      Cheers Padster.
I think these price changes are getting ridiculous. Kane and Son haven’t even played yet and they are going up. They have two games ahead before the next GW (Burnley today and EL on Thursday), so anything could happen (covid, injuries, etc). I hope not, of course, but there is a possibility of it…

      • AJW says:

Like a rush to stock up on essential items in times of crisis (eg. loo paper, petrol etc), people are buying early to avoid price increases, and to limit their losses in TV, thus actually creating the price increases they sought to avoid! It’s like an inflationary effect in FPL terms! Someone must be able to come up with an FPL version of ‘monetary policy’ in order to stem this inflation! (Any economists amongst us?)

        • AJW says:

Actually it adds quite a fun element to the whole process (‘Should I, or should I not….?’). Added difficulties on all fronts.

        • Tornado says:

As we need more difficulties in this already mad season :laugh2:

Funny you should say that, AJW, both my BA and MA are in Economics and your comparison is very accurate. And yet I still find that rush a bit unnecessary and risky.

        • AJW says:

Perhaps you’re right there Tornado – was trying to find positives where they don’t need to exist! smile

      • Gavy says:

Yes I find it very annoying. I am making moves during game weeks to stop price changes!

Hello all, after very bad couple of GWs (slipped down OR as well as in ML) this is where my team is at. 1 FT and 0.5 ITB.

I can roll FT for GW7 or just go for the Vinagre > Kilman now before losing any more value.

What else do you good folk suggest I change in this team going forward in the next couple of GWs?
I dont quite like the look of my 4th Mid (Podence). If only I had the extra funds to upgrade him to Zaha :unknw:

Someone make me feel better please…

Took Che Adams and Doherty out for Kane and Kilman for a -4.

Predictable result so far. Plus Justin and McCarthy sitting on my bench with 12 precious points.

When has a hit every paid off in the history of FPL?

      AJW says:

It sometimes does pay off – and quite often repays the points over several weeks (we just don’t realize it, as we don’t bother to keep an eye on the players we cast aside, do we?). Tonight for example, Kane could quite conceivably score more points than Che did, and if he does really well, then he could recompense you instantaneously As for Kilman, I was listening to the match on the radio, and his name was mentioned every few minutes – validating what others said about him (ie. he looked good in the match, although Wolves did not get a CS). So be happy with your moves – I think they could bear fruit, and sooner rather than later! smile

      • AJW says:

And take heart from your benchies – when it comes time for the BB, then you know it might have been a good decision. Also in the current climate you don’t know if someone may have the ‘night sweats’ and get taken out for Covid testing (at least a week out of action) and be replaced by one of your high-scoring substitutes! So you have many reasons to smile, or at least be comforted by your decision making. smile

    Veer says:

    Morning all,
Hope the GW is going well for you, and if you’re also one of the many relying on Kane and Son tonight let’s hope they can produce the goods for us

I’m looking ahead to next week, don’t really see any obvious moves here. Zaha and Ings were previously the ones I was looking to move on but they’re both getting points so I think I’ll be holding onto them. Save the FT, or anything you guys would suggest?
