. Evening everyone. Which one of these would you go for?

    A. Henderson, Kabasele and Lucas Moura out -> Fabianski, Robbo and 4.4 mid or less in
    B. Baldock, Kabasele and Lucas Moura out-> Robbo, Balbeuna and 5.2 mid in

    • Both feel a bit odd if I’m being totally honest. Put a name on the 5.2 mid in B?

      • Yeah I really don’t know what to do with my team right now. I’ve got 2fts and 0.1 itb.

      • Chalobah? (assuming it’d be the 5th mid). He’s flagged right now but he played (and scored and assisted) today and seems to be playing further up the pitch behind the striker.

    • I think I’d do it in stages rather than take a hit.

Looks like there’s a C in there somewhere where Fab and TAA and a cheap mid features.

      • The Trent option leaves me with 4.6 for a 5th mid but I need to sell Baldock to do it.

  4. Hey guys. Kane to who? Have Vardy and Ings.

    • Rather than looking at that transfer in isolation I’d look at what else you want to do and how best to prepare for the forthcoming weeks.

In your shoes I’d ensure I could go for a third Liverpool player – TAA, for example.

      • Yeah I would either upgrade elsewhere or get Jimenez.

      • Cheers Kralin. Yes mate. My plan is to get TAA for Rico as well. But, the -4 is kind of holding me back. I know long term wise the hit is going to repay me. Although, next two Pool fixtures are not good on papers for a CS.

    • Abu if your looking for a close like for like. Karlin makes a good point too

    • Dominic will do the job

  5. I totally understand the reasons for early transfers whether it be a player with a long term injury, a suspension or a price drop in the selling player or price increase in a player being purchased.

I also get it as not too many first team players will be playing in the fa cup 3rd round.

But there is a semi final 1st leg this midweek where I would imagine that Manchester United, Manchester city, Leicester city and Aston villa will be playing their strongest teams.

Just offering some food for thought.

    Jamie

    • Really good points. I’d also advise staying away if possible from price rise / fall prediction sites as what you’re being led by is not necessarily going to help your team. It can have the flavour of a stampede for the exit.

Other side I suppose is just be reconciled to having to take a hit to pay for impetuosity.

  6. Hello one and all – am determined not to enact my GW moves until after next GW, so as to have 2FTs – to limit hits; I WAS planning to exchange Rashers, Haller + Alli to DCL, Ings + Mané, but DCL went up in price & now I’m (to say it politely…) shafted!
BUT I have a cunning plan, as Baldrick would say to Blackadder (AND now see this classic reply……”Yes Baldrick, let us not forget that you tried to solve the problem of your mother’s low ceiling by cutting off her head!”) which is to do:
    – Rashford/Alli/Soy-sauce > DCL/Mané/Holgate (or Cathcart or Webster or someone else semi-promising!) thus having a really nice looking team …then getting rid of Haller (experimental at best!) for Ings. Losing a total of -4 points in hits over 2 or 3 weeks!
It all sounds so logical and it means I have the much valued triple Pool for basically the rest of the year! smile It does all depend on there not being too much of a rush on Mané and DCL (and selling of Alli!) twixt now and then!
Hope my plans do not involve the FPL equivalent of Balldrick’s mother’s decapitation!
Bye for now and enjoy your Sunday!
    AJW smile

    • All being well that doesn’t sound bad at all AJW.

      • Thanks for your seal of approval GP! Them’s the plans in any case – hope I’m able to carry them off (out?)!
How are you doing up there old mate? Speak to you soon!

    • I think I’d be half-inclined to keep Haller if I had him (and hasn’t his recent form been ok?); other than Fab he’s the one WHU player who has tickled my fancy. Having said all that, WHU have truly dire fixtures after the DGW and the DGW doesn’t look that much a banker for them.

      • Yes – post GW 24 the only Hammers I own will be in the toolkit and the one sitting in goal! Haller Def goes b4 round 25! Btw how are you Kralin? Sorry for the abbreviations but am using a semi smartphone! smile

        • But then again we’ll see how things go before acting!

        • ‘semi smartphone’ is the best description I’ve heard yet of mobile phones.

All is well with me and I hope it is with you.
