Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Gameweek 37. Another Double Game-week you say? We’ll have some of that! Let’s just hope it’s better than the last one… This one begins on Friday night and goes all the way through until next Thursday. And just for housekeeping purposes you need to be on the ball a bit after that as GW38 begins less than two and a half days later on Sunday afternoon.

‘Live Match Chat’ won’t go all the way through to Thursday though, we shall be interrupting it on about Monday with the first of our usual flow of articles to get you ready for that final day push.

GW37 begins with the first of two games for both Brighton and Man United on Friday night.

Saturday then takes it’s usual shape with both an early and a late game bookending four other matches.

The remaining three games are spread over Sunday and that sees the end of our ‘normal’ ten games.

The ‘double’ bit of DGW37 begins on Tuesday with a huge relegation showdown as Cheerful Carlos entertains Horrible Hughes.

Wednesday sees the bulk of the doubles with four games before we finally close out on Thursday with West Ham hosting Man United.

Anyone scored fewer than my 22 (-4) points so far? Having a shocking week with TC Kane included.

Gotten kind of bored with this season and already looking forward to next. Just sitting here watching SSN, the Wolves parade along with that tw@t Warnock talking and starting to think who might be bargains. When does the World Cup fantasy open? :hippo:

      Next season. Salah a 12m striker? :p

      • Matt says:

He definitely won’t be a midfielder anyway. His price will be anywhere from 11.5 to 13 I’d say.

      • There will be a price ammendment at the start of next season, as usual.

        Kane will go down i.e.
That 13m crazy price tag looks funny now !

        Mo will be a striker…
        12m for sure…as a start.

      • inittowinit says:

Probably about spot on that Raz. Maybe 12.5. I think I’m right in saying he either already is or is about to become the highest points scorer in FPL ever. They can’t go straight to the 13 as he’ll score less points naturally because of the reclassification to striker. He’d have had 45 less points this season had he been one in this season.

        • Matt says:

Hey Init. I believe he’s 3 points off being top points scorer ever but with on more game left he could break Suarez’s old record.

Glad to see you’re doing your research for your pre-season article on Wolves already Matt! I see Neves has said he hopes to stay.

      • DMC says:

Not sure Neves is a viable FPL asset. He usually makes the perfect pass for someone to assist the goal scorer. That’s when he doesn’t decide to shoot from outside the box as we’ve seen countless times. Great player though and I could change my views if he gets to a bigger club.

        • inittowinit says:

I wouldn’t know mate, I can honestly say I haven’t seen a single minute of a Championship game this season. Although I appreciate that you may not have either, and that this is probably more based on him being one of yours, so to speak.

That just stood out when I checked the news as I think Matt was hoping he may go to Liverpool.

Looking at his stats I’d say you’re bang on as he’s only got 1 actual assist this season. And just 6 goals. Career wise he’s got 1 in 13 which makes this season about typical for him in that sense. Can’t say he’s enticing me too much.

        • billisBob says:

Looks like a baller, just not FPL wise.
Personally I think midfielders should get a point or two for if the make a certain number of “key passes” or even just a high pass completion percentage in the same way keeper get save points. Some points for Defenders who make a load of tackles in a game would be great too. The game would be much more interesting if we had an incentive to get good defenders or good defensive midfielders, not just goalscorers in our teams.

        • DMC says:

Yeah, you’re bang on too: I’ve never seen a Championship game. Ever!
Too many stoke-wba’s to follow every week already!! smile
Yeah, I know Ruben from his Porto days of course. Lopetegui (spain national team boss) was at the helm back then and he gave him a spot in the starting eleven at the age of 17. Very promising. He then struggle a bit with the new manager (that’s Wolves current manager) but to seem him excel in England at such an early age is great knews. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t make the World Cup. I don’t think he’s what Liverpool needs though. He would make a better job at City for example (great pass and possession) but that’s a bit crowded at the moment so maybe Spurs for him alongside Eric Dier. Anyway, not good for FPL!

      • Matt says:

There was another Wolves striker that’s on loan that said he hoped to make the deal permanent but I can’t remember his name for the life of me.

    Kruzcampo says:

Well he is 10.4 after 43 goals in all competitions so why would he go up so much. He won’t get the same number of goals next season so I would put him with PEA around 10.5 mill.

      DMC says:

No way josey. 12.0 is probably the correct number here. Kane too I suppose. Not so sure on the mid/forward front. If he is classed as a forward then so would Mane, Alexis, Sterlo, Sane and basically all and any playing on the front wings in a 4-3-3 formation. They could see it differently with him being so goal minded but many other are too. Ronaldo for example was and never stopped being a mid in FPL. All this just goes to show how bad this dgw is atm with us discussing next season instead of talking about potential three digits hauls! #dgwfraud

      Gavy says:

I think in around 10.5 or 11.5 tops. He’ll lose a fair few points been changes to a forward alone. Hed be 45 less as of now. Not sure how many BP hed be down too
