Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29. Back so soon? Life as an FPL manager can be brutal! First world problems and all that, eh?! Three deadlines in the space of 9 days can take its toll mentally, especially when you have to try and factor in the upcoming blanks and doubles, and trying to do so by playing a bit of a guessing game at this stage.

Back at it we are though, and so are Spurs and Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, as they now seemingly enter a battle for 3rd / 4th spot with each other and also Man Utd, not quite the battle Spurs were hoping for only a week ago. We then have a relative treat at 3pm on Saturday with no less than 5 games. Man City look to keep the pressure on Liverpool as they visit Bournemouth, Brighton will be hoping to pull further clear of the relegation zone and in turn further condemn Huddersfield to their own inevitable fate, Burnley and Palace will be hoping their’s turns into a typical mid-table clash but both still need a few points on the board to make that a reality, Ole will be looking to continue to look invincible as Saints visit Old Trafford with their own agenda and Wolves will look to kiss and make up with their FPL fans with a home game against Cardiff, whose own fans may be forgiven for thinking their own team has already kissed the PL goodbye. What’s the record for the longest sentence ever?!

West Ham and Newcastle is finally looking like a genuine mid-table clash on Saturday evening. Give it three more weeks and the flip-flops will be getting packed in abundance for both.

Watford and Leicester kick us off on Sunday and continue the mid-table theme at 12pm, before a mini derby as Fulham host Chelsea before a proper derby closes us out as Everton look to derail the Liverpool title charge. They won’t, but it should be fun watching them try!

The games in full…

    A team 24 pts from 8 players.
B team 36 pts from 7 played and Bennett, Jota and Jimenez got 28 of them pts. Christ the 3 of them got 4 more points than the 8 of the A team.

What’s the OR on both teams, Elle?
I decided to go double this year (after a while) and it’s quite time consuming for me.
Team2 is actually doing (much) better than Team1(my main team) laugh

      • inittowinit says:

If managing 2 teams is taxing I dread to think what emigrating to Holland may do to you!

Check your emails, you and Raz now know each other…

        • Kralin says:

I wonder what the record is. Number of teams managed by a single manager. 200? Every eventuality covered, to the point of insanity.

Or to the point of a massive hit on a monstrous bong in an Amsterdam coffee house.

        • smile

Well, at least I’ll ditch the car and swap it for a bike (in case we choose the Netherlands)…
I’m just trying my luck here, as I’m pretty sure my wife will win this “game” …and we’ll end up moving to a country where there’s more than 300+ days of sun…

Went to Amsterdam on a stag-do. We had a good weekend but in all honesty it was the worst place I’ve ever been to! Granted, it probably doesn’t tick many boxes for me as I’ve never touched a drug in my life and I think the Red Light District is simply stupid and in all honesty the whole place just felt dirty and dangerous.

There’s my Trip Advisor post for the night! I imagine though if you’re into either or both of the said vices then you’d be like a pig in shit!

        • Raziel says:

Amsterdam is just one city and the places you visited are the places tourists visit. Doesn’t say much about the city more its selling point. I wish they were different and I don’t like the red light district either. As for drugs and hookers, they are everywhere.

Anyways. I would never move there or want to live there.

However Amsterdam is not the Netherlands. And the parts you visited are a bad reflection of human kind. Was your own choice and responsibility to go there though.

One thing I do know. Most problems there come from the English that drink and do crazy stuff there. 😉

        • Brookyboy says:

I’ve been to Amsterdam twice and enjoyed it both times.Went to the Van Gogh museum,Anne Franks house the waxworks museum and walked on the frozen canal. No drugs or hookers involved.Fair bit of drink though smile

        • Kop Warrior says:

I’ve been 3 or 4 times. No hookers but it’s been very hazy! smile

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Yep, Anne Frank’s house and Van Gogh were super, great bit of history and Van Gogh is one of my favorite painters, very beautiful city too with all the canals and nice architecture… There’s a lot more to Amsterdam than just drugs and hookers!

        • Visiting a city as a tourist and actually living there are two completely different things.
As for the stag-do’s/drugs & nightlife – > I live in Prague, so I for one should know how it is to live in a party-city & a tourist city.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

+1 So true! I’ve lived abroad so I know this personally too! Prague was amazing tourist destination though, really liked it!! How’s it to live there?

        • PRG is an amazing city to live in!
          The city itself is awesome.
Lots of things to do, even after so many years.
Quality of life is is getting better year by year.
          Lowest unemployment rate in Europe!
I started living there in 2006 and have lived there since (minus a few yrs travelling here and there).
I work in the travel industry, so I travel a lot (like a lot !!) and I still find PRG exciting.
It has evolved a lot from the 00’s and especially from the 90’s and it’s heading to a good direction in many aspects.

All in all, a magical city.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Yeah I was there for a week in 2015!! Not a single boring moment! Most beautiful (big) city in Europe that I’ve been to! And so cheap too (well when you live in Helsinki anywhere is cheap smile )

        • Brookyboy says:

Been to Prague too, beautiful city ! Was absolutely freezing !! Watched the Ricky Hatton Kosta Tszyu fight there at the sports bar in the square ! smile

despite the pogba blunder, got 35 from 9 which is pretty fine in a low scoring week till now. the person who’s third in my ML has 10 from 7. 14 points behind him. makes a huge difference if you had both jota and jimmy in your lineup.

      • Offalymartin says:

That’s a good score this week. I had Shane Duffy with 9 points which was a good differential too. Getting exciting now in the home straight. Even the order of subs on bench could prove vital

        • eresh12 says:

i had dunk on bench so gutted i missed out on his points but hey ho thats what i get going with shaw and doherty. no regrets but just painful to see 12 points on the bench from 2 defenders lol

        • Offalymartin says:

Yeah I know mate. I’ve been lucky enough this season not to leave much points on the bench.
