Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5.
We have no less than seven games to get us back into the swing of things on Saturday and many a captaincy decision will be tested early doors as Liverpool host Newcastle in the first one at lunchtime.
We then have five 3pm games as Burnley visit Brighton for a clash of styles, a beleaguered Man United host a vibrant Leicester, Sheffield United look to continue where they left off against Chelsea as they play a Saints team unsure of their identity or ability, Spurs look to rediscover theirs as they face Palace and then Wolves look to shake off the Europa shackles when they face the kids of Chelsea.
Saturday draws to a conclusion as Man City hammer Norwich.
Sunday sees two games; in the first Bornemouth will be looking to kickstart their season with a win against Everton and the later game sees Watford host Arsenal.
We have a Monday game this week and it’s the ever improving and promising Villa against the seemingly never-improving and perpetualy disappointing West Ham.
The games in full…

Anyone following the Wat-Ars game?
How’s the new coach doing, the stats looks like they are playing quite offensive play?
Part of it is just because Arsenal have been absolutely horrendous with the ball downstairs, loads of misplaced passes leading directly to a shot on goal… So in a nutshell it’s just because Arsenal are so bad defensively

31-7 shots and the horrendous show ended. I don’t know why we bought PEPE and not a defender. If its a long term plan and we got PEPE, have a defender in pipeline plan by next season – then its okay. If we think we can manage with just Saliba, Holding next season – I don’t think its a good idea. Sokrates and Luiz are on the dipping curve of their career. Mustafi does not have important qualities of a def. These 3 will not last long anyway.
Kane to Abraham
Ceballos to son sound good for a -4?
Very nice!
Yup
Just a note – check mid-week UCL games and do your transfer after that.
Can only afford to do it now.
Son and Tammy both going up in price tonight
Do it.
Lads anyone know the story with Rico. I know he’s only bench material but he started again today.
Thinking of kelly-rico which allows me James- Mount
I guess could also consider Hanley (Norwich) ?
Thanks oddDane. Hanley hasn’t played for a bit. Will he be back in do you think.
He was injured, but would otherwise have played as I understand it. Longer term there may be someone back from injury to replace him, but he currently looks ready to play
Nice one. I must check it out.
Rico will carry on few more weeks I guess. Daniels is out long term. Adam smith has a hammy and got a set back – so he will also be out for a while I guess. Lloyd Kelly is in training and expected back on 25/09. But I am not sure whether he will straight be in – I don’t think Howe will risk him unless he is match fit considering the def. injury condition of BOU.
Cheers mate. I might take a chance on him with the hope of doing James-Mount
Think I’m going to pull the wildcard out and refresh this bunch
What is bad in this team to WC?
looks pretty strong as is, looking to shift your def value torwards a third fwd and mid upgrade?
Yes thinking of moving to 3-5-2 or 3-4-3.
I’ve been missing out on Abraham / Mount points and Ceballos was a punt which I don’t think will pay off now. Maybe I can do it with my 2FTs instead.
Saw you had 0.6itb -> out VVD to a 4def and upgrade greenwood to Haller/Abra?
This team looks good as it is. Not a fan of double Pool defense. You can perhaps downgrade VVD and upgrade Ceballos over the next few GWs.
Not bad team at all.
How much ITB?
Possible long term: downgrade Robbo [or VVD] & Ceballos to fund green to Abraham & you are done.
or same but Barnes for Abraham to accommodate Son later.
I could do VVD and Ceballos to 4.5 and Cantwell. That then leaves enough to do Greenwood to Abraham next week.
Longer term thinking I could do VVD and Zinchenko to a 4.5 and 4.0 and then do Ceballos to Son.
Interesting choices.
0.6 ITB
Maiden Sunday night reminder of the season.
SEVEN teams play in Europe this week.
You could have problems to deal with, so save your transfers as late as you can.
We also have another 7pm Friday night deadline.
#busy
Have this firm habit of not even logging into FPL when there are midweek games.
Yep going to be a long week having done my transfers
Hi all. 2 fts , 0 ITB.
Is Abraham a must have? Would you do it tonight before price rise again?
How would you fund it? Digne downgrade? Worth a punt on Aurier or too risky?
Thoughts ?
Your team is fine in my opinion.
But very tempting to get Abraham now. ?? Kun/Cantwell to Abraham/Son [or Abraham/KDB]
Dreamers I think Abraham is not going up in price tonight. I am in same situation. I was thinking Barnes & Digne to Abraham and not sure who, but will wait till tomorrow.
