We doubt there will be many FPL fans left now then, such was the excitement and intrigue of the new ‘Nations League’, or whatever it is called. 16 groups of teams, some in groups of 4, some in 3, some can get promoted, some can get relegated, some can get into the Euros but only if they haven’t already and if they have then someone else can instead, who did worse. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…
Just in case anyone is indeed still interested then… FPL IS BACK! Thank goodness.
Saturday will see the majority of our FPL interest hit the field. ‘Super Sunday’ looks like it’s having a breather and is followed closely by its cousin ‘Mundane Monday’…
Spurs and Liverpool get us underway at lunchtime in what should be a very tasty appetiser. 3pm then sees Bournemouth and Leicester no doubt sharing a fair few goals, Chelsea probably starving Cardiff of any, Huddersfield hoping that Zaha’s brother doesn’t actually make a habit of DM’ing correct injury news about his sibling, Man City struggling to derail the Mitro train before slamming in a shed load of their own to render it unimportant anyway and then Newcastle and Rafa setting up a cricket formation around Cech with a silly point, silly mid off, silly mid on and a short leg. High flying Watford then host Man United in the evening game to see Saturday out for us, and just perhaps Jose too.
Wolves and Burnley is the early ‘Super Sunday’ game. Is it possible for a team to actually concede less than zero goals? We may well find out. Everton and West Ham will provide your late Sunday ‘entertainment’.
The lack of any tangible FPL involvement in the post Saturday TV games continues through to Monday for the south coast derby between Southampton and Brighton. Even if you don’t actually own Ings you’ll probably be praying for him to score by this point just so you can pretend to have something to say about it all!

If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

You are, in a way, but it’s not that those that did well only did it this time so yeah you are chasing the last 5gws point scorers. What I mean is I like your team and I do think that those that just scored the points you are after will keep delivering. That includes Giroud too. He seems to have won the spot and keeps delivering. In a fence on the Salah situation myself. I can take two blanks, but another one may have me think that I need to look elsewhere and look again in few weeks. Big onwnership still a problem though. I won’t rush any decisions just now. I also have a certain armenian to deal with but yeah on a WC I would certainly consider both options.

On a wildcard for game week and scored 60 points with Doherty (Wolves) and Hojbjerg (Southampton) left to play.
Could have been soooooo much better, took out Fraser (who was yellow injury doubt) for Seri costing me another 18 points.
Can’t complain as some you win some you lose.
Should see green arrows tonight.

I was going to get Hazard in the other week, but I have now, but trying to keep Salah so:
Alisson > Hennessey
Pereira > Zabaleta
Pedro > Hazard
Walcott > Kanté
Salah Mane Hazard and Aguero. That’s a serious strike force!

Seems odd that you wouldn’t take Pereira out after he made ‘only’ a good run against Southampton but you do take him out after he properly assists in a game.

Chelsea looking very strong. Not saying this just because of his hat trick but might now be the time to take the gamble of selling Salah and getting hazard? Price and form is very tempting
I’ve a feeling one or two may be doing that.
The risk is that Salah starts versus Southampton and gets a few points.
Balanced against that is Haz’s easy fixture versus WHU.
Further balanced are Liverpool’s fixtures in weeks 7 and 8, not that they’re in bad form.
I’d wait until the European dust has settled over the week.

The top of my ML gets him even though he was LAST on his bench! This game kills me!! 😆 He had Shaw and Mendy no shows and Cairney first on the bench who didn’t play either… How often you even get your 3rd bench player on let alone with a nice score like that 😆 😆

Commiserations. I doubt it’ll cheer you up to hear that I managed to fluke those points through Mendy not bothering to turn up today. Came in handy, I can tell you.
W-B is starting to look like a serious contender to start each week. What more does he have to do? Apart from the bad-boy behaviour v Liverpool, he’s racking up the bonus points. He’s been an absolute marvel.
Well, I had Pereyra first on the bench instead of Wan so 2pts coming off the bench! I had W-B playing instead of Ings next week for a week now, he’ll probably get a red again then!!!

I saw today as a triumph of patience, with King and Firmino doing remarkably well considering I wasn’t overly optimistic in either.
Yeah I have him on the bench as well, he should be coming in for Mendy though, Wan-Biss is still my best player lol!
He’s the ultimate bench fodder! But yeah, we should probably actually begin to start him occasionally.
