Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

After two bumper game-weeks, perhaps GW3 was merely a reality check. It matters not though as GW4 is upon us already, with fresh promise. It’s quite the condensed affair too, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Almost old school. Almost.

It begins with Leicester hosting Liverpool in the early game, giving many a Salah captainer a weekend long headache should he fail to produce. Five 3pm games follow in quick succession. Brighton will attempt to keep the Mitro show at bay. Bournemouth will hope to somehow halt Alonso’s inevitable march in to everybody’s fantasy team once again. Zaha will be looking to put one more nail in Hughes’ coffin. Wally will attempt to make amends for Richarlison’s stupidity. And Arnie will make a last ditch attempt to stop Pellegrini being fed to the Wolves.

The evening game should pique some interest as Man City play host to Ashley’s mercenaries. A classic case of an evening captain over an early one once again, in reverse? Perhaps!

Sunday sees us out with three away games for Arsenal, Man United and Spurs, going to Cardiff, Burnley and Watford respectively.

My first bad week. Frustrating. Might seem knee jerk to wildcard, but with Walcott and Zaha uncertainties, Mkhi, Lowton and being unable to get Alonso in without a hit, I’m very tempted to do so. Perhaps being quite high up to begin with is a curse too.

Pretty rubbish week after a good start with 41pts sad
Know most of you would advise against it but I’m leaning towards a WC as price changes probably won’t allow the moves over few weeks!
    Salah/Bilva/Miki/ to Mane/Hazard/Moura and Pickford/Skeletenberg to a couple of 4.5s ….what do you think?
Any Spurs fans got advice on Moura …know he’s competing for his spot with Son and Lamela but he seems to have earned his place, looks like he’s playing part of a front 2, Son prob not rushed back and will he be picked over Moura when back?
Also, any Fulham fans know if Bettinelli is now 1st choice?
Lastly, apart from Hazard are any of the above taking part in internationals next week?
    Cheers

ahh damn redkev sad really surprised you had luke shaw on 2nd sub and behind AWB.

      • RedKev says:

I know mate, I was really tempted to put him first or even play him but after looked through all the score predictions I went with Obi-Wan …gutted Miki came on for a 5 min cameo sad
        How was your week?
What do you think of the above moves?

        • eresh12 says:

they seem good Kev. WC might be the way to go. With CL starting in 2 weeks time, you could see rotation between moura and son, lamela too when he is fit. would keep an eye on the pressers if you are WC.

        • eresh12 says:

47 from 11. 1 point more from last week. bang average with deadwood on the bench. i want to WC after the 2nd IB and planning to hold on for now.

        • roccerfeller says:

Same mate. Was really counting on Mkhi today but alas.

At least this bodes well for him to start next match…….I hope !

        • RedKev says:

          Cheers everyone!
Agree Moura could be rotated but today showed Miki isn’t safe either and Moura seems the more attacking…can do easy swap back though if things change!
Yeah Init losing Salah a big risk but thinking Mane should at least cover 75% of his points while the others should get more than who I have atm. Cheers for the heads up on Mane/Moura!
Just to make sure, if I take hits for these over next couple of weeks, all hits will be cancelled as long as I press WC before the next deadline yeah?
          Any 2 particular £4.5 keepers you’d recommend?

      • inittowinit says:

eresh, stop trolling people! You’re not even trolling me but I still fell creeped out by it.

Kev I’m still not convinced on losing Salah being a viable long term strategy but I get the argument for it given the price difference and what that can enable elsewhere. Looking at the players though go for it I reckon.

Senegal play next Sunday, I can only assume Mane will be involved as it’s an actual qualifier for the ACN.

Moura isn’t in the Brazil squad.

        • RedKev says:

Ps. This is how my team will look after changes. Got decent cover if Moura is rotated and if Ricky drops 0.1 I can get a 4.5 instead of Bettinelli

        • eresh12 says:

hey red kev. will you be playing mostly 4-4-2 with that formation?

        • inittowinit says:

          4-4-3 I’d hope smile

        • RedKev says:

Not sure eresh, it will give me plenty of options and cover for any rotations/tricky fixtures. Was gonna drop Shaw to a 4.0 but think he’ll keep his place and can’t see how the extra cash will improve elsewhere tbh…it’s a move I can fall back on if needed. I may drop Arnie to Mitro as well after the City match when Arnies fixtures turn but won’t need to with the cover!
          Anything you’d recommend?

        • eresh12 says:

thats a good strategy Kev and thats a pretty good squad. Think C palace has 4 fixtures on the trot in a high difficult. see if patricio/fabianski rotates well with bettinelli.

    Terminators says:

It doesn’t look good for Arsenal and Spurs really. why does Cech still play now they have that new keeper and what has happened to Spurs defence, they seem to be playing up the wrong end of the pitch.

    Veer says:

    Evening fellas,
Should I use my WC over the international break? Don’t think my team is in bad shape but don’t think I’ll get a better chance to WC than this.

    roccerfeller says:

I’m first in my league, only one to get over 50 points this game week, yet I feel the itch to swap out Bilva and Mkhi for Hazard + 5.0 or cheaper

The sensible side of me knows it’s a poor idea.
