Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29. Back so soon? Life as an FPL manager can be brutal! First world problems and all that, eh?! Three deadlines in the space of 9 days can take its toll mentally, especially when you have to try and factor in the upcoming blanks and doubles, and trying to do so by playing a bit of a guessing game at this stage.

Back at it we are though, and so are Spurs and Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, as they now seemingly enter a battle for 3rd / 4th spot with each other and also Man Utd, not quite the battle Spurs were hoping for only a week ago. We then have a relative treat at 3pm on Saturday with no less than 5 games. Man City look to keep the pressure on Liverpool as they visit Bournemouth, Brighton will be hoping to pull further clear of the relegation zone and in turn further condemn Huddersfield to their own inevitable fate, Burnley and Palace will be hoping their’s turns into a typical mid-table clash but both still need a few points on the board to make that a reality, Ole will be looking to continue to look invincible as Saints visit Old Trafford with their own agenda and Wolves will look to kiss and make up with their FPL fans with a home game against Cardiff, whose own fans may be forgiven for thinking their own team has already kissed the PL goodbye. What’s the record for the longest sentence ever?!

West Ham and Newcastle is finally looking like a genuine mid-table clash on Saturday evening. Give it three more weeks and the flip-flops will be getting packed in abundance for both.

Watford and Leicester kick us off on Sunday and continue the mid-table theme at 12pm, before a mini derby as Fulham host Chelsea before a proper derby closes us out as Everton look to derail the Liverpool title charge. They won’t, but it should be fun watching them try!

The games in full…

  1. Hi guys,

I know then GW has not ended yet, but planning to move PEA out but for who? Don’t have a plan for the chips as of now. 1FT 2.2ITB

    Fab
    Digne Robbo Bennett
    Hazard Salah Pogba Anderson
    PEA Jimenez Barnes

    Hamer Brooks Wan-B Peltier

    • May not be a bad time to start thinking about planning for the chips, though it looks like you have ok coverage for 31 if not FH that week.

Will be moving Auba on myself, probably, and am looking at Vardy or a Bournemouth attacker. Vardy current favourite.

    • Vardy for me mate!

    • Yeah, I’m doing Auba to Vardy. Leicester have got a good list of fixtures. Will see how today goes though first.

    • Thanks Kralin, Cookie, Zed and LA. I may get Vardy in but need to see how he goes today

  2. Does anyone know why Jota was removed at 46th minute?

    • nuno said it was tactical. ben dinnery confirmed that on twitter

    • Tactical.

      • morning GP. good timing on the posts lol

        • Amazing!

        • :thumbsup .

hows things mate? looking forward to captain vardy dominating watford?

        • Hey eresh

It’s on me whether it goes well or bombs badly.

No-one advised it, I just fancied it for some unknown reason.

Sometimes you just need to back your hunch.

I’m well mate thank you. Yourself?

        • yeah. that makes sense. could be a good decision if hes onthe scoresheet mate.

im so-so GP. had to write up an appeal letter yesterday for an unfair parking charge that took half of my day. typical London.

also prepping for gw31 and have made a few drafts that i am planning to go with.

hows ur chip strategy if you have one?

        • No strategy mate.

I’m just keeping as many transfers as I can. I’ll maybe look later in the week.

      • That’s not good news. At this rate, he’d never complete 90 mins in a game

        • Not necessarily. It depends on how any particular game is going.

And you don’t need 90 mins to score FPL points. Lovely finish yesterday as well.

        • Yes GP. Have had very weird season till now. Was 17k, went till 460k. Now, after playing the WC, been raising since and 150k currently. Hope this form continues but worried about future BGWs and DGWs

  3. Hi all, I am thinking of following the site teams plans on chips, WC for 30, FH 31 and thinking TC on kun in 35. Do we know when spurs, arsenal and Chelseagames will be released? Huge part in this happening, has has his name in the hat for TC as well.

    • Wc in 30 ?

    • What’s the point of WC in gw 30 when there are an international break between gw31 and 32?

    • Gavy, that was just one of three suggestions that were put forward when we opened the floor on the issue. Probably the weakest one in my opinion, although it does have its merits in terms of allowing both BB and TC to be played in a DGW. Depends what best suits your current set up really.

They’ve said there won’t be any more rescheduled games announced until after GW31.

  4. Morning all

those that are building for gw31 and 33 with fts and using FH in 32

how many do you have already? I’ve only 5 atm so not sure if it throws that plan out of the window

    • I have 8 one of them is Billing so 7.5 really.

    • have just 3 right now. 6 is my target. but, don’t have WC left either. So, plan is to play FH32, prepare team for DGW35.. few -4s incoming.

  5. On that guys, would u recommend rice and Duffy in for kolasinac and Bennett?

    • Brighton dont play GW31. Depends on your strategy

      • Good point, I was sure they did, thanks for that. I must look at the tracker a bit more carefully.
