We doubt there will be many FPL fans left now then, such was the excitement and intrigue of the new ‘Nations League’, or whatever it is called. 16 groups of teams, some in groups of 4, some in 3, some can get promoted, some can get relegated, some can get into the Euros but only if they haven’t already and if they have then someone else can instead, who did worse. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…

Just in case anyone is indeed still interested then… FPL IS BACK! Thank goodness.

Saturday will see the majority of our FPL interest hit the field. ‘Super Sunday’ looks like it’s having a breather and is followed closely by its cousin ‘Mundane Monday’…

Spurs and Liverpool get us underway at lunchtime in what should be a very tasty appetiser. 3pm then sees Bournemouth and Leicester no doubt sharing a fair few goals, Chelsea probably starving Cardiff of any, Huddersfield hoping that Zaha’s brother doesn’t actually make a habit of DM’ing correct injury news about his sibling, Man City struggling to derail the Mitro train before slamming in a shed load of their own to render it unimportant anyway and then Newcastle and Rafa setting up a cricket formation around Cech with a silly point, silly mid off, silly mid on and a short leg. High flying Watford then host Man United in the evening game to see Saturday out for us, and just perhaps Jose too.

Wolves and Burnley is the early ‘Super Sunday’ game. Is it possible for a team to actually concede less than zero goals? We may well find out. Everton and West Ham will provide your late Sunday ‘entertainment’.

The lack of any tangible FPL involvement in the post Saturday TV games continues through to Monday for the south coast derby between Southampton and Brighton. Even if you don’t actually own Ings you’ll probably be praying for him to score by this point just so you can pretend to have something to say about it all!

  1. Who said doubling up with any defense is a bad thing?! Had Patricio and Boly last week and this week Patricio and Doherty!!! Was rather hangover this morning but the wolfpack didn’t let me down!!! Sweet!! smile

    • I think when those cheap defensive doubles work out there are fewer sweeter feelings in fantasy football. Great stuff and well done for having the balls to try it.

  2. I’ve just taken a hit after a WC crap I know but cash is king early doors it’s the first time I’ve gone early with wc but I thk it works cash 102.3 probably 1m leas selling price getting there sitting about 100k but team looks ok

    • What you done?

    • so you forgot to activate and done the transfers causing the hit silvers?

      • You need to get up to speed with ‘Silvers speak’ eresh smile He’s played his WC last week, and was so unhappy with it he got drunk (coincidental) that he then took an immediate hit this week already. As you do, and all that!

        • thanks for the heads up innit. just realized his team is not linked to his name so had some confusion earlier lol

    • Sorry guys got busy last night yes taken a hit after my wc & yes I was a bit worse for wear my wc card team didn’t do to bad 71 all out just made a mistake so put it right before price increases

Always a good idea to make changes when drunk 😉

  3. Guys would ye recommend getting in Fraser and richarlison for neves and walcot?

  4. Evening guys terrible week.
Red arrows and dropped few places in the league.
U think I need to wc?

    • Not at all. Wally, Mhiki and Pedro can be moved out for someone in form but otherwise it looks a solid team

      • Yeh hard saf
Only got 1ft this week so have to take a hit

        • I would just pick one of the 3 and tree them out

    • Nah just Mkhi and Walcott are problems. If you want Hazard Firmino will have to go

      • Yeh think I need hazard.
        He killing me smash.

  5. Guys, do I need to ummm wildcard? If so, I do it tonight.

    • just done mine now raziel. here it is so far with 0.5 ITB

      • Nice team Eresh …almost identical to mine (bringing Ricky and Mitro in) bar your keepers and Doherty so I may be biased!

        • cheers red. i may change back to salah and hazard depending on how salah does this tuesday. also keeping an eye on moura and may change to david silva if required,

    • No you don’t.

The only player you have who’d set the klaxons wailing for me is Pickford.

    • Does not look like a team in need of a wildcard to me. Is it the lack of Hazard that has made you consider it? If so anyway of getting him in without a wc?

    • Are you taking the piss Raz?! :p

  6. So Doherty clawed back a bit of respectability for me this GW but not a great one so far; hopefully Ings can do the business tomorrow.
Does anyone think doing Cairney > £4.4/4.5 is worth it giving his price is dropping tonight? From what I’ve heard he should be in contention to play vs Watford but it would suck losing £0.2 on my 5th mid.
    Cheers.

    • 1FT £0.1 ITB btw. This Cairney price drop is stressing me out!

    • Does it really matter?!

      • No, but the TV is going really well at the moment and I’m always so anal about it at the start of the season! Looking at this team I might just roll the FT, depending on the midweek fixtures. How did you get on this week?

        • 56/57 or so. Probably average for someone with no Hazard this week.

I’m not one for building TV so sympathy for a probable bench player going down is thin here!

Bigger picture is that there are a number of European games featuring players who will make your actual starting 11.

        • True, the dreaded City rotation wheel is starting to spin

      • Nope. In have him and couldn’t care less.

        • I think he’ll surprise you soon. If he comes back fully fit he can be a dangerous player.

        • Yeah AK – that’s why I couldn’t care less about the price drop! I care about the player. This injury didn’t help his cause but he’s capable of good things so I’m keeping him. On a WC I perhaps wouldn’t, but not being the case I’m fine with it.
