Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25
From one DGW to another, in quick succession, we may have to get used to this.
Leeds book-end this one by kicking off our GW on Friday night away at Wolves @ 8pm.
Southampton are the other team with a double and they begin theirs on Saturday @ 12:30 at home to Chelsea. Jeff then has the excitement of Burnley vs West Brom to report on @3pm before we get to a derby 6-pointer as Everton visit Anfield @ 5.30pm. Fulham and Sheffield United see us out on Saturday @ 8pm, if anybody can be arsed. They won’t be.
The West Ham Cup Final kicks us off on Sunday as Spurs visit the dildo laden lot @ 12pm, Villa welcome Leicester @ 2pm, City will destroy Arsenal @ 4.30pm and Newcastle go to Old Trafford @ 8pm.
Our ‘normal’ GW ends on Monday as Brighton host Palace @ 8pm.
Our extended GW ends on Wednesday as the doublers of Leeds and Saints meet @ 6pm.
The games in full…

1 FT and 2.4 ITB
Taking a hit is inevitable. What is the best way to bring Kane?
Ings->Kane and Pope->McCarthy work?
Yes Hammerfan. All I need is to find 0.2 for the Ings↔Kane move.
Maybe the best way to do it is not to do it.
So true Kralin. Very often, doing nothing and not overthink is the best way.
I still have my WC but can’t see a reason to use it now.
That said, if I do, what changes could be done?
Played my wc last week and looking at doing a -4
Mane to Barnes
Bamford to vardy
Am I mad?
Not in the least bit mad. I think those are logical moves.
Cheers kralin
Good ole Bruno peno
It looks like another mass captaincy failure if Bamford blanks again on Wednesday.
With the current 3 BPs Bruno could end up the top weekly scorer from the possible (C) candidates.
The 3 above and 2 below went with Bamford as cap. So makes no difference really
A Bamford goal and we are ok
Plus a cheeky assist would ne nice
Oh yeah I want a goal fest in that game
Plenty of options for TC next week. Anyone tempted to TC DCL? Those fixtures!!
Him or Kane defentily
Going to captain dcl with bb
Not going that route myself but Kane, DCL, Gundo, Sterling, Bruno or evening Watkins are good picks.
Bruno seem to be under the radar for some reason. All good options
Watkins looked lost without Grealish this afternoon
Many smart managers have used their TC chip earlier in the season quite successful with scores at around the 60 mark.
DGWs are just an illusion and very often end not as planed. The trick is to go with calculated risk and pick the best player with the best fixture in any given GW.
Have they? I’ve not seen any. Saw some KDB ones for last double
By ‘smart managers’ do you mean ‘I did it successfully’?
No Kralin, I wish. Just browsing and observing some of the top players from time to time.
Who do you classify as ‘the top managers’, as a matter of interest?
Usually the top 50, but they change very often. One thing is for sure, most of the time luck plays a big part of choosing the best one at the best time.
Id rather throw by TC on a player playing twice just for the probability.
Hadn’t really considered that option, but you’ve piqued my interest.
Spurs have the best fixtures, I think anyway, but they didnt perform that well today.
I still have my TC chip left, and am thinking of using it for dgw26
If I play the TC it will be either on Kane or Son.
Everyone can have a bad day, so let’s not judge by today’s events.
yeah, agreed Ivan. Spurs came up against a tough team.
Need to work out how to get Kane, if I do, but have to sacrifice Son, if I do.
Hammer, I need to decide whether to take a hit or to play the WC and refurbish my team. In all cases he must be included.
Ivan – who, Kane or son? I have Son, and will have to ditch him to get Kane!!! (unfortunately!)
Hard to say. They compliment each other so well, we can only guess who will do better on the day.
I cannot get Kane in any other way, unless I bring in a non-playing striker, or another way by a 4ph (I have 2ft)
Hammerfan, your team is wrongly linked to someone from the Christmas Island.
Hmmm-getting rid of a Son to get Kane.? Sounds like a biblical story to me (Cain and Abel – in this context, you’re killing off Son to enable Kane! Some nice wordplay available here!) . Good luck with the decision making!
how do i re-link it (that is so strange!!)
As always. Go to view gameweek history, copy and paste into your profile on here. Don’t forget to click on update at the bottom
I keep re-linking it, but still comes up with the same thing. How odd.
If you click on Pick Team it shows my actual team, not the Christmas Island Team.
Christmas Island? You’re not planning a nuclear option, hammerfan_lm?
Make sure once pasted to go to the bottom of the page and click update.
lol, no Kralin.
Ok, normal service has resumed and the correct name/team should be showing now
Yes you are back now.
You are right, it’s gonna take a hit on the top of the 2 FT, no other way. Trim down Pope and Vestergaard and you should have enough dough to do Gabriel↔Kane, no need to go for a nonplaying striker.
Ivan, if i went for Ryan @ 4.2m, that gives me 4.1m for a defender, and could go for Struijk @ Leeds.
I intend on WC – gw30 so can sort out having 15 fully playing team for my BB
Yep, goo plan. Go for it :good:
Although would it be better to maybe go for Johnstone and a non-playing defender, just so I have a dgw goalie?
Or I could do Jesus->Kane, Cancelo->Targett and Vestergaard->Struijk and still have Pope as a dgw (even though he has tough dgw fixtures.
I’m certainly tempted to bring him (DCL) in.
Not sure about going all the way with a TC, however.
Yeah not sure he’s TC material
Anyone thinking of WC26 and BB27?…..probably FH29.and TC at sometime later (not sure on whom).
I’ve done my bench boost but the rest I’m strongly thinking of doing. But yeah I think it works with a BB
The WC is ancient history for me so no to part one; I’m going to try to manage 29 in the traditional manner (transfers) rather than FH but circumstances or my own planning ineptitude may force me to use it.
I was all setup for WC25 and BB26, but in the last minute I messed up and there was not enough time, so I pulled off. Now, I can take -8 and play TC or, just WC for BB27 to get rid of WHU, LEEDS players whom I do not want long term. FH in 29 will work for me. Only BGW33 needs to be handled.
Sounds like you have a plan and I’m sure you’ll be all right. I blanched a bit at that -8 but the humungousness of the DGW will probably paper over a few transgressions like that.
I’m seeing the likes of Raphinha as longish term, potentially, because a) he’s quite handy and b) he’s pretty cheap. This season cheapish midfielders (I’m thinking Soucek and Saka) have helped keep sides well lubricated.
GM, I missed the boat for BB in 26 as most likely will be wildcarding with one in mind to use it for 27.
With 52(-4)=48 this week, i got a red arrow. This DGW looks like a trap, unless SOU-LEEDS end up in a high-scoring game.
Win some you lose some with double game weeks it’s the potential upside. That game could be anything
The GW isn’t over yet. A red arrow now is completely irrelevant.
