Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36. It’s almost back to a
sense of normality for GW36. We saw ‘almost’ because we do have another Friday deadline this week (and while we’re talking about it, GW37 is the same). It’s Huddersfield’s chance this week to see if they can win the award for conceding the softest ever penalty to Liverpool as they visit Anfield. James Milner for captain anyone?!
We then move into the weekend proper and it’s a lunchtime kick off at Spurs as Poch’s men host their nemesis from the east end.
Four 3pm matches follow as Everton visit Palace, Fulham try and drag Cardiff down with them, we have a battle of the south coast as Saints host Bournemouth and Watford & Wolves get to re-enact their entertaining Cup semi-final.
The evening match sees Duffy & Dunk get another opportunity to taunt owners as they try and stop Newcastle’s modern day duo of Shearer and Ferdinand as Perez & Rondon stroll into town.
Only a few hours rest before our game-week comes to a close with Sunday’s final three matches.
Opening the show is Arsenal’s visit to Leicester before Man City have the chance to reclaim top spot as they go to Burnley.
The comedy is rightly left to the end as the spluttering divas from Man Utd and Chelsea meet at Old Trafford.
The games in full…

Welcome to our Fantasy Football leagues section.
The League Codes for FF247 for the 2018/19 season are as follows –
99 at the end of today.
You bloody tease FPL …
Who do you have yet to play GP? You should be raking in the points with a triple City bunch I suppose?
Good on you – from our favourite Scottie (Hmmm, 2nd favourite after Robbo?). We ken ya could dee it (cripes – that sounds like someone putting on a fake Scottish accent doesn’t it???) See ya mate
Hahaha nice one AJW.
Laporte and Aguero.
Take it as it comes now mate.
I always have been a denizen of that way of approaching things GP! Even if it means scooping up 35s, 40s, etc etc recently. Am on about 83 atm, with 3 to play (Laporte, Aguero, Sterlo), so I reckon I should be just on the right side of average this week – nothing really flash though! Ready to bring out that old Proclaimers’ album again!!! Glad to see brave little Perez scored a goal for me before going off injured – something the more ‘notable’ members of Squirrel City were incapable of (such as Son & Moura!). See you round!
Perez still on for 2 bonus too AJW
Serious? Wow – he’s even brave when he’s got his leg in ice on the sidelines! Thanks for the news Dreamers!
‘I’m on ma way from misery to happiness today…uhuh ahuh’!
GP – already knocking at the top 100k door there!
Like you forecasted.
:ok:
Is there any chance either of Aguero or Sterling to have 100% no-show?
Nope. They have a title to win.
No chance surely
Why would you want that! Like me you have JWP on the bench but surely you would want the city Duo to play!
As long as both of them outscore JWP(9), I don’t have any issue. But both of them are hit or miss. Lets hope for the best result.
Is there a chance of Leicester scoring more goals than Arsenal tomorrow?
Yeah I’m pretty fearful of not having Vardy tomorrow
Well surely as a Gunner I don’t want that, but we have multiple Arsenal teams and you never know which one turns up. By and large, our away form is aweful except the Napoli match. I won’t mind a 3-2 win vs. Leicester (with Vardy brace) and grab 3 points.
No, but there’s a distinct possibility that both get double figures.
If Brighton survive this season, they have huge problems going forward. There is very little goals in this team.
So many more opportunities to captain Duffy though
:big-lol:
It’s been a strange season. The good decisions (initial team selection, getting Son before everyone, Vardy/Tielemans, the bench boost and triple captaining Mané) have just about outweighed the bad (the first WC, not getting involved enough in the Wolves and Liverpool assets, Lucas Pérez, not captaining Aguero when I should have, not triple captaining Salah) but I’ve smashed through 2,000 points and 300k OR which is always my benchmark.
And what have I learned from this season that I can bring into next season?
No idea.
I’ll have a stab if I may;
Get more involved in the Wolves and Liverpool assets.
Buy Lucas Pérez at the end of the season.
Captain Aguero when you should.
Triple Captain Salah.
Thanks Init
Split it in 5-10 matches range and see which part of the season went wrong. Just looking at your GW history, I believe Gw11-30 (middle part) did not go well. You can even nail down to smaller segments.
E.g. Gw17-25, I always play bad – consistently lacking in last 4 seasons and drop back and then I kind of make it up, but eventually end in 2200+ points and OR of 20-40k (my usual range). This is probably due to switch of fixture or missing the bandwagons during that time.
Btw, I also missed (C) Aguero in those high return weeks. I almost did not have Sterling the entire season. I missed the initial Mane train. I have taken 56 PH, still I managed my 2200+ score with 2 weeks to go. I always had a POOL def and Salah (mostly my C).
Cheers GoalMachine much appreciated.
There was a bit of self-analysis going on last night using this tool.
It’s pretty good for seeing which sides dominated your team selection, the formations you used, performance against the (mean) average, which teams were best for providing points, etc. I’d recommend entering your id and taking a gander.
Thanks Kralin. That was a cathartic experience. Very helpful cheers.
Any early thoughts what to do here. One free transfer with nothing in the bank
Must be doing okay this week mate! See what eventuates after the CL fixtures!
Babel for Son?
I think you have attached the wrong team, I can’t understand how you still have Quaner in your team. What about Pogba for Son!
Front three – I actually bought Quaner this gw. Perfect enabler. Allowed me Mane for JWP and Quaner for Firmino.
That makes sense.
Ha ha I bought Quaner and Mane this week for Eriksen and Llorente
Other than Hojberg, I don’t see any change. But Hojberg is the enabler and has a good Gw38. Southampton is safe now – do you foresee any impact of that?
(1) Will definitely wait for UCL/EL matches
(2) If everything goes fine – save the FT (gives you 2 FT in 38 and flexibility)
Yeah that’s the problem. I could bring Kelly/Peltier in for Kiko and play him and bench Hojberg this week
I think I’d roll the transfer, Smash.
Can anyone give me updates on the current bonus points situation for today games??
Anyone specific?
Wolves Watford game
There you go buddy!
Ps it’s pretty easy to work out (although I use fix) just click on the match on FPL and it has a full break down of who got what!
Thanks mate
