With five of the big boys, and also Arsenal, having been on European duty this week we may be about the hear the dreaded ‘R’ word a number of times over the next few days as the team-sheets roll in. Certain key personnel such as Hazard were given the week off, other ones played (relatively poorly) and then proceeded to wander around with a pack of Lemsip in their hand afterwards to further fuel speculation as to their possible involvement. All will be revealed in due course though…
Watford pitch up at Fulham to kick us off on Saturday lunch-time to test their strong arm tactics against the strongest of arms in the shape of Mitrovic. Expect fireworks. New FPL favourite Fraser then gets a taste of real Northern ‘hospitality’ at Burnley to begin our 3pm games. Cardiff will hope, probably in vein, not to be the victims of a Pep backlash. Zaha will no doubt get fouled and subsequently wound up like nobody’s business against Newcastle after last week’s revelation that he ‘gets fouled a lot and gets wound up by it’! Vardy then gets another bite at grabbing our attention with a tasty home game against Huddersfield. Salah will then divide an FPL nation by either appearing against Saints or not, and that’s before he even gets a sniff of kicking a ball or two into their net, or doesn’t. Either way, avoid twitter would be our advice, the idiots will be out in full force! Jose’s reinvigoration will be severely tested as the Wolves come a hunting.
Our evening game, after a breathless Saturday afternoon, may end up with Poch wandering alongside the Brighton seafront, supping from a can of Special Brew, muttering nonsensical musings to himself, if the current pattern is to be believed. Or Kane could score a hat-trick and half a million wildcards will be suddenly and unexpectedly activated. Football, eh…
Sunday then sees a supposedly rejuvenated West Ham face a supposedly in form and title challenging Chelsea. Time will tell on both fronts. Arsenal and Everton then close our week out with a challenge as to which one is worse at playing the ball out front the back.

Hazard’s a nice one to have up your sleeve – as is Alonso.
Sticking with Salah is absolutely fine.
Interesting to see the Shaq get two assists today, the first one a bit bizarre (I’m not suggesting he’s a transfer option yet, I hasten to add).
Maybe there’s a big swap going on with Aaron Lennon.
Perhaps the next two fixtures are troubling some managers.

What do you both think of this. Mendy and Pereyra out for Laporte and Maddison. Laporte seems nailed and in good form. Cheap at 5.6. Maddison is doing the business and great fixtures too

I just brought in Maddison so can def favour that move, actually debating Mendy to Laporte myself so cant argue with that, was thinking of bringing in Pereyra a few weeks back but as I said on the ffsurgery podcast, I think he was at fault for both Fraser’s goals last week so wasn’t surprised he was benched this week

Paid 9.7 for Mane, my moves this week were to free up money to bring in Haz for him Just Incase Salah turned up. Not sure what move I’ll make now but whatever I do it’ll be next Friday as my early move for Fraser nearly backfired, that said, my hit for Maddison wouldn’t have happened had I waited and my move would have been Pedro – Fraser rather than Maddison… all good until Theo trolls me tomorrow… with Hazard !

Hey Rosco am contemplating Pereyra to Maddison and Laporte for Mendy tonight. I know I should wait for the cup games but I think they could be safe bets.
Eresh if I got those moves in I’d go 343 with Bennett, Laporte and Alonso/Robertson.

neilos. those r good moves but i would wait until after the cup games. keep an eye out on the cb pairings against oxford united. i also have a feeling laporte could get rotated.
thats a good 3-4-3 neilos. i am planning to go with doherty walker and alonso. i have a feeling neither team will get a CS, both teams score and alonso perhaps edges it on the points over robbo.

Don’t make any moves till all midweek games are played!! I messed up badly this week and got away with it but it’s just too risky with mid week games! Don’t think it’s wise to ever make moves whilst the GW is still active either, far too reactive! Just wait!!
Oh and I’ll reiterate what I posted earlier, I don’t think Mendy has any injury so don’t move him on till we hear he has a 4th different injury!!
I can relate, felt the sane about Fraser last week! Weird thing is, had I not bought Fraser early, I’d never have had to take the -4 for Maddison in for Pedro last night! Not sure that to make of it all! If I’d sat on my transfer I’d have 100% brought in Fraser for Pedro and kept Wally. Until Wally grabs a brace tomorrow it feels like karma!

56 points for me today with Alonso, hazard and richarlison left to play.
Green arrows all the way, jumped 96,000 places to 131000 and more importantly reduced the gap in my mini league.
I would imagine that with Chelsea playing Liverpool next weekend, most folk will will have four, five or dare I say six players involved in that game.
