We doubt there will be many FPL fans left now then, such was the excitement and intrigue of the new ‘Nations League’, or whatever it is called. 16 groups of teams, some in groups of 4, some in 3, some can get promoted, some can get relegated, some can get into the Euros but only if they haven’t already and if they have then someone else can instead, who did worse. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…

Just in case anyone is indeed still interested then… FPL IS BACK! Thank goodness.

Saturday will see the majority of our FPL interest hit the field. ‘Super Sunday’ looks like it’s having a breather and is followed closely by its cousin ‘Mundane Monday’…

Spurs and Liverpool get us underway at lunchtime in what should be a very tasty appetiser. 3pm then sees Bournemouth and Leicester no doubt sharing a fair few goals, Chelsea probably starving Cardiff of any, Huddersfield hoping that Zaha’s brother doesn’t actually make a habit of DM’ing correct injury news about his sibling, Man City struggling to derail the Mitro train before slamming in a shed load of their own to render it unimportant anyway and then Newcastle and Rafa setting up a cricket formation around Cech with a silly point, silly mid off, silly mid on and a short leg. High flying Watford then host Man United in the evening game to see Saturday out for us, and just perhaps Jose too.

Wolves and Burnley is the early ‘Super Sunday’ game. Is it possible for a team to actually concede less than zero goals? We may well find out. Everton and West Ham will provide your late Sunday ‘entertainment’.

The lack of any tangible FPL involvement in the post Saturday TV games continues through to Monday for the south coast derby between Southampton and Brighton. Even if you don’t actually own Ings you’ll probably be praying for him to score by this point just so you can pretend to have something to say about it all!

Early days to be thinking of transfers with cl coming up. Definitely want rid of Wally. Thinking of Madison or Rich but not keen after Everton’s performance today. What do people think.

      Kralin says:

I think the two targets you’ve identified are the most likely to get points for you over the next few weeks. As you have Vardy maybe spread the risk a bit and get Richarlison. If you’ve loadsamoney then D Silva springs to mind.

    Mitro says:

    A bit early I know but What’s everyone’s plans for GW6?

    • 128.1
      Smash says:

Almost certainly Walcott out for Richarlson. I can let Walcott drop 0.1 as well

      eresh12 says:

may trigger the WC mitro and get hazard and mitro in.

      Terminators says:

      This is my set-up.
      Alisson > Hennessey
      Pereira > Zabaleta
      Pedro > Hazard
      Walcott > Kanté

Waiting for the inevitable criticism, I am not sure why people are so patronising towards me here though because I make changes to improve my team.

      • Smash says:

It’s a decent team. Just too many hits will damage your rank

      • Kralin says:

Hopefully I’ve never been patronising towards you, though I’ve certainly been (constructively) critical of your approach, both here and over at FFF. I think it would be easier for everyone, especially those trying to help you, if you could come clean about what it is you’re trying to achieve. Are you aiming for a high OR (unlikely), to win your ML (maybe) or just essentially create a new side each week, determined as much by colour co-ordination (which I know you attach importance to) as anything else?

Otherwise all you’re going to get is:

First thing is you always reflex transfer and never give players a chance, playing the short game each week; secondly you never wait for the GW to end; thirdly you don’t take into account cup games inbetween gamesweeks and finally you take huge hits each week, starting each GW at a huge disadvantage. It’s almost anti-fantasy you play.

I used to joke over at FFF that there are ‘secret’ leagues out there where managers are aiming for the lowest score each week. Your strategy almost makes me think you’re trying to do that. It’s not hard to see why people may be a bit questioning.

I love you like a brother, Terminators, but you need to be honest with us about what it is you’re trying to achieve. Try to see it from our side.

      • secretzorro says:

You’re just a taker & then complain? Try helping others sometimes & listen to Kralin, he’s trying to help you mate.

      • inittowinit says:

Easy to see why, to be fair. 99% of people on here take the game seriously. Some, very. Myself included. You can see the emotions vividly in the posts. And then when they see someone not so involved, such as yourself, but also then see that person recommending that others buy players for a hit in order to just bench them then it’s more than understandable that they will pour scorn upon that.

Having Kralin vouch for you goes a long way, but I’d heed his advice too if I were you.

        • Nike_007 says:

Another thing to be considered is that you ask for advice but then barely follow it anyway, going ahead with your own Hit Away strategy. You seem to come to the site with a plan already set in your mind, and just looking for validation. However no one here is going to tell you what you want to hear, no one will recommend you to take so many hits. So if you keep asking for advice that you would just disregard and then return next week and repeat the cycle, it is understandable that people over here are a little irritable around you.

Hey All. hope most of you have been having a good GW so far.

i may plan to WC this week. here are the 2 squads i drafted up so far. would like to know if u would go with either team 1 or team 2 and anyone specific i should try getting in.

    The B says:

58 points with Gross and Ings remaining. Cant believe I have no one coming in for Mendy. Poor bench. Gotta sort this stuff out. With Aguero and Mendy injured, think its the best time to play WC for my team.

I have finally linked my team guys!

    Kunal says:

Got Pickford and I’m getting pretty frustrated, looks like he’ll never keep a CS. Dont want him but don’t have an extra transfer for a go either. Basically playing with 10 men every week.77pts with Ings to come, good week for me tho. Removing Salah for Hazard and captaining him worked wonders

    • 131.1
      Rosco says:

I remember making a similar post last season, obviously he started getting the CS as soon as I sold him!!
Well done on that score this week! I had a shocker! It’s a case of those with Hazard having a good one, those without having a stinker!

    hammerfan_lm says:

Like others, I know its far too early…lol
    GW6 team:

    Ederson
    Azpi/Robertson/Tomkins
    Wally/Kante/Salah/Pedro
    Firmino/Arnie/Aguero

    Speroni/Cedric/Bennett/Cairney
    FTx1
    ITB-0.7m
At the moment, my strikeforce are all flagged 75%. Does anyone have any updates on them?
Obviously I will wait as long as possible.
Can I maybe get away with carrying over my FT.
I am starting to lose patience with Salah, and also think I have got OTT with my Chelsea midfield. Maybe need to lose Kante over the next week or so, hence why I need to carry it over..
Thoughts please, especially as its a CL week.
