Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 22. Happy New Year! Coming thick and fast these game-weeks aren’t they? And this one is our first DGW of the season with Spurs and West Ham having two matches each. It is their rearranged derby that concludes our GW on Thursday, but before then we have three days of action. Today sees five matches – the lunchtime fun sees a south coast battle as Brighton host Bournemouth. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then at 3pm we have the Liverpool attack vs the Burnley defence, Leicester welcoming Huddersfield and Newcastle travelling to Stoke. The evening fun takes us to Goodison with Rooney inviting his old United mates over for a drink. And extras.

Tuesday sees four further matches in the evening – Palace go to Southampton, Swansea host Spurs, West Ham and West Brom meet and Man City pound Watford.

The best is yet to come. Wednesday sees just one match, but what a match as Arsenal meet Chelsea at the Emirates.

Our New Year extravaganza then comes to a conclusion with Spurs’ and West Ham’s double date at Wembley.

Time to go large, score well and enjoy!

It seems Alonso is the latest must have guy. Would Christensen & Son to Alonso & Lingard make sense? I can’t help being slightly worried at Lingard’s minutes.

ps Kane better bloody start tonight

He’s a very good player and is certainly bringing in the points. He isn’t ‘must-have’ as there is always more than one way to skin a cat. You sort of answer your own question there with Lingard concerns.

No need to rush anything. You still, I assume like most of us, have half a team to play tonight!

      • banjomaker says:

Yea the ‘must have’ comment was slightly tongue-in-cheek. It seems every week we have a new ‘must have’.

Yup, got Adrian, Ogbonna, Arnie, Son, Alli & TC Kane to go. Hoping / praying for a Kane brace minimum.

So long as Mhiki is out of favour I see Lingard playing. He’s had a pretty decent run and keeps delivering so I don’t see why he’d be dropped

Looking at a plan over the next week or so. I like the look of it but am open to suggestions of other players or what order to bring them in. It’s bang on the money so any price changes will scupper it.

Nice looking teams, but both will leave you a selection headache every week! I’d be inclined to get a budget player in there, to free up some spare change and make choosing your team a bit easier!

      Mr Bean says:

Wouldn’t be looking at Carroll or Arnie long term personally,

As banjo said, at least one budget player will allow you to upgrade elsewhere.

      • SAFs_hairdryer says:

Carroll is in there as my budget forward instead of Quaner or DCL who probably won’t get many minutes now. Arnie is left over from this DGW.

I’m only really looking to get in Alonso and Mahrez but need funds from elsewhere

You cant play them all every week might as well downgrade someone to have some spare cash and easier team to rotate.

    Any thoughts on this team?

    1.)Next GW: Eriksen to Mahrez
    2.)Following GW: Son to Lingard
    3.)Folowwing GW: Firmino to Aguero

Or maybe i should take a hit to do no.2 and 3
