Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38. So here we are, at the final fence and whether you’re leading out front, chasing in the pack or fell a while ago, its a day to enjoy. For it brings a Sunday afternoon deadline, all matches start at the same time and anything can and generally does happen in GW38.

There is still the matter of the top spot to sort out – a win for City at Brighton will confirm another title for Pep, while Liverpool will need to beat Wolves and hope for a miracle from Duffy, Dunk et al.

Spurs need a point at home to Everton to guarantee their CL spot – only a big loss and a commanding win for Arsenal would see a reversal of fortunes for the North London pair.

Chelsea may have one eye on the Europa Final as they travel to Leicester while Watford will surely be fully focused on next weekend’s FA Cup as they host the Hammers.

The relegated teams of Fulham, Cardiff and Huddersfield will hope for one last hurrah as they take on Newcastle, Man Utd and Southampton respectively, while many a FPL manager will be hoping for a goal fest as Palace host Bournemouth.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 38 from all at FF247!

    Hi everyone.

I just want to thank you all for contributing to a great FPL environment, and for creating great FPL content. I also want to thank you for a fun and very well contested FPL league. I feel very lucky to have won it, and this site is one of the important reasons for me having a successful FPL season.

Most importantly, this site is a very inclusive FPL environment. There is some terrific content and great discussions here. I haven’t always had the time to contribute as much as i want, but i am very thankful for the feedback you guys give to the contributions to the site. Lastly, i am very excited to be invited to contribute again next year, and i will be looking to be a lot more active in the 2019/2020 season.

Again, thank you all. And enjoy the FPL vacation everyone!

Great post and a deserved winner! Well played this season and look forward to getting to know you a bit better next season/over the summer! Fantastic OR very very impressive!

It would be great if maybe you do a post/article on what you did and why this season ( I’m sure Init already has you in his sites for this!!).

      • ThePeleOfMissionary says:

Thanks mate, i really appreciate it!

I had a glance on your FPL season, and the finish to you season looks really impressive! Are you happy with the final result?

I would very much like to do something like that. As mentioned, i’ll be more active next season. If theres any interest in an article from my season, i would love to do it!

        • Rosco says:

If I say no I’ll look like I’m ungrateful!! haha it could have gone better, ditching Salah in GW16 (where I notice you captained him) had a huge impact, I lost a good 100 points over the following weeks until I brought him back, those 100 points would have changed the whole complexion of my season. However, after that slump, I am pleased with pulling it back and ultimately achieving a respectable rank despite my GW38 red arrow.

I’ve once again learned a lot this season, I’m still relatively new to the game so I’m still learning the ropes but there are some exceptionally good players (such as yourself) so great advice is only a few clicks away!

I’m sure Init will be in touch but I’ll flag this with him just in case!

        • ThePeleOfMissionary says:

Yeah, i know that feeling. There will always be decisions we end up regretting, and that we believe could have launched our seasons to a different levels. I think every single player gets a few big one wrong, and i think every one of tend to remember those decisions better than the ones we actually do get right. Remember, to reach top 25k, you’ve nailed a lot of difficult decisions. And man, well done on clawing back after a demoralising decision like Salah. I think a lot of players “switch off” a bit after decisions like that. Bouncing back is impressive!

Looking forward to interact more with you, and the others here next season. I dont think i am anywhere close to an “exceptional player”, and there is a loooot of room for improvement on the decision making front. But we all get better with each season, i think!

Massive congrats on the Regs League win there Pele, no mean feat that, especially when you look around at some of the other great ranks / ML success stories etc.

You did a stonker of a Capos article for us and so yes we’d love you back for more if you can.

I’ve emailed you about the prize and also the idea for an interview (or otherwise) article about your season.

      • ThePeleOfMissionary says:

Thank you, Init, i really appreciate it. You guys have created such a well contested league to go along with a great environment on this site. Feel very lucky to edge it this year, and already looking forward to the title defending season next year smile

I just saw the emails, and will be getting back to you shortly. But definitely looking forward to contribute for you guys!

Congratulations and well done Pele on a fantastic season and I’m sure we would all love to hear of your tips of success in an article as the lads have said.

      • inittowinit says:

That’s really nice of you to pop on and say so Ronaldo, you won it yourself last year if I’m not mistaken? Although it’s not actually the biggest prize one we do in terms of top spot it’s the one I’d want to win if I could choose one.

      • ThePeleOfMissionary says:

Thank you, mate. I really appreciate it! Feel very lucky to come out ahead in such a well contested league.

The end has come to another FPL season! The FF247 team is ridiculously wonderful. Like you guys are amazing!!

Great content mixed in with hilarous jokes…..LMAOOOO.

For me personally, best FPL season with OR of 264. I still can’t believe I finished that high. LOL

Am I the only regular here who had a nightmare of a season, my worst ever? Feel like I should be banished from the FF247 island….. sad

Anyway, it certainly wasn’t due to a lack of brilliant articles from the group here. We’ll be right back at it in no time. As long as my account isn’t deleted 😉 Cheers all.

I’m sure you’re not alone buddy!
I think when things go wrong your best bet is to try and figure out the why and come back stronger!! You’ll certainly not be banned at least not based on poor performance 😉

Col, i think we should collectively blame Kop, that is if he is alive and still contributing.

      • Colriles says:

B – Nah, all my fault and some crap luck this season. Feel gutted for Kop and the rest of the Pool supporters.

Rosco – if you could send along a list of bannable offenses as a reminder that would be a big help for me next season! :big-lol:

    The B says:

Hope you all had an amazing season. I finished at a rank of 284K. Not my personal best, considering the fact that i finished in top 10K in 4 of the last 5 seasons.

But ill take it. Well played City and Liverpool. A very entertaining season.

Appreciation for all those who regularly published tips and team news.

Next season has already got me thinking whether that horrible February 5-5 split Saturdays will be considered a single FPL week or if that already ties up our FH chip
