Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

From one DGW to another, in quick succession, we may have to get used to this.

Leeds book-end this one by kicking off our GW on Friday night away at Wolves @ 8pm.

Southampton are the other team with a double and they begin theirs on Saturday @ 12:30 at home to Chelsea. Jeff then has the excitement of Burnley vs West Brom to report on @3pm before we get to a derby 6-pointer as Everton visit Anfield @ 5.30pm. Fulham and Sheffield United see us out on Saturday @ 8pm, if anybody can be arsed. They won’t be.

The West Ham Cup Final kicks us off on Sunday as Spurs visit the dildo laden lot @ 12pm, Villa welcome Leicester @ 2pm, City will destroy Arsenal @ 4.30pm and Newcastle go to Old Trafford @ 8pm.

Our ‘normal’ GW ends on Monday as Brighton host Palace @ 8pm.

Our extended GW ends on Wednesday as the doublers of Leeds and Saints meet @ 6pm.

  1. I can see this going the same way as players not being able to bet on matches.

  2. Who would you prefer? Will have Leicester coverage in Barnes and Kane for Spurs

    A) Vardy, Stones and Smith-Rowe
    B Son, Cancelo, Brewster

  3. Hey guys, how risky is going without any Spurs assets for DGW26?

I have 1ft & 1.9itb. Full team posted below. I still have WC, BB and TC chips. Plan is to play BB for DGW26.

Plan A, was to take a -8 so I can afford to bring in Kane for Ings and downgrade two of Holding/Coufal/Mee to enable funds. This would mean bringing in 2 X BHA defenders or something along those lines with limited funds to play with.

Plan B – I can bring in Vardy by just downgrading Ings, leaves me with 0.3m to upgrade Holding to Konsa. This will give me 12DGW players & 3SGW for the BB.

Do I take a -8 and weaken my defence just to bring in Kane as I will have no Spurs cover for DGW26 or just go for it with Vardy and hope Spurs don’t go big?

Another factor to consider, currently leading all my ML’s and OR of 25,837. Seems like going without Spurs asset might be too much risk considering the masses have brought in Kane or Son.

    Cheers!

    • Could always do Ings to Kane?

      • Not enough cash

        • Will be 0.7m short hence the downgrade in defence. Ideally will want to keep midfielders as is.

    • If you bring in Kane for Ings what does that leave for a Mee replacement ?

      • Oh 4.3 I’d take Burn at Brighton that will work

  4. So reading earlier about professional footballers transferring out players from their own ff teams.
Question is how do you find out what another persons transfers are going to be,
    before the gwk deadline?

    • Haha. Had not even thought of that and now im baffled.

      • Would be good to know.
I remember a few years ago you could see how many transfers somebody had done before deadline,
        but not who they’d transferred.

        • Yeah i remember and they stopped that cause people could use that to work out their rivals transfers. Which only makes me wonder how people knew in advance.

    • You don’t so it’s all a bit pointless knowing

      • Hey Smash need your wise words of advice below
        Much appreciated.

    • I think you used to have the amount of money a player had in the bank and if they had made any transfers that game week. Then an algorithm was used which could work out the team value before and after and identify potential/likely transfers.

This season FPL doesn’t have the amount of transfers a player makes in the build up to the new GW so it’s done for.

  5. Hey guys
Cocked up bringing in Soton players thinking they’d have a double in 26
My plan was and still is to BB 26
But with Grealish out now the hits are starting worry me.?
    Thinking of this.. -8
    Bamford / Ings / Grealish
    Out for
    Kane / DCL / Harvey B
    Got 3m itb
    Any better options
    And Should I BB?

    • As far as -8s go I quite like that. As for BB yeah probably it’s got to be used at some point

      • Cheers Smash
        What u doing ?

        • Wildcard now. Free hit 29. TC Spurs I guess in other double

        • When is the other double Smash?

        • GW32 or 37 I think. Spurs v Saints and Everton or Villa in 37. Prob GW32

        • Thanks Smash

Think out of gw26 and gw32 for TC, has to be gw26.

        • For Spurs I’d prob prefer 32 as those teams will attack. Fulham and Burnley don’t give up many goals and will park the bus. More options this week though and there’s probably nothing in it

        • Yeah I can see the logic. I suppose everyone has different ideas.

I do have a near full squad of double gamer’s, so a BB is also a possibility. Its a tough one as I am thinking TC is best this week, but BB is a good option too.

  6. Hi lads,

Big few weeks ahead. I currently still have my Wildcard, Bench Boost and Triple Captain left. Looks like I’ll be top of the league by a couple of points by the end of this GW. Winner gets around 500 quid.

Looking at my team, I’m thinking to transfer out Grealish for Barnes and Triple Captain DCL. I’d have 10 DGW players then next week.

Question is, when do I use my wildcard and bench boost then?

    • Next weeks team would be this, except with Barnes in. I suppose the question is, is it more beneficial to WC now and TC later or do what I am thinking

      • The team for next week seems good enough. Do you iintend to FH for GW29? If not a WC in GW30 could make sense.
