A relatively normal GW, certainly it is if you now consider the norm to be non-stop televised football from 8pm on Friday until 10pm on Monday anyway.

Fulham and Wolves kick us off on Friday night, with fantasy interest probably a bit thin on the ground.

Saturday is relatively short lived for once with Man City and Leeds at lunchtime, Liverpool seeking revenge on Villa in the 3pm game before Palace welcome local rivals Chelsea at 5.30pm. You get the night off after that. To watch Match of the Day.

Sunday is more elongated with Burnley and Newcastle easing us in, literally, as we all find some hoovering or ironing to do instead. Be a good one to earn some brownie points in as the next two look delicious. West Ham and Leicester will go at it at 2.05pm before Spurs and Man United do likewise at 4.30pm. Sheffield United and Arsenal see the weekend out at 7pm.

Monday sees us with two games, the early one at 6pm being West Brom v Saints before Brighton welcome Everton to conclude GW31.

Just be aware that GW32 begins on the following Friday, there are CL games in midweek again and that 32 itself is an odd one: Palace don’t play, Spurs play twice and it goes on for almost a week, but more on that next week.

The games in full…

Another rubbish 2nd half display by Spurs. Jose is just a wrong fit for the squad. dash

Thoughts from a Spurs fan on his refusal to play Bale? Seems ridiculous from a neutral POV. Well, mine anyway.

I suspect Bale was more of a Levy decision than Jose. He’s not a Jose type of player whose gonna track back. In regards to today’s game, 2-1 down and he brought Lucas off for Bale. Should’ve been one of the two DMs that he brought on. A defensive coach with an attacking team. Really hard to watch

        • inittowinit says:

Surely they speak about such things? Seems like a ridiculously wasteful piece of business if he won’t play him. It’s even more absurd given that he did start him a while back and he excelled. Presumably Jose was hoping he would bomb and give him the chance to say ‘told you so’. Stubborn bastard dropped him again regardless. Amd is now struggling for results.

Such a shame, he just needs a club / manager who will play him consistently.

          Richarlison DCL Bale

That looks ok to me yu

Those were exactly my thoughts that he seemed obliged to play him and had to continue playing him given he’s returns until he stopped returning so that he could drop him. I think Levy got sentimental given he’s earlier times with Spurs and I can’t fault him for that. I feel Bale is still class and just needs some TLC as what old wheeler dealer Harry said. Maybe it’s time for old Harry to come back and see out the remaining games for Spurs sarcastic

The gw is over for me. Will end up with 57 points. Not too bad i guess, but a bad captain pick en ALOT of points on the bench hurts quite a bit….
